Uk cash machines also allow you to pay in cash and cheques. I use Nationwide and Halifax.

1stCitizen:

There is nothing like believing. Its a fact. I use cash machines everyday in the UK. I have used Nigerian cash machines as well. UK cash machines just dispense cash, allow balance checking and PIN reset. Naija cash machines have better functionality.

She doesnt know nothing. The whole country came up against this man. The whole ex-students, mothers of ex-students and all Nigerian mothers. Panels upon different panels were constituted. They were different sittings, many people came out. The old girls were particularly bitter (as they didnt want the schl's name soiled) and they constituted an independent investigating panel too. Panels dredged out all kinds of things but, zilch. So what can she know that No body knows?

I dont know Oshifala, but I am a prorietor(ess) of a secondary school. We had this kind of case once. It was terrible. The whole town rose up against the teacher. They had been instigated by some jealous teachers. Eventually, he too was found not guilty. He stayed on until after he had been found totally blameless (3 months). Then he left and I lost a wonderful dedicated hardworking teacher.

Amin Jesu!!!

This must have been a very trying time for this teacher. I am crying even as Im writing this. Bittersweet tears for what he must have through and for this outcome.
Im believing that, in his life, this is a very terrible storm before a wonderful calm, elevation, prosperity and all round blessings.

I thank God for him - even for this trial he just survived. As I believe it will bring him close/closer to his God.

Wishing him the very best now and in the years ahead in Jesus Name.

Last I checked, polygamy is legal in 2 (Islamic marriage and Traditional marriage) out of the 3 types of LEGAL marriages in our country! It's only Court marriage (you sign court papers in the church too) that excludes polygamy.
**But even Court marriage/church marriage only means you cant marry in court or church again. If you marry subsequent wives traditionally orin the Islamic ways, these marriages are NOT illegal in Nigeria.
**So if a lady doesnt mind being 2x wife, why should she say no to a married man? She is Not doing anything illegal.
(And before anyone thinks im a frustrated spinster - no, Im not. Im an old happily married woman.

***This is all shades of wrong.

olrotimi:

Did he approach her with a gun to her head? What happened to her moral decency to turn him down, knowing fully well that he was married. Na yam wey another woman don suffer to cook na im she balance chop well.
I can bet the life of me that she would have turned down many single guys before the man approached her, perhaps she broke off from her bf just to date this man. Those of us arguing that she didn't do wrong should Pls consider and put urselves in the position of this man's wife.Do you know how painful and heart wrenching it is for your husband to be taken away from you by another woman, perhaps after laboring together, setting the home, polishing and grooming the man and perhaps making him what he is today. Do you also consider her children? How would they feel?
Violence is wrong, very wrong but hey ladies, prevention is always better than cure. When a married man approaches you, run! Cos whatever comes after that, na ur headache

I'm not referring to the lady in the op, I was responding to queenfav's post. Seems you're misunderstanding my point. I always maintain that women must be financially independent so they won't be trapped in an abusive marriage. Most if them have no where to go as they can not afford to fend for themselves which should not be so.

Abegi. She is successful in her business -independent, focussed - many are here saying because of that she must be proud, she must be lording it over her husband, men have brittle egos, so therefore it is her fault. You are saying 'no woman must remain idle and become overly dependent on their spouses' (it's implicit in your statement that you think housewives are 'idle'. But that is story for another day). So therefore any woman who is dependent on her husband deserves to be beaten?

So be a successful career-driven woman you should get beaten? Be a housewife you should get beaten? SMH

dominique:

No woman must remain idle and become overly dependent on their spouse. There's a page I follow on Fb where women share tales pathetic stories in what they go through in their marriages. Women are suffering in this country sad

Yes, it actually could be. At least if a white man is unfaithful, you will leave the marriage with some financial cushion. Not totally bereft - with a broken heart and penniless.

No, I cant. I didnt as a younger female. And I wont no matter what kind of money he has.
As for women who date pot bellied men, people are too fast in judging them and concluding it's because they have money. It isnt always so. As for all those notable pot bellied politicians/very rich men, please remember that their wives married them in their much younger days when they were young and trim - If a man/woman gets pot bellied after marriage, there's little one can do.
The worst are slim men with pot bellys. Yeuck! I personally consider that allowing yourself to become pot-bellied shows lack of respect for your health, your body and your partner/spouse. My father was trim till he died. He ate moderately all his life and he played lawn tennis and went walking when he was too old to play five-a-side neigbhourhood football.

**And I know some ill-mannered young fellows, will come below now and say they think im an obese frustrated woman. Sorry, to disappoint you. I practice what I preach. Admittedly, it isnt always easy. But you get used to it. My children are aged between 30 and 13 and the photo on my profile was taken last year, I was 53yo. Nobody can be perfect, but we can all make an effort.

HBD to my wonderful MOTHER; MRS ANITA ATWAROO DHUWANTEE EDUN.
The ship of my childhood, would have been wrecked for good If it weren’t for an anchor called MOMMY aka MAMA,
Who held on to me when waters were stormy. MAMA, you are a rock star!
Without you in my life I would have never come so far,You are the best mom in the world, I know.
My respect for you, I don’t know how to show
My life has taken shape, all because of your magical touch.
Wish you a happy birthday, I love you very much.

When I was a child,You made sure my birthdays were awesome,I kept expecting cool gifts and parties,Without knowing from where, the money would come. Not once, did you ever say no to anything I asked for, ever.
I can’t imagine how you did all that,As a working hustling mother. Now that I am older and more mature, I look back at those days.
I feel blessed to have grown up under your wings,For you, there can never be enough praise!

Happy birthday MUM!
Even though you've been away in Dublin (for over 16 years), it's amazing how I hear your voice of reason every time I err. And how that chignon of jet black Indian hair loosens anytime you get pissed with us kids. And I must add, all the market women in Tejuosho and Balogun markets miss your bargaining power..."Oyinbo yii ni wahala o", they would say.

My MFM Prayer Warrior, quit sending me FLAT SHOES...I've kinda upgraded my shoe game! If only you knew the kinda shoes I rock now...#RunsOffToHide

Premium Times bias as a Northern owned nedia is clearly evident.\

Here is the latest from the nation. Your fake audio is contradicted by Ms Tosan Blessing who spoke to Ese after being freed from Sanusi Kidnappers, Sexual Slavery Den after being sexually molested by Sanusi and Co for 7 months. And yes Tosan quoted Ese as "wanted to Leave Kano"

Tosan Blessing, a lecturer in Bayero University, Kano in a facebook post confirmed her release.

” I can confirm that Ese Oruru the girl abducted in a kamikaze pattern from Bayelsa State by a randy Yinusa is in the custody of the Inspector General of Police. I saw her at the Central Police Station about 30 mins ago where she was being prepared for medical procedure and ancillary services. I spoke with her for about 16 minutes, She looks opinionated and seriously brehwared. but well oriented and wanting to leave Kano.

“She had said it was all the works of the Devil. She said she was converted to Islam and giving the name Aisha. I told her she is now being reconverted and her name of Ese is restored.

Okay I used to like her and I thought it was all rumours that she is a home wrecker but seeing her with her so called husband proves that it was not just rumours. A second wife in this day and age is nothing but a home wrecker

Really!?! That's so unrealistic and so unfair on the second, third, fourth, etc wives (as long as we are talking about our country, Nigeria).
*See, In Nigeria we have 3 absolutely LEGAL forms of marriage - Traditional, Church/Court, Islamic. Out of these 3 Legal forms of marriage, ONLY ONE isnt Polygamous i.e church/court marriage. And, catch this: even the church/court form of marriage does Not rule out more wives/polygamy. The only thing is that you cant marry more wives in church/court after you've married one there. However, you can still go ahead to marry as many as you want traditionally or in the Islamic way. LEGALLY.
*You reckon All these men you see with one wife really ALL have one wife?! Those that dont even hide their polygamy are better - lots of Nigerian wives only discover they arent the only one at the graveside. How about that? There's this phrase, I didnt coin it but i will repeat it again here because it's so true: The only Nigerian man you know the number of wife(ves) he has, is a dead Nigerian man.
*Nigeria wives/mothers shouldnt just kill themselves with hypertension. The prayer should be that God gives them longevity to reap the fruits of their labour on their children. That by God's grace, when the time comes and their children are graduating, getting married, etc 3 minutes silence for the dearly departed mother wont be their portion. That the good Lord grants that nobody represents them on their children's glorious days in Jesus Name.

Don't know why she deserves to be a model, she ain never had to struggle for shiit...surely there are better things that Could have made her rich that befits her like Her Bakery Blowing up in Cash that would be more in tune to the prayers she offers her pastors not a model

Please dont say that. You dont know her story..You didnt know her struggles. Neither do I. But at least we all know that the situation and poverty was so dire that she had to leave her husband and one of her children back at home, in her village, to come and hustle in Lagos.
Leaving one's children behind to go away to hustle can be real heartrending. Who feels it knows it. Many many years ago I had to leave my children behind to go hustle abroad (my husband was late), they were not even as young as Jumoke's children; many nights I will weep and weep because I missed them awfully and I wondered how they were. I also mourned the fact that I was missing out on our lives together as they were growing (thank God).
We thank God, it's all history today. Nobody saw me then and shot me to instant wealth. But Im not envious of Jumoke. I thank God for her and her uncommon favour. Let us be happy for people when fortune favours them like this (most of those rich people in Nigeria today, got there thru crooked means), while praying that God answers us too mightily too.
No, it is not exactly well, but it will be well by His Grace.

Your grammar is terrible, your tenses are atrocious. You have no inkling at all of when or how to start sentences and paragraphs- instead you use "coma" indiscriminately for everything. (How did you pass your GAS 100? Or is it no more a compulsory course at UnIlọrin?).

But see, because of your less than poor presentation, I'm not going to badmouth your poor ill-paid, but hard working lecturers nor condemn the whole school because a stream never disdains its source; and that school made me whatever I am today, it made you too, Mr. Employer.

Who are you to join others and start ridiculing the school in public, Mr. Let-the-truth-be-told? Why do you want to wash your dirty linens (if any) outside when there's plenty of room inside?

W-o-z-a-i! Young woman, you've bowled me over and won my lifetime respect.

First hats off to your parents for good home training and kudos to you for accepting their training. The last thing I was expecting was how you responded. The main reason I don't contribute on Nairaland is how unbelievably rude youngsters can be when responding to a person.
They respond by totally leaving the issues being discussed and start insulting one's personality. I've had one or two experiences of such on Nairaland so I try to respect my old age and just read the forum.

Long story short, this is just to say thank you for the decent way you responded.

Have a great new year, dear.

Hahaha. What do you know? He doesn't need "Davido's notice", young woman. He is world -renowned. Has been world-renowned long before David was a speck in his parents' eyes.

Some people, like Davido are only very very Rich even millionaires, but some people like Dr. Ola Balogun, are Wealthy. Go figure. The difference between the two terms, Rich/Wealthy, is subtle and at the same time distinct. It's only those who do not worship money that understand the difference; and unfortunately these (who dont worship money) are few.
