Why The North?
Preference For The North East: In my opinion, it will be fair and just that the North East be allowed to present the presidential candidate for PDP in 2019. The reason being that the North East is the only region in Nigeria that is yet to produce president of this country. Fortunately for PDP, we have credible chieftain in the person of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu (Adamawa) that has the personality, charisma and credibility to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with incumbent Muhammadu Buhari. We also have Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe state. South East Should Produce The Vice Presidential Candidate:For the Vice Presidency of 2019, the South East deserve the slot to compensate for their loyalty to the party. Also considering that of the three regions in the South, only the SE that has not been on the joint Presidential ticket of the PDP since 1999. While the SW produced the presidential candidate in 1999 and 2003, the SS produced presidential candidate in 2011 and 2015, and VP candidate in 2007. Having a candidate from the SE in the 2019 ticket will be correct politically, morally and on the basis of equity. While this joker proudly named northerners worthy enough to rule Nigeria, he couldn't give us or name any worthy or credible candidate or individual from the SE. This of course wasn't an accident or innocent omission on his part, it's basically the general understanding in NIGERIA that there's not a single human being in the SE within the same worthless PDP Nigerians just rejected and banished credible or worthy enough to rule Nigeria. And per the rest of his thoughtless and horseshit post, it's the same unintelligent and pointless nonsense... |

Tomjazzy2: Having painstakenly taken a very calm perusal at the draft copy of President Buhari's independence day speech, I can not but begin to wonder who drafted the speech of this importance.
The said speech is regrettebly fraught with some collosal errors, and I make bold to say here, has caused us an international embarassment.
In the second paragraph for instance, the President opined that Nigeria is the "ninth most populous nation" in the world.
Any one who knows elementary government do not need to consult an oracle before realizing that Nigeria is infact, the 7th most populous Nation in the world.
Furthermore, in the 17th paragraph, another laughable error was made, when the President said "...I have ordered a complete audit of our other revenue generating agencies, mainly CBN, FIRS, Customs, NCC..."
Apart from FIRS and Customs mentioned above, surely, neither the CBN nor the NCC qualify as a revenue generating agency. To be sure, both agencies are strickly speaking, regulatory agencies.
Or has the scope of those agencies been reviewed to include generating revenue for the country?
If the President have severally been discribed as some one who takes his time in anything he does, one who pays attention to every detail, then this speech leaves much to be desired. Do you really think the NCC gave away their licences and services free of charge or the credit card payment section on their website was inserted there just for decoration and not for fee payment and collection? Before ranting away with ignorance and thoughtless rubbish about other people, try scrutinize your own shallow and empty brains first... http://ncc.gov.ng/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=120&Itemid=111

That he was a self-made person before even planning to contest for the election. The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly on Tuesday 29th September, 2015 approved a N10 billion naira loan for Governor Udom Emmanuel. Civil servants are being owed salaries in the State. Despite the harsh economic situation in Akwa Ibom State, the government spent several billions on the 28th anniversary celebration of the creation of Akwa Ibom State, which took place on 23rd September. This is a direct opposite of the federal government independence anniversary celebration. President Buhari according to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation "reluctantly approved" only N70 million naira for a low-key independence anniversary. The richest state in Nigeria and largest state budgets in the whole of west africa is borrowing billions on top of the billions it already borrowed and still owe... Federal Ind celebration = N70 billion while common Akwa Ibom spent billions on the same thing.. lmao.... |

IGBOSON1: ^^^Interesting! So you're the one spamming this website with those pics!?
Now listen mate! Do not take the views expressed by a few political jobbers who just happen to be Igbo as a summation of the wishes and desires of a majority of Ndigbo! They have their reasons -whatever they may be- for deciding to go for a northerner come 2019; their decision could either be borne out of selfishness on their part or it could be borne out of a belief that the Hausa/Fulani hegemonic oligarchy -who it appears call the shots up north- are a bunch of self-centered, devious desperados willing to do whatever it takes (emphasis is on the word 'whatever') to retain power come 2019, and hence are prepared to make some concessions in order to wrest power back from the chiseling lying crooks that go by the name APC!
Knowing what you know about the core muslim norths desperation for power, do you honestly believe they would welcome and work with any Igbo name presented (or even Yoruba for that matter)? What we're witnessing is a group who have successfully sold a blatant lie to the rest of us concerning their population figures, and hence have managed to get the necessary number of states -via a succession of questionable census counts- enough to be able to cause an upset when needed and dictate the pace to the rest of us!
We're also seeing the results of mistrust in the southern part of Nigeria which they're capitalizing on! Ever wonder why it's 'one North', but when we want to talk of one East or one Southern Nigeria someone appears from nowhere to scream 'never' or 'attache by force'?
Newsflash mate: we all in the south are beholden politically to the rapacious and unforgiving northern political/clerical elite! This is the result of the status-quo presently in operation....a status-quo Igbos are trying to change while the core muslim north are fighting to retain! Why else do you think they've consigned the outcome of the recently concluded national conference to the scrap heap!?
Now can you tell me when the Yoruba have held power at the center without the say-so and tacit approval of the North? The two times in question (OBJs first and second coming)....we have the history books to enlighten us further! Now if a Yoruba can only be Head of State or President with the blessing of the core muslim north, what does that make you?
You call Igbos slaves to the north abi? How can this be so when we can survive without them (or your 'one Nigeria') yet they can't survive without us? Doesn't this make them not only enslaved to us economically, but shameless to boot!?
If you know anything about Ndigbo you'll know we can do alright with or without holding the keys to Aso Rock! Can we say the same for your precious north? We all saw how they threw a blood-soaked tantrum when they were out of power for just 14 years (from OBJ to GEJs tenure)! Doesn't this make them a slave to partisan politics? Now check out various developmental indices and tell me between Ndigbo that you stupidly mock and your northern friends who have held power the most, just who is better off!
You're small-minded, to put it mildly! The fact that after tens of thousands of ibos were slaughtered up north after your '66 follish coup adventure, you exodused back to your villages in the east, then turn around and return to the same north even considering the fact that you are still getting killed means you can not do without them Also simply because iboland is socially and economically depressed and unproductive and generations after generations of ibo young and adults have to migrate to seek their daily bread in the same other parts of Nigeria that you love to hate means Nigeria can do without you while you can not do without Nigeria.. ...so much for your flawed and myopic assertions.. |
