Unfortunately, YES! Super Eagles hasn't given me the kind of joy that Messi has been giving me since 2005.

Meanwhile;

Alex of Japan is a Brazilian that played for Japan and played against Brazil in 2006 world cup

Deco is a Brazilian that not only played against Brazil but scored a powerful free kick when both sides met in friendly.

Jerome Boateng played against Ghana in 2010 even against his own biological brother.

Gloria Anozie a sprinter for Nigeria ditched Nigeria to win medals for Spain. It's about what gives one joy.

How much more supporters?

I love Messi more than Super Eagles (not Nigeria) and I want him to win the world cup. He has made me happy for more than a decade unlike Super Eagles that almost gave me high blood pressure in 2002.
You better go back to bed and dream again

Messi winning a world cup is a piper dream

Moreover just cos Super eagles had dissapointed you before doesn't mean they can't make things right this time

Super eagles all the way ( optimistic though)

You are not alone.

All true Barcelona fans must Stand With Messi though he disappointed us against Iceland and Croatia but he is our legend. He made football worth watching for us since 2005 (when I started watching him), he is the true el-Messiah.

Super Eagles on the other hand has caused me more pains than joy, I rather stick with the one that has been giving me joy even when I'm down.

Foreign AffairsKenya Opposition Leader Raila Odinga Withdraws Candidacy In Fresh Election Order by argon500(op): 3:28pm On Oct 10, 2017
NASA leader Raila Odinga has formally withdrawn from the fresh presidential election set for later this month. By doing so, Odinga said the IEBC should now cancel the repeat election and conduct fresh nominations. He said on Tuesday, October 10 that his decision was of the conviction that their withdrawal is in the best interest of the country and a win-win for everyone.

Odinga accused the IEBC of acting in bad faith for calling for the October 26 election without addressing the Opposition's irreducible minimums it had presented.

"For over five weeks, the commission has engaged us in a ping pong game well knowing they had no intention to streamline the electoral system to accord with the constitution and electoral laws. "It is now clear that the same criminal enterprise that perpetuated the fraud in the August election is firmly in charge of the Commission and setting up even more lethal mechanisms to defraud the Kenyan voter, he said.

On Jubilee Party, Odinga said it had embarked on ill-conceived amendments to election laws that are not only unconstitutional but go against international best practice that in the middle of an elections contest. President Uhuru Kenyatta is on record having said that he will not hesitate in signing into law the new changes being pushed in Parliament. Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka said accused the IEBC and Jubilee of working together to commit the illegalities and irregularities that were found to have been committed in the August 8 election.

"It is now evident that jubilee is firmly in charge of IEBC through four commissioners who have set out to implement the jubilee agenda within the commission," said Odinga.

SportsHas A Referee Ever Been Sent Off? by argon500(op): 2:36pm On Oct 07, 2017
At least two have, Paul, and on both occasions they showed themselves the red card. First up is Andy Wain, who was officiating a Sunday League game between Peterborough North End and Royal Mail AYL in 2005 when he lost his rag after hearing one too many complaints from the players. When North End's keeper Richard McGaffin began protesting that his team had been denied a free-kick in the build-up to a goal, Wain threw off his whistle, rushed over and eyeballed the keeper. In the end no blows were exchanged, but Wain sent himself off and the game had to be abandoned because there was nobody else available to fill in.

"With hindsight I should never have officiated," said Wain, who acknowledged having had some personal problems in the days before the match in question. "It was totally unprofessional. If a player did that I would send him off, so I had to go. I heard the keeper say 'It's always the bloody same with you, ref - we never get anything'. It was the last straw, but fortunately I came to my senses."

Melvin Sylvester, meanwhile, went one step further, physically attacking a player during a fixture between Southampton Arms and Hurstbourne Tarrant British Legion in the Andover and District Sunday League. "I was sorely provoked," explained Sylvester afterwards. "I punched him several times after he had pushed me from behind. He then swore. I couldn't take any more. I blew my top."

This time the the game was able to continue, as a spectator took charge of the remainder of the game, but the story didn't end there for Sylvester. He was subsequently fined £20 and banned for six weeks by the Hampshire Football Association. "I'm furious," he added after the verdict. "The disciplinary committee have got their priorities all wrong. They've convicted me of assault but the circumstances have not been shown. They've taken the side of the player."

PoliticsHow People Twist The Facts To Support Their Beliefs by argon500(op): 6:57am On Oct 07, 2017
Do you believe that most people are rational?
Do you think that people judge things correctly?
Do you believe that large groups of people who agree on a certain matter should be followed?

If you have any of these beliefs then you need to redo your calculations because when it comes to twisting facts most people are deception masters.

During any sensitive political situation you will find parties that agree with the government and parties that don't agree. This kind of disagreement is usually healthy because it sometimes leads to a better outcome.

However, if you examined the reasons that motivated most people to stick to a certain opinion you might find that the majority of them don't have a single logical reason.

People will usually decide which side they will take first then alter their perception to further prove to themselves that they took the right decision.

This is also the same reason why people judge others incorrectly.

Humans receive information through their different senses but because each person processes the information in his own way people come up with different opinions.

Here is what most people do to the information they collect:

1) Discarding chunks of data: If you don't like a person then if this person did a good thing then there is a very big possibility that you will forget about his good deeds and only remember the bad things just to prove to yourself that you were right when you hated him .

2) Focusing on irrelevant data: The main reason i wrote this article is that a friend of mind who disagreed with a politician kept posting pictures that made fun of the man's looks claiming that a politician should look differently. My friend focused on the politician's looks, which is a totally irrelevant point, just because he disagrees with him. When a person dislikes another he will try to find out anything bad about him even if it was irrelevant just to prove that he has the right to dislike him.

3) Assigning a higher weight to one element: When a person you dislike does anything bad then most probably you will focus on that action and make it seem like a catastrophe. The ironic thing humans do is that when the same action is done by a person they like they do regard it as a trivial matter. In brief people find excuses for the ones they like while doing their best to accuse the ones they hate of being guilty.

How you can use such information to improve your life?

Remember the last time someone rejected you?
Remember the last time you got hurt because someone criticized you?
Do you remember the last time you gave up because so many people opposed you?

In all cases the reason you felt bad was that you assumed that most people are rational while this isn't true.

Most People twist facts and alter their perception just to support their already existing beliefs.

attractive people get better treatment than non attractive ones just because people were taught that good looking ones are kind while bad looking ones are evil.

People are anything but rational even the most educated ones. This act of twisting of facts has nothing to do with education or age. No matter how educated a person is he can still fall prey to these incorrect thinking patterns if he lacked proper self understanding.

The takeaway is: don't feel bad when someone judges you because most people are far from being rational.

People who don't understand how others perceive physical attraction usually develop the imagined ugliness disorder.

CrimeStephen Paddock Named As Las Vegas Gunman Suspect, 50+ Killed And More Than 400 by argon500(op): 4:02pm On Oct 02, 2017
Police have named Stephen Paddock as the suspected gunman who killed at least 50 people and hospitalised more than 400 others at a Las Vegas concert.
The 64-year-old, of Mesquite, Nevada, sprayed bullets at music-lovers as a gig by country singer Jason Aldean was ending on Sunday night, said officers.
The suspect opened fire from a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.
Paddock killed himself at the scene as officers closed in.

It is the deadliest shooting in modern US history, with the death toll surpassing the 49 killed at a nightclub in Orlando, Florida, in June 2016.

Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said investigators found "in excess of 10 rifles" in the hotel room that Paddock checked into on 28 September.
He said the suspect turned a gun on himself as police approached the suite.
"We have no idea what his belief system was," Sheriff Lombardo added.
The sheriff was asked if there was any evidence the attack was related to terrorism.
"No, not at this point," he replied.

So-called Islamic State later claimed to be behind the attack, saying that Paddock had converted to Islam some months ago.
But the group provided no evidence for this and has made unsubstantiated claims in the past.
Senior US officials discounted the group's statement.
Audio recorded at the concert indicates Paddock may have used an automatic rifle in the attack on the crowd of 22,000 people.

He had no prior "derogatory" interactions with police, said Sheriff Lombardo, except for one citation several years ago which the sheriff declined to specify.
Las Vegas police said Paddock's only previous known brush with the law was a routine traffic violation.
Investigators have searched his two-bedroom home, which is part of a retirement community about one hour from Las Vegas.
Quinn Averett of Mesquite Police said it was a "nice, clean home, nothing out of the ordinary".
He added he believed there were some weapons and ammunition found inside.

Authorities earlier appealed for help in locating Paddock's roommate, Marilou Danley.
But investigators later said she had been interviewed, and was "no longer being sought out as a person of interest".
Ms Danley, 62, was not with him when he checked into the Mandalay, officers said.
Investigators said she had been traced outside of the US.
They said Paddock "was utilising some of her identification".

Eric Paddock, the suspect's brother, described her as the gunman's "girlfriend".
"It's like an asteroid just fell on top of our family," he told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
"There is no reason we can imagine why Stephen would do something like this," he continued.
He told reporters his brother was "not an avid gun guy at all".
"The fact that he had those kind of weapons is just… where the hell did he get automatic weapons?

"He has no military background or anything like that.
"He's a guy that lived in a house in Mesquite, drove down and gambled in Las Vegas. He did stuff, eat burritos."
In 2012, Paddock filed a negligence lawsuit against The Cosmopolitan resort in Las Vegas, after a fall caused by an "obstruction" on the floor, according to his brother.
The lawsuit was dropped by both parties in 2014.
Paddock had a licence to fly small planes, and owned two aircrafts, NBC reported.

Romance18 Reasons Not To Send Unclad Photos, No Matter How Much He Asks by argon500(op): 2:37pm On Sep 30, 2017
Sending naked selfies might be a thing right now, but it’s not necessarily something most of us are comfortable with. And besides, just because he asks doesn’t mean you need to oblige. If he asked if he could start sleeping with other women, would you be okay with that, too? Doubtful. Here are 18 reasons you should keep your private parts private.

1. YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR FUTURE.
If you dream of becoming the next Hilary,Okonjo Iweala, Merkel Angela, Jennifer Aniston, or CEO of a major company, don’t go jeopardizing your future for some guy. Now, if you want to be the next Kim Kardashian, go right ahead.

2. IT’S ABOUT RESPECT.
Because you have it for yourself, and he’d better have it for you, too. If he does, he won’t ask, and if he doesn’t, he doesn’t deserve them.

3. CHANCES ARE, YOU WILL BREAK UP
. Sorry to be Debbie Downer here, but almost half of all marriages end in divorce, and you aren’t even married yet. Do you really want your ex having cart blanche over your nudes?

4. YOU’RE WORTH THE WAIT
. And anticipation is sexy. If he really wants you, he can wait to see the real thing in person.

5. ONE IS NEVER ENOUGH.
So you caved and sent him what he’d been begging for for weeks. Sorry, girlfriend, but it’s not gonna stop there. Now he’s going to want to see you from every angle imaginable, in different lighting, with different filters. Enjoy the neverending disaster you just created.

6. HIDING YOUR FACE DOESN’T MAKE YOU ANONYMOUS.
Hate to break it to you, girls, but just because you strategically hide your face doesn’t mean no one will be able to recognize it’s you. Nice try.

7. YOU DON’T WANT TO.
You’re only doing it for him, and that’s the wrong reason to do anything. If you have to think twice about something you probably shouldn’t be doing it.

8. BECAUSE YOU PROBABLY AREN’T THE ONLY ONE HE’S ASKING FOR THEM.
It’s like the late night booty call when he texts 5 girls hoping at least one will respond. Don’t be that girl.

9. THEY CAN’T BE UNSEEN.
Just like a tattoo, you can try to cover it up, but it never really goes away.

10. HE SHOWED HIS FRIENDS.
Because obviously you look too good for him not to brag to his friends about, but seriously, ew.

11. HE LOSES HIS PHONE.
Like all the time. The cab driver from last night didn’t just find his phone, he found something else, as well.

12. IF YOU DON’T GET AN IMMEDIATE RESPONSE, YOU’LL FREAK OUT.
And start assuming crazy things, like that you need a labiaplasty, instead of realizing that after all the time you spent trying to get the perfect shot, he fell asleep.

13. IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO PHOTOSHOP ON AN IPHONE.
And why send out anything less than perfection?

14. EVEN SNAPCHAT CAN’T BE TRUSTED.
Nothing is safe. You thought you could Snapchat safely, but guess what – there’s an app you can use to save them now.

15. THE INTERNET IS A DANGEROUS PLACE.
You could be going viral right now and not even know it. You think all those girls posted pictures of themselves? Okay, maybe some…

16. YOU COULD ACCIDENTALLY SEND TO THE WRONG PERSON.
Like a friend with the same name, your grandma, or God forbid, your boss.

17. PEOPLE LOOK THROUGH YOUR PHONE.
Because your douchebag friends can never just look at the one picture you’re trying to show them. STOP SCROLLING!! And let’s not even discuss the sales clerk at the cell phone store who just transferred your 1000 + “selfies” to your new device.

18. YOU’RE EXPLOITING YOURSELF.
End of story. If that’s something you enjoy and feel empowered by, by all means go for it and enjoy it. If you aren’t, listen to your instinct. You’re worth more than your naked body.

A lot Nigerians lack cultural intelligence.
Most of the things we believed are normal are actually abnormal in a sane society
PoliticsWhy Some People Post Hateful Comments Online by argon500(op): 7:59am On Sep 30, 2017
If a person made a video that makes fun of women then we should expect to see some hateful comments from women. After all that person offended women greatly by their post and as a result getting some negative comments is a natural consequence.

But I am pretty sure you know that on the internet things don't work that way. People get negative and hateful comments no matter what they do or post.

So the important question now is, why would someone who offended no one get hateful comments?
The short answer is that person offended those hateful ones without realizing.

That person didn't get hateful comments because they did something wrong but it's because those people have serious psychological issues that so many things offend them.

In this article I am going to explain to you why the internet is full of haters and why those people are full of hate.

Some people blame the hate problem on the Internet's anonymity but that's not correct. Yes of course anonymity encourages people to do bad things but only a hateful person would post a hateful comment if they were given the chance to go away with it.

A sane person won't post a hateful comment unless they have been very offended by something and so anonymity is not the real problem.

So what's the real problem?

1) Those people hate themselves: When a person hates themselves or their lives they become overly negative and critical of everything. As the perception of this person changes they become more likely to get offended by normal things that don't offend normal people.

2) They feel worthless: There are two ways for a person to feel confident, the brave way and the cowardly way. The first is all about raising one's confidence while the second is all about putting others down. When some people feel worthless they just try to feel better by putting others down.

3) They feel jealous: Some people feel very jealous when they see anybody doing anything useful. Because those people believe that they are losers and that they can't succeed they get very offended by those who are trying to achieve success.

4) They try to be who they are not: Many of those aggressive online haters are rabbits in real life. Many of those people lack courage and self esteem and they don't really dare to say one comment to a person face on to face. On the internet those people try to act strong, confident and in control and so they use aggression to project this fake image and to become who they are not.

5) They are miserable: When sane people become sad they try to become happy but when mentally unstable people feel bad they project their hate and anger on others. Many of those haters are living horrible lives and they are just trying to make themselves feel a little better by dumping some of their negative emotions online.

Should you feel bad when you get such hateful comments?
In fact you should feel sorry for those people.

If those people made you feel a little bad you should realize that they are feeling way worse.
Those people don't deserve the return of hate but they just deserve your pity.

And I am sure that this is enough to make you feel good.
