The fears expressed by some investors that any ponzi scheme like company may be another scam waiting to happen, may have been confirmed following the arrest of the Chief Executive Officer, Possibility Specialist Global Resources, Egona Abraham, popularly known as Father Abraham, for allegedly swindling a woman, Eneanza Amala, to the tune of N39m under the scheme.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Police operatives at State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) have arrested Father Abraham, alongside his personal assistant, Violet Buzuabe, for fraud.

The duo reportedly conspired and obtained the money from the victim under the false pretence of investing in the company with an undisclosed profit accurring to her.

However, it turned out to be a scam at the end of the day, after she waited to have returns on her invested money to no avail.

She then requested for the intitial money so that she can move on with her life and at that point, they started dribbling her and failed to give her the money.

The matter was reported to the Police, who investigated Father Abraham and his assistant, Violet and found them culpable for the alleged fraud.

They were subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conspiracy, obtaining under false pretence and stealing.

The Police alleged that Father Abraham had obtained the money through his two bank accounts at GTBANK and Union Bank and defrauded the victim, an offence which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.

They pleaded not guilty.w

The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that the defendants actually committed the alleged offence since they pleaded not guilty before Court.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka, granted them bail in the sum of N5m each with two sureties in like sum. The Court ordered that the sureties must show evidence of means of livelihood and proof of payment of taxes.

They were remanded in custody pending when they will perfect their bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till 20th December, 2021, for mention.

When the management of the popular hotel known as Aso Rock Suites in Lagos employed three workers, Gideon Bassey, 21, Chidi Okonkwo, 21 and Alabi Olumide, 26, they never knew they had engaged suspected criminals in the hospitality outfit.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the trio reportedly ganged up and swindled the owner to the tune of N3.5m before they were eventually caught and arrested by the Police at Ikotun Division.

The incident happened at Abaranje Road, Ikotun area of Lagos State, where the hotel is located.
According to Police source the workers allegedly conspired and stole assorted drinks kept in the hotel for sale to customers such as Hennessy VSOP, Jameson, energy drinks and others worth the amount, sold and shared the money among themselves.

The Operatives of the Intelligence Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested eight notorious high-profile kidnapping suspects.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that they were arrested following Police investigations into the abduction and eventual murder of Pa Dariye Dafwan, the late father of former Governor of Plateau State, in Horop community, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.


Pa Dariye was abducted on 17th June, 2020 and shot dead eight days after the criminals collected a ransom of ten million Naira from the family of the deceased. The arrest of the suspects follows unrelenting efforts by the Police to ensure perpetrators of the dastardly act are arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.

The breakthrough, which led to the arrest of the suspects, began with the arrest of one Twenty-three year old Abubakar Mohammed a.k.a Buba, a native of Gada Biyu in Daffo District, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. Buba is one of the principal suspects in the kidnap operation. The confession of the suspect revealed how they abducted and murdered the nonagenarian, assisted the Police team in apprehending seven other members of the gang which were as follows:- Ya’u Saidu aka Ya’u Kaban m’ 40yrs, from Kaban Village, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, Titus Ezekiel 34yrs from from Horop, Bokkos LGA, Dauda Isah ‘m’ 30yrs, from Horop, Sunday Ibrahim m’ 35yrs, Mushere tribe from Horop, Mangut Shumwar ‘m’ 30yrs, from Horop, Henry Amos ‘m’ 35yrs native of Horop, and Jethro Ngusen ‘m’ 57yrs, native of Horop.

Investigations further revealed that it was Jethro Ngusen, the mastermind and convener of the gang, that instructed one of the gang members, Mangut Shumwar to kill Pa Dariye because he feared that Pa Dariye might recognize the suspects since majority of them were from the same village with the deceased. Jethro was also identified as the one who took custody of the ransom and later shared the proceeds of the crime amongst the gang members.

A 23-year old cashier working with a popular supermarket in Okota area of Lagos, Miss Chioma Ezeiru, was caught after she allegedly hid some money from sales in her private parts and she was captured by CCTV.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Temple Hill Supermarket located at Oludegun Street in Okota area of Lagos.

According to Police sources, the audit by the supermarket showed money was always missing after sales and the management decided to investigate. The management reviewed their CCTV and it was discovered the sales lady, Chioma, has been hiding the money in her private parts.

The management then invited her, she watched herself stealing and hiding some of the money inside her private parts. She reportedly admitted and said she only stole N290, 000.

However, the management handed her over to the Police at Okota Division for prosecution.After interrogation and having been found culpable, she was subsequently charged before the Isolo Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

She pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr. Oje Uagbale, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove she actually command the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Akokhia, granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She was however, remanded in custody pending when she will perfect her bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till 23rd August, 2021, for mention.

The Lagos State Police boss, CP Hakeem Odumosu has vowed to tackle domestic violence in the state to a standstill as the Command has arrested a man, David Idibie, of Joado Street, Oke Ira Nla, Ajah Area of Lagos State, for the murder of his wife, a 42-year old, Juliana Idibie, of same address.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 16th February, 2021 at about 10pm.

According to the report by the Lagos Police Spokesperson, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, it was gathered that the deceased had engaged the husband in a hot argument on certain matrimonial issues and in the process, she slumped and sustained severe head injury. While lying in her pool of blood, the angry husband refused to rescue her until she gave up the ghost.

A 37-year-old headmistress, Christiana Ayeni, has landed in trouble while enforcing discipline by reportedly checking the private parts of four female students inside the school over virginity.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the headmistress was arrested, arraigned in Court and was remanded in Ilesa Correctional Centre for unlawfully and indecently assaulting the students.

The incident happened at San Francesco Catholic College, Ejigbo, Osun State, where the victims were as boarding school students.

The Police alleged that the headmistress, Mrs. Ayeni, unlawfully and indecently assaulted a set of students namely, Mariam Ismael (18), Martha Alfa (15), Adefehintoluwa Ademuleyo (15) and Raphael Olamide (14), by touching their private parts within the hostel vicinity at the college.

Police Prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun, said the alleged offence contravened Section 360 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol. II, Laws of Osun State, 2002.

She pleaded not guilty.
