Yes, u are among the few that made it to d interview stage. Just do as u were asked. The interview will come up soon. As per d date, no information about that.

Case Closed! I just spoke with a lady in phillipsconsulting office in Abj and she said the sms was a general reminder to anybody that has responded to the earlier mail that I should not bother responding to it.

No! The sms sent was a response to the return mail on the 15th informing you of your shortlisting for consideration by NNPC of you you need to respond to by mail by 17th.
I want to send them mail that I am yet to receive the said mail.

On d contrary, I didn't even open my email talk less of responding to any email before 15th. But I received an SMS dis morning and that was when I noticed dat I had received an email. So I think the SMS dis morning was sent generally to everyone whether u responded to the email before 15th or not. I still maintain dat it was an extension of the deadline to 17th

Which mail are u guys expecting again.? The response was supposed to end on 15th by 4pm. But they decided to extend it to 17th. That's y they sent an SMS that gave d deadline of submission as 17.,.my analogy though

Update on Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering GA TEST
A colleague that we wrote the test together that waited for the outcome of the result that very day. We exchange numbers and I called him in the evening of that same day to ask for the outcome of the result. He told me that 10 people were shortlisted 6 for Mechanical and 4 for Mechatronic OR IME - Industrial and Maintenance Engineering.
That the result was forwarded to VC same day for perusal and consideration for Interview .
Someone should pls confirm the validity of that saying.
And if anyone has any valid info as per shortlisting and interview should pls share.

Answers to ur questions:
1. Yes, the shortlisting was done and concluded dat same day. 12 were shortlisted not 10.,6 in mechanical and 6 in mechatronics engg.
2. Mechatronics is not a combination of industrial and maintenance engg pls. It's a multidisciplinary branch of engg dat comprises of mechanical,electronics and information technology.
3. Yes. The list was sent to admin dept dat same day and admin is expected to use their discretion to call for interviews anytime soon.

I don't have any info as regards sciences. I only know of engineering. If u have any link in oye campus, u may verify. But I doubt if any test has been done for geologists

If u are sure u have the required qualifications as stated in d advert, come with ur cv. U should write d test.

Why did they shortlist 142 candidates at first? Why did they invite them when they knew their rules would be stricter than stipulated in the application? So they caused the remaining candidates to go back home just like that, with wasted T-fare and effort? Daris God oooooo....

U didn't comprehend his post before posting this. 142 candidates were not invited and no one was sent home except those who came after d test was concluded cos marking commenced immediately.only 53 wrote d test and even in dis number we had gate crashers. Their CVs were crossed checked and if found qualified, were allowed to write d test. The 'Strict ' screening dat was done was done after the applications were compiled not on d test day

Its clearly in batches, as d need arises. Sooner or later other depts will call their candidates. Ok?

Yes, u will be needed cos the department is made up of mechanical and mechatronics. Ur degree or hnd in electrical will qualify u for mechatronics. Put in ur best

No AL is required in engineering. Any body with masters in engineering and registered with COREN automatically qualifies for L2.hope dat helps

Thanks. To the best of my knowledge, ALs may be called for interviews directly. U may not be invited for tests. Keep ur fingers crossed. Probably before d end of this year, u may be called. Ciao
