When Mrs. Christiana Okoye left her first husband in Ajegunle with her five children and got married to another man in Isheri Olofin both in Lagos State, she never envisaged what is presently happening to her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that one of her children, Tochukwu Emmanuel, later discovered that the man they had lived with and called their father, was not their biological father as their real father was said to be living in squalor in Ajegunle.

Since then, Emmanuel was said to have become angry, which made him to drop from Secondary School and had been tormenting his mother, Mrs. Christiana threatening to kill her.

According to the residents, on two different occasions, Emmanuel had tried to attack his mother and pour acid on her but he has not been so lucky because their neighbours had always intervened and prevented him from doing so.

He was said to have been arrested, charged before the Court and remanded in prison custody but was later released from custody.

But that did not deter him from attempting to carry out his mission to eliminate his mother.

Recently, he went to his mother’s house at Godswill Street, Isheri Olofin in Idimu area of Lagos, broke the iron gate and forced himself inside in order to pour acid on his mother but the barking of the dog alerted the neighbours and he was prevented from entering the apartment.

A 22-year old suspected Internet fraudster, Daramola Emmanuel, who allegedly specialized in using fake bank alerts to buy items, has been arrested after he was caught in a popular hotel in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Emmanuel, was arrested at the popular Prince Palace Hotel, located at Apex Avenue, Kola/Alasco Road, Alasco area of Lagos, where he bought some items and used bank transfer to pay to the hotel’s account and it got exposed.

He was said to have bought some items worth N15,000 and told the attendant that he had no cash on him and wanted to use bank transfer to pay the bill.

The owner of the hotel, Prince Owolabi Matanmi, provided the company’s account number and he actually did the transfer and the owner received alert of the payment.

However, he was unlucky as the owner of the hotel, Matanmi, knows the real alert from the fake and he identified the fake bank alert and told him that it was fake.

When he realized that he had been caught in the game, he threatened to bring thugs to attack the hotel and attempted to escape. But he was held back and in the process, he attacked the owner of the hotel and damaged his wrist watch.

He was then handed over to the Police at Area P Command.

After thorough interrogation, he was found culpable and subsequently charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for obtaining credit with fake bank alert.

When he was arraigned, he pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Benedict Aighokhan, asked the Court to give a short adjournment for facts and sentence since he pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. E O.Ogunkanmi, ordered his remand in custody and adjourned the matter till 9th February, 2022, for fact and sentence.

Operatives from the Anambra State Police Command have arrested a man, Mr. Ikenna Asiegbu, alleged to be responsible for the death of a 22-year old, Miss Chidimma Christopher, on 3rd February, 2022.

P.M.EXPRESS reported that the suspect, Ikenna, allegedly beat the victim to death in his house at Urutolu Village, Mgbakwu in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State around 11am on the fateful day.

According to one of their neighbours, Mrs. Ngozi Nwude, she said the victim gave birth to a baby about six months ago.

“The lady had been living with the suspect, Ikenna, for some months now, even though the bride price was not paid. She was from Enugwu Agidi, in Njikoka LGA of the state, but her mother is from Mgbakwu.”

“The man was in the habit of beating her for reasons we don’t know, even though he had been cautioned on many occasions, now see the result” Mrs. Nwude said.

A new born baby delivered at an herbal home by a nursing mother, Ajimoh Bola, disappeared and was later found in custody of the owner of the home and another woman in Lagos State.

The owner of the home, Mrs. Ifadodiyomi Bolanle, 59 and a 61-year old Lawal Abisola has been arrested over the disappearance of the baby girl from the home.

The incident happened at Bolanle Ifadodiyomi Herbal Home located at Onilude Street, Atobaje area of Agege, Lagos.

According to Police sources, the suspects allegedly conspired and took the baby to an unknown place without informing the mother, Bola.

However, when the nursing mother did not see her baby, she raised an alarm and reported to the Police. The suspects were then arrested and detained at the station for interrogation.

At the Elere Police Division, where they were detained for interrogation, they reportedly confessed that they took the baby from the mother and took her for treatment in another hospital for treatment for an undisclosed deformity.
