Congratulations on your PPR. For you recognized and appreciated your wife's efforts, God bless your home. Lol this marking scheme you generated seem perfect, nice one. marksi: PPR Alert !!
2nd Time applicant Self sponsored
1st refusal: 16th October 2022 Applied : 26th June 2022
Refusal reason: 1. Financial and asset 2. Inconsistent reason for study
GCMS Notes: Finance: VO was concerned about lump sums in account and if I truly had access to it. Establishment: VO was concerned to know study plan
Reconsideration sent within 10days of refusal - November 10th No change in status. Feedback from Nairobi mail was that application was still under review as at Jan3rd 2023.
Reapplication: 31st January 2023 Medical Updated: 13th February Eligibity : 15th Febrauary PPR: 16th March
What I did differently: *Explained each lump sum deposit in account. *Paid 1 year tuition payment *Sent full documents of my other landed properties (sent via webform but mentioned on SOP) *Pictures of me and my siblings *Revamped SOP in which I stressed the need and importance of the program to my career prospect in Nigeria *consent letter from my spouse, attaching her employment history and MBS of salary account. *Increased prayers (yes....divine intervention)
*I reuploaded my previous medical via webform before it was passed. *Sent weekly webform and mail reminders to nairobi on my application with a subtle request for an early decision from 4th week *Called IRCC to follow up about the status after 6weeks. Observation: I think VOs work with a marking scheme (...these are just my thoughts): Tution Paid: 20% , Home tie: 20%, Purpose of study (SOP): 20%, Financials: 20%, others (like Medical):20%
Once you scale through the pass mark (seem the bar is sentimental) , then you get your PPR!
I must commend my wife who turned out overnight to become an expert researcher and helped to navigate this application to success. To you all here who also contribute to this tread. Your observation, agruments, pointers etc are all helpful. Please keep up the selfless service.
It shall end in praise for us all. |

Thanks for this. Winnerpoks: This might be useful for those applying for form A.
1. Adb reviewer: This is a bank staff that reviews your application. He or she checks what you have inputed against your physical document or if u have incomplete documents. The reviewer can reject your application if there are discrepancies. Adb reviewer is probably the CSO or head of operations of a branch. Not CBN staff. U can send your documents for review by email (if you have email indemnity in plac) or visit the branch physically to submit ur application.
2. Adb supervisor: This is d oga or supervisor of the reviewer. He or she approves the application. This is also the bank staff, probably the CSM. Once approves, the name of the reviewer and the supervisor is displayed on the portal.
3.Adb disbursement reviewer: This is a bank staff that reviews the amount you want to transfer against the bank's fx. Your transaction takes a lot of time here if the bank is short of fx.
4. Adb disbursement supervisor: Approves your transaction.
Note:All DMBs have been allocated fx by CBN. Bank's fx transactions depends on the availability of fx wt them, wch has been allocated by CBN.
Rumour has it that banks can only process $7500 per semester,I don't know how true that is but please bear it in mind. |

I heard the process is stressful in Canada. If you haven't, apply now and then travel with both passport. *Then apply for visa extension with your new passport when you get to Canada. moyin3097: It’s almost impossible for me to get a new one within 30days. My brother’s confirmation of investment $10k Title certificate of house belonging to me and my brother in Canada(with a confirmation saying she can stay in any of the houses) We also attached a 5-year bank statement of the applicant showing consistent deposit from me or my brother for my sister’s upkeep. We also highlighted what our combined income was and stated that her tuition (35k for 2 year course) was about 15% of our total annual income. Client Information we submitted all documents listed below LOE written by my brother (the baddest to ever do it) Passport data page Birth Certificate This application isn’t the most accurate, we did a lot on God’s Grace and Vibes For home ties, we had mentioned the state of the Nigerian educational system and the incessant ASUU strike (my sister is a final year student in one of the federal universities), we also highlighted how she has been on a 3.5-year course for almost 5 years and there’s no end in sight. We also mentioned that she is the caretaker of our late parents’ property, and she has sentimental attachment to it and she will be returning to continue her duties over the property.

Let me mention that I did not include Police character certificate, land documents or other property documents because I do not have any of those things. It is true that 2 applications cannot be the same, sometimes too much of documents even can get Visa Officers confused. The above listed documents were all I submitted. It is good to read people's TL to be encouraged but some TL will get you intimidated and confused. My application was a self- sponsored. And all I submitted as POF was 10.4m
I am a first time applicant and I have never traveled out of Nigeria before. I never enter plane before self despite the fact that I work at the airport until last month that I went for medical and biometric. Travel history is not a criteria.
The total of my tuition for the 1 year is about 20,000 cad + 10,000 cad living expenses+ 3000 cad miscellaneous.
How I addressed POF.
My salary is around 100k. I knew for sure that it is too little to present as monthly earnings. what I did was to use all the 1.7m I had in 2021 to buy Toyota Corolla. I planned running bolt with it for a good 1 year before submitting my application. I explained that I drive my car on bolt platform on part-time basis anytime am off duty. Each month I make sure i make over 100k net profit from bolt. I submitted 12 months MBS to show that I truly make such money from bolt. I collected a loan of 8m from a co-op society, collected 2m from a friend because I knew the 8m won't be enough to show as POF. I wrote in the LOE that this my friend was a long time friend (classmate) which was true. He had sent money to me (vice versa) severally in 2022. I also showed pictures of us together in 3 different occasions (in school,at my engagement and at a function) and also included his international passport. Someone in Canada even advised that I should not include him that nobody gives anyone such money in Canada, that even parents don't give their children money. But I had no other story to cook because the money had already been sent to my account. I also made sure I paid 1m into my spouse account to augment her salary for her and the children's upkeep so the VO will believe that nobody go press my neck for money in Canada. In my LOE, I also mentioned that while I would be away, there is an arrangement on ground to employ a driver that will drive my car on a FULL TIME basis with weekly remittance of #30,000 to my account and to be managed by my spouse. The weekly 30k + my monthly salary+ other annual benefits from my employer resulted to additional 3m+ (about 10k cad)
How I addressed hometie
Apart from the fact that my family (spouse and children) and job are strong home tie. I became a volunteer with Red cross society of Nigeria just for the purpose of ID card and pictures, and I got that. I also collected a letter from my church. You can buy a pet (🐶, 🐱, 🦁, chicken 🐔) and add it to yours as hometie in your application. Include their vetinary cards and other documents.
Please note, keep your application as simple as possible, no allow NL use TL press your neck. Submit your application as early as possible so you can have peace of mind, and plan your departure well. All the experience I have today was gotten from here because I have been following since 2020. I also handled a friend's application last year. Submitted application Aug 16, 2022 and PPr Dec 26, 2022.... In all one cannot rule out the importance of prayers. I read here where people engage in different and lengthy spiritual practices. I also prayed and fasted for just 3 days and God got involved.
Submit your pending applications now......
I pray that God will come through for as much as many applications this year, especially those ones that that overdue/overstayed for a decision.
I'm available to answer questions hear....if you come to my TL for private engagement or documents, na billing ooooo.... Looking for Raba noww |

You're on the right track. eldersir20: Please i need, I am submitting documents using old old portal
In the Pof section, apart from Bank statement, what other documents do i have to attach with it.
Documents that i have to upload,
1. Property/land sale document to explain lump sum 2. Company registration ( CAC) document, business sign board, product pictures, invoice, email with clients, Business instagram page, website 3. Landed property documents, c of o, survey plan and deed. 4. Property Valuation certificate
I know some other document will be in client information, but i want to know which to upload with Bank statement and tuition payment to the pof section.
Also, those that have had more than 3 employment activities in the last 10 years, how did you complete that section, i printed an empty employment section and filled the remaining activities so i can scan and add to my imm1294e but there's no way for me to merge it, so how do i get passed there. |

Nice one Frankrobbn1: Sorry about the demise of your agent. The process of getting your details is quite very simple and straightforward. Do you still have a copy of the biometrics instructions letter the agent gave to you when you went for your biometrics enrolment? If yes, you should see your UCI number and application number on the top right and left sides of the letter. Copy those figures and go straight to create a GC Key account. After the creation of your account, there will be an option for you to "LINK AN EXISTING APPLICATION TO YOUR ACCOUNT". Once you're able to provide the details about yourself and the UCI Number & App No, the application will be successfully linked and taken over by you!
Follow these steps as I have described and thank me later ☺️. Best wishes.
It will end in praise |

May you get your PPR whenever you reapply. Ucy12: Hi Nairalanders! Good News to many who had refusals and want to apply for GCMS notes but are having some issues.
I applied FREE OF CHARGE on the 12th of December 2022 and my notes dropped TODAY, 4th February 2023 ( a month and three weeks). I actually did searches online and got the ATIP-AIPRP online request on the Canadian government website. It has two types of request: Access to Information Act and Privacy Act. Access to Information Act costs $5CAD; but PRIVACY ACT is FREE. Go through Privacy Act and order your GCMS notes for free! This is the link to the website:
https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do
Wishing everyone all the best!
*My next post will be about my refusal and what my GCMS notes say. Please, help in contributing so I can successfully fire back. Thank you all! |

Wow nice one. Legacyedition: Your matter is very simple. Okay?
Here is the 15 minutes process as posted by Olasubomi in 2020.
I am happy to guide you on what to do. Follow the below steps:
1. Click on this link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html, go to option 1 and register as a new user on the "Don't have an account" tab.
2, Create all the Security questions and answer that the system would prompt you.
3, Once you are done creating your account, you would see in blueprint a link reading "Add (link) your application to your account". Please click it.
4, Refer to the screenshot below. You will see different selections to choose from ( the screenshot will guide you) :
* Under Category, select temporary residence * Under Subcategory, select study permit and extension * Under Application details, select family name, given name and date of birth ( Being you might not know your application number and UCI due to the denial by your agent, but if you know these numbers, select application number and UCI) * Under Applicants Personal information, select passport then enter your passport details * Under Information about applicant's study in Canada, enter details as on your admission letter, which was declared in your application and your DLI number. * Once this is entered and you review all details, click search for my application. It will open a new page. * This new page will ask you to fill out a form to disassociate yourself from your agent. Fill this form to the best of your knowledge and attach and continue, then you should have your account linked.
NB: Once you enter all details correctly and it gives you an error message, and you try this twice, please wait for another 24 hours before trying again because the system allows one to try to link only 5 attempts, after which it would lock you out . Please wait for another 24 hours to try again should in case it gives an error when you click "Search for my application"
I hope this helps!
