Not in that sense. You are better positioned to nurture your blood. No one more than you can tell you the truth about yourself. That's why people don't relate to their biological children with suspicion the way people with adopted children do.

Adoption has it's numerous good sides. But the negative ones such as giving children to social misfits like homosexuals, the risk of incest where relations marry unknowingly, adopting someone who could kill you, makes me think that having less unwanted babies and kids that a family can take care of, is a better solution.
