I like this.

But also, maybe if they realise they could make an insensible massive amount of money from this source, just maybe it could encourage them to make light etc better? Because frankly, I won't deceive myself and think patriotism, "loss of intellectual property", & all those big words matter to Nigerians- only dough matters.

kenny714433:
"Yet the intellectual property, cloud infrastructure, and retained earnings all sit offshore"

So were you expecting them to transfer to you their intellectual property?

So we have cloud storage facility in Nigeria? Do we even have 24/7 electricity to support that?

Were you expecting them to share their hard earned earnings with you?

Apart from supporting corrupt politicians, what else do we know how to do best?

No.
Summary is: how billions of naira is siphoned out of the country, and we can put an immediate stop to it, as other countries like us have done.

Well, that's very sad, because reading things like this especially in this economy, is beneficial to each one of you & concomittantly to making the very economy much better.
Ignoring articles like this, that sentisises you to the economy is sad. And detrimental to the economy & the nation.

#One wise white man once said: "if you want to hide anything from the black man, write it in plain sight."

Beyond sad. ☹️

let me not lie... in this current economy nobody will read that till the end.

FamilyRe: Help, A Shameless And Promiscuous Woman Is Tearing My Family Apart by Arobake: 9:29pm On Oct 20, 2025
Hmmm...this took me back. Way back. Many many many years ago, looks like another lifetime, a family meeting was called "on our head", my husband was told by his family that I was controlling him and they were trying to insult me. My major offence, among others was I didn't allow him marry a second wife.

My husband said, surely they can't blame me? That it's him they should pass all insults to because, it's how I met/found him that I will treat him. I.E insinuating that I met him a dumb person, so Im riding him. Twas his late father's big sister that responded "tufiakwa!", "we didnt raise an idiot!". Reluctant silence all round. End of story.

#TakeHome: 99% of the time, men know what they are doing. They can end the "situation" if they wanted. A lot of time, most of them just leave the woman to the mercy of the families & friends pretending ignorance.

Kobojunkie:
I am sorry, but why are you vindictively attacking the woman when the person who is destroying your family unit is not the woman but your father? huh

Your father chose this woman, allowed her to move herself and her children into your lives. The freedom the woman has in your lives is authorized by your father. So, what are you attacking and demeaning her for when all she does is as allowed by your very own father, whom you seem to think needs to be saved by you when in reality he is the very core of the problem you claim to have with this woman? huh

All right Ooohh, if you think so. The truth about Uk, though, is how one enjoys (or not) this country depends absolutely on the route one came in through.

However, you've fans here in the Uk, who will like to meet you.

May the Lord make wherever you are a land oozing of milk and honey for you in Jesus Name🙏🏽

RomanceRe: Everything You Heard About Dating Abroad As A Nigerian Man Is A Lie. by Arobake: 12:20pm On Aug 12, 2025
Are you still in Chile?

tensazangetsu20:
Honestly, if you’re still in Nigeria and have plans to relocate abroad, especially as a single man, I strongly advise staying single. The rumors you’ve heard about black men not being in demand abroad or not being loved are completely false.

Back in Nigeria, I was ugly. If I got a girl’s number, she would either block me or ignore my messages. My last girlfriend before leaving Nigeria was by sheer luck—I still don’t know how it happened. But when I moved abroad, it felt like I’d transformed into a supermodel. It got to the point where I had to delete my dating apps because I’m focusing on earning certifications to boost my income, and managing conversations with so many women became overwhelming. Even approaching women in real life yields the same results—if I approach 10 women, 8 of them want me as their boyfriend.

I can’t explain it, but if you’re a Nigerian guy and you’re single with plans to move abroad, preserve that status. The quality of women I’ve met in terms of beauty and their achievements is far beyond what I ever imagined getting back in Nigeria.

Now, you are just cancelling yourself out. Weren't you the same person who said everyone, who wanted to leave the country, should head for the UK, Canada, US, Australia and maybe Germany?

Fajimarketplace:
And this leads to the ultimate point, where you go doesn't determine wether you will succeed or not. Success only comes from value creation. People in Lagos or Abuja doing legitimate businesses can even be more wealthy than someone in those first world countries. It's all about value creation, wherever you may find yourself.

And thank you for a beautiful thread. Your storytelling skills are top-notch.

She never danced for Fela bro.. She has refuted this baseless rumour several times in many interviews. How old is she in the 70`s to have been eligible to dance for Fela when she is only 56?

The only link she has to Fela is her dad(Benson Idonije) who happens to be his manager. It is a known fact that 99% of Fela dancers were young girls who found succour in Kalakuta Republic because they had it worse at home.. Most of them had to run away from more deplorable conditions at home.

So how could an educated daughter of a veteran and renowned broadcaster like Ben be dancing for Fela in an era where that kind of craft was strictly reserved for the degenerates of the society?

In this information age of artificial intelligence, a simple Google search would have revealed all the facts to you instead of regurgitating these unfounded beer parlour rumours.. This is 2025 please.. It remains an unforgivable sin if our smartphone is smarter than us.

🤣🤣🤣@ "it's all suffering".
You really think that so many people, including the very rich & the very poor, will continue living in diaspora for more than 20 years if they were really suffering?
And it isnt about shame making people not to return home because E get some kind of suffering that removes shame. It really isn't about plenty of money neither.
Living in diaspora is mostly about systems that work -the infrastructure, government, etc arent based on who you are nor on whom you know.
And most importantly, it's all about peace of mind - whether you are a first class citizen or 10th class citizen, as long as you do not engage in illegalities. Peace of Mind.

PEACE2023:
How many blacks are in those positions there?
Can you use it to compare when you are working in your country federal civil service?
Come to think of it, these guys doing dirty Jobs which majority of immigrants do, don't get promoted they only enjoy minimum wage when it goes up.
The 0.1% that gets good jobs are few.
Just to tip you, I have the ability to take all my family members abroad but I am not interested. There is no life there all na suffering. You can not give your children the best life there because they will abandon you at old people's home.
In Africa we train our children to look after us at old age that is parents children relationship.
Your children that you want to give the Best life can turn to gay, transgender and drug addicts.
If you have a gay, transgender and drug addicts, have you really given your children the best life?
Ask your self the simple question.
I own cars and still expecting a new car from the USA, I own houses and still building more.
I live my life and drink my champagne.
I live a healthy life.
What more should I look after that will reduce me to a second class citizen in abroad?
Going to abroad to clean old people yash and shit just to get dollars is it the life?
I have many white American friends who are disgusted about the useless life there kids live over there and the stupid government policies.
Are you better than Musk who wants a better life for Americans there by planning to move away from California because of the useless and stupid new Californian law on child sex?
Think Africa, think Nigeria.
Just add 40 year's to your current year now and tell me the life you will be living then.
Ifeanyi Uba with his dollar's and pounds is dead in the UK.
Why should you reduce your self to a dishwasher or grass cutter or refuse collector or cleaning shit and changing diapers just to make money that you will abandon when you die?
I am a Nigerian, I am an Igboman, I am a Biafran.
My dignity remains intact.

A good husband, dead or alive is never ever forgotten. Even if/when you remarry.

Hello sir,

Here's just checking up on you and praying that your mom is faring better.

jogojogo:
My younger brother passed on almost a month ago after being admitted for 3 month at UCH Ibadan. The young man was in his twenties who just wrote is last paper in February. He was diagnosed of aplastic anaemia and was under medical attention untill he passed on.

The death came to us with deep sorrow and pain. I have tried to move on even though it's difficult. I still cry every day secretly but my biggest concern right now is how to get my mother to move on. She has remain unconsolable as every morning I could hear her cries as early as 4.00am daily. I had to be with her in her room talking to her.

Soon, I will be travelling and I am worried she may never find any reason to be happy.

I have spoken to her in my little wisdom and don't even know what else to be telling her.

I need our advice please on how better to handle this and what can be done to effectively help the situation
