we have so many suspected scammers in nairaland, are there no police to monitor this respectable sites? so many people claim to be travel agents or helpers with the intentions to scam fellow nairaland users. I guese some are genuine, but i doubt a lot more are thieves.

@ akolawole, i think you're a kind guy who wants to encourage hopes, but the truth is, the embassy already has his name in its black list, and i can't see them forgiving him for using forged documents. it is sad though, but this is the the case .

@ papabrowne, have you never been abroad before? i doubt never otherwise, you would have known that the Nigerian passport could be even more expensive in nigerian embassies abroad than vicjustice said. nigerian embassies in europe collect an official and legitimate minimum of 510 euro for a single passport. if you have to obtain a national passport and you live in a european, american or asian country, you'd either pay that much money or you have to go to nigeria and obtain a passport for N10.000. remember, proxy passport is an offence.

i know a lot of people, especially benin laides who put their trusts in black magic charms, the rely of voodoo priests as an immigrant would rely on immigration lawyers: they even go as far as believing that these charms to put spells on their white sugar-daddy. congrats for the admission! But what kind of admission letter did you receive, i mean, for what level of education is it?
however, i want you to be aware that admission does not guarantee you a visa, so you must realise and acknowledge that this is the time for the real thing that determines whether you get the visa or not.
for you not to be disappointed, these are the basic factors that you need to prove yourself to satisfy the ECO:
   1) The admission letter (preferably giving your accommodation details) with contacts details for correspondence with the school,
   2) Satisfying Bank Statements showing your (or your sponsor's) transaction details for the last six months,
    Note: Though you'd be issued a student working visa, but yet the embassy would want to be satisfied that you're not going to be a problem or resort to the public fund once in the UK.
   3) (in some cases) Evidence of your travel arrangements-you may book a flight ticket without paying the price-
   4) Evidence of social ties and of reference in Nigeria-perhaps your parents or guardians-The embassy needs their consents-
   5) The rest are up to the impression you give during your interview.
