This is the true nature of Nigeria economy |
I have never had the experience before but i hear a lot of stories. It may be I know one things for sure in this life, Not all the questions have the right answers |
Before you attack me, I had visited more than 6-7 Mountain of Fire churches outside Nigeria. Starting from the pastor, to the usher and the members. Majority of them are guy(illegal deal) men/women. Infact, they don't hide it as so many transactions are even going on inside the church ( Mostly drug). This keeps me wondering, why wasting their time to go to church. A very close friend of mine can't do without going to church on Sundays yet he smokes, he drinks, he womanizes and to rap it up, he is a guy man. Who are they really deceiving? God or themselves? |

It was my first day at school. I felt nervous and scared. I went to all my classes with no friends. It felt like no one cared. I listened anxiously to all the lessons and waited for lunchbreak at one. Then finally the bell rang. It was time to talk and have fun. In the lunchline I met a new friend who wore a hijab on her head, and though I am Jewish, we got along fine, and I was so relieved when she said, “Sit with us, at our table.” She pointed to the one next to the door. So I agreed, and took my tray and was about to walk with her across the floor, when suddenly I felt a nudge. “Hey, I saw you on the bus,” said a tall girl in a long skirt. “I see your Jewish star necklace. You should sit with us.” At that moment I looked around, and that’s when I noticed, to my surprise, The nations of the world, isolating themselves. That’s what I saw through my own eyes. The Spanish only sat with Spanish, the Hindus only with Hindus, The Russians always with the Russians, and never the Arabs with the Jews. I saw the reason why war gets started. Everyone sticks to their own kind. The lunchroom was a map of the world. Why was everyone so blind? And so I turned down this girl, and went with the first, and there was no enmity. I built a bridge between two worlds when I sat with those different from me. Hope you will do the same. Source: www.facebook.com/forum9ja |

Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, has come up with unbelievable prophecies for Nigeria in 2016. He gave the prophecies during a press briefing in Lagos on Sunday, December 13, 2015. Fayose had lambasted the Senate for the controversial ‘Bill for an Act to Prohibit Frivolous Petitions and Other Matters’ otherwise known as the anti-social media bill. Fayose said the bill was part of a plot by the All Progressives Congress to hide corruption and prevent Nigerians from exposing them. He also said the intention of the Senate to gag the social media is one of the wishes of the President Buhari. He however went further to say that: “We are going to release a lot of things. They have attempted to cow everybody and that is why they are sponsoring the anti-social media bill in the National Assembly. They want to cow the press and the people. I am surprised that the media is quiet about this bill. The press can’t talk again, they are afraid and it shouldn’t be so. “Most of those who supported Buhari one way or the other will regret it because when you promote a lion and don’t remember to guard the claws and the jaws of that lion, one day, you will end up in its stomach,” he warned. The governor predicted 15 things that would happen in Nigeria in 2016. He said: 1. Corruption under Buhari will be on the increase, poverty in the nation will be at its highest in history. He said: ‘I want to tell you that power generation will be at its lowest ebb in 2016. Our earnings will be low. I can’t remember some (predictions) but I will address another press conference to tell Nigerians what to expect. We cannot continue with this deceit and propaganda.’ 2. Power generation would drop while 6.7 million Nigerians would lose their jobs. 3. Chibok girls would not return in 2016. 4. There will be removal of oil subsidy within the first-quarter of next year. 5. There will be so much disobedience to court orders. 6. “In 2016, our girls will never come back because the BBOG people has started enjoying the booty. Why will an armed robber be fighting a pickpocket?” The governor ended by condemning the federal government’s probe of a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. He urged the President to “make public, the monies spent by the Office of the National Security Adviser in the last 16 years.” Fayose never gets tired of attacking President Buhari. Recently, he urged the president to resign if he cannot solve the economic hardship in the country. Before that, he had accused Buhari of being selective in the fight against corruption, saying he should be bold enough to probe Obasanjo’s administration and others so that his anti-graft war can be total. Israeljones:I tire for them ooo.. By 2019, if Buhari hasn't convinced Nigerians enough, na to vote him out same way Jonathan was voted out.. |
I love that.. Seriously, i don't know why we Nigerians are complaining bitterly.Did our problem just started today?. 2019 is around the corner, I am very sure Nigerians would do the same thing come 2019. It is either we retain this present government or vote them out. Though Bubu may be slow but I think he is getting it right.. That doesn't justify the suffering in the land but I believe with time, things suppose to change for good. |
DjAndroid:You guys should get to know one thing, no matter how bad/poor Nigeria economy is, we are still far better than so many countries.. Government are supposed to provide enabling environment, yes, accepted but they have failed us, not today, not yesterday, not last year or last decade.. My question still remain, what effort are the citizens making in turning things around for good? |
HungerBAD:I concur |
I think Nigerians are too reliant on the government to solve their problems.. Fine, we all know the economy is bad at the moment, but what steps are the individual making to turn things around?.. Must people wait for government for everything, i mean everything? We (the citizens and common man) are the main cause why Nigeria over the years of Independence till date keeps getting worse. We play sentiments in anything and everything we do. In choosing a Leader, awarding contract and even correctly our corrupt politicians. Must we wait for things to deteriorate before taking action? Must disaster happen before we realize there are pending reports on that same issue we refused or forgot to tackle before this present disaster? Please do not derail the thread |
soberdrunk:bros, na eagle eye you get oo..The Denim looks great on the guy.. |
That wasn't a bad match.. I was surprised when one of the online beting site gave Nigeria 4.10 win. Afterall, we have nothing to loose They should focus on the quarterfinals.. I still believe in these guys. |
They worry much about politicians who do not know they exist They spend more time defending their heroes, than the time they spend thinking about their lifes They are always right If you are against their opinion, be expecting insults Damn! you people should try and get a life.. I mean real life
