Didn't have a honeymoon. Got married when I was 6 months preggers, had my first barely a month later. 6 months after that, I was pregnant again! Na so so belle I just dey carry. Hopefully we should go somewhere special soon, if hubby can tear himself away from work. |
I don't know if white Americans are truly ready for a black man in the White House. This romance with Obama just may not last. When it comes down to the crunch, electing a PRESIDENT, I believe a lot of Obama's white supporters may not have the courage to vote him into the White House. I see a lot of them voting for McCain or even abstaining. After Hilary's been gotten rid of, the "do-gooders" may just turn coat. I wish he could win. But win or lose, history will definitely remember him. |
Hi all. Good topic. I'm trying to burn the fat around my middle from having babies. Please can someone give me a proper and healthy menu for all meals? I'm currently lacking in will power and go all day without eating until mid afternoon, only to pig out late at night!! Also any good excercises you know - like crunches - to lift and tighten my bum, stomach and thighs? Oh, for those good old skinny minny days. I can't believe in my twenties - and early thirties- I used to eat all kinds of junk to put on some weight!!! My Mum was right. I should have left well enough alone! |
Yvskc, you sound like you have a good head on your shoulder. Challenges will come, as in any every marriage. But that attitude will stand you in good stead. Good luck and best wishes. |
His sexy legs, long and shapely but masculine and very slightly bow Our kids have his legs, thank God! He is extremely generous, not just to me but to everyone. I like the way he treats his friends - he is loyal and caring. He makes love to me, so tender and gentle sometimes, it brings tears to my eyes. Other times he just holds me down and gives it to me hard!! LOL!! He respects and adores me and sings my praises to anyone who cares to listen. We started out together with very little and together we've made a lovely home. That makes us so much closer. He is extremely handsome with a sexy walk and looks so hot in jeans. I'd do anything for him and I know he'll always be there for me. I married late (35) but I'm glad I waited because I got the best guy in the world. |
Please dont add water to the soup. It is meant to be thick. When the meat is properly steamed with only just a bit of juice left, then add the water leave. It will give you the water you need in the soup. Add all the ingredients including the palm oil and let it cook well. The last thing that should go in the pot is the ikong (the pumpkin leaves). The leaves have to be prepared first: After chopping up, squeeze the water out of the leaves by rubbing and "washin" as you do when cleaning bitterleave. When the leaves have been drained of most of the water (and nutrients!!!LOL) add to the pot. Stir and leave for 2-3 mins and remove from fire. If you leave any longer the ikong will "die" in the soup (as we say in local parlance). The vegetables have to be fresh and still crunchy!!!! |
Ideally, one would strike a balance between the 2 but there will come a time where one has to give for the other. Then what? For me its really very simple. It is not enough to say I am taking care of my children, I am making sure they are fed and bathed and clothed. The question is what quality of childcare does one want for the kids. We hear so many heart breaking stories of what nannies do to children when they are unsupervised. How about my husband? I have to make time for him as well. I worked in a service company for 10 years. I was proud of my achivements and I had set a standard for myself. Being single I was always available to work crazy hours, including holidays, sundays, whatever. I was totally driven. Then I met my husband, got pregnant and got married (usually the other way round, I know ). I had 2 children in less than 2 years! To say it was a struggle is an understatement. But I was determined to do both and to be the best at both. But my work suffered because I wanted to be a hands-on mum. Taking care of 2 rambunctious toddlers is no mean feat. My health suffered but I clung on. The first year of marriage was truly terrifying. No nanny, a growing pre-tem baby, loads of bottles to wash(i was expressing milk), a long schedule of doctors visits and immunisations, a demanding boss breathing down my neck. I went to work bleary-eyed every morning, looking like a hag. Luckily I could take my baby to the office. My poor hubby was neglected, as you can imagine, no sex. Perish the thought!!! With which power When my second baby was one I finally quit. And I have not regretted a second. My mum always told me that a woman MUST be financially independent. Whether she is a banker or a garri seller. So I started a company with a friend, offering research services and consulting. I work from home and have field workers outside. I make more money than my company paid me. I now have a fantastic nanny but I can supervise her. My kids are happy and so is hubby. And so am I. I look great, my home is well cared for and sex is fab!!! LOL. My point here is that at some point you will be forced to choose and family should always come first. But a woman should never be idle nor dependent on her man. And if means me putting a table outside my house and selling tomatoes so I can have my own money and still be available to take good care of my home and family, then that is what I will do. |
