.

I'll respond just once, as it seems you're not well-informed. In today's rapidly evolving world, events like the Russia/Ukraine conflict highlight the importance of drone and electronic warfare, which are more cost-effective to produce. These are operated by the Air Force. Traditional fighter jets may not be viable against nations with robust air defenses.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Iran Has Launched Drone Attacks Against Israel by AroleOduduwa2: 1:16am On Apr 14
Iamzik:

You are justifying Iran for launching a direct attack on Israel from Iran because Israel attacked Iranian consulate in another country

And my simple question is why did Iran not launch an attack on Washington DC to retaliate the death of soulemani during trump era?

Your yapping about US begging Iran not to retaliate is pure bullshit. Trump never appeased Iran in any way. That was Biden.

You trying to draw an equivalent between attack of an embassy Vs direct attack from one country to the other show your utter lack of understanding of how nations respond to military aggression

A assaulting a foreign consulate equates to an attack on the homeland of that nation. Such actions are explicitly prohibited under the UN Charter. Did the US attack Iranian embassy, the answer is NO, so the appropriate response was given at that time.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Iran Has Launched Drone Attacks Against Israel by AroleOduduwa2: 12:50am On Apr 14
Iamzik:

Yet Iran never attacked US soil when US carried out a similar attack that killed soulemani??

There is a difference between attacking the embassy of Iran in another country and directly attacking Iranians on their soil

If you don't understand this difference then you are the real definition of embarrassment and sheer ignorance

Your understanding is completely off base. Suleimani wasn't killed on Iranian soil but in Iraq. Subsequently, US assets in Iraq were targeted. The US then sought mediation using Russia. Trump's departure from office led to further attempts to appease Iran, including the release of frozen funds by Biden administration. It's amusing how individuals like yourself fabricate their own narratives and believe in them wholeheartedly. 🤡

My brother, this is a political war. The same reason why USA kills suleimani an Irania top general in Iraq 4 yrs ago, was the same reason why israel target those iranian generals in Damascus consulate attack early this month that triggered this. Those General are responsible for Hamas, hisbollah, and houthi attacks coordination. Infact they are in the same meeting in that consulate on the day of the attack. Idf had all their fact and as been tracking them for long before that day. They came tbere for the purpose of meeting with those terrorists.

What a nonsensical perspective! After Suleiman's death, Trump had to solicit Russia's intervention to prevent Iran from targeting their assets in the Middle East. Similarly, Israel's strike on the Iranian consulate forced them to appeal to foreign ministers to dissuade Iran from retaliating. Iran has learned from past incidents; if they don't respond, the mainstream media will portray them as weak, as they did before. Iran, a superpower armed with advanced weaponry, must be taken seriously.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Iran Has Launched Drone Attacks Against Israel by AroleOduduwa2: 12:28am On Apr 14
Iamzik:

Israel did not launch an attack on Iran from Israeli soil. Iran has just launched an attack on Israel directly from Iranian soil. Do you understand what that means?

That is a license for Israel to directly target where the missiles/drones originated from. That is declaration of full scale war!

Stop embarrassing yourself; attacking a foreign consulate equates to an attack on the homeland of that nation. Such actions are explicitly prohibited under the UN Charter.

Children on Nairaland lack an understanding of geopolitical strategies. By examining the map, it's clear that if the United States were to intervene directly, Europe could lose access to oil and gas as routes through the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea would be compromised. Additionally, Iran, supported by Russia and China, possesses advanced weaponry, making it a significant global player.

Just look at the shallow mentality of my fellow nairalanders. If Russian attacks this second drone,USA will retaliate by using economic war (more sanctions) or hacking their websites like the way Trump did to Iran, totally ban their imports and exports, totally withdraw the license of their Russian companies.Putin can eat all his nuclear weapons

You cannot unilaterally impose sanctions on a nation and expect them to work; this is why sanctions against Iran, Russia, and North Korea haven't worked. What sanctions can the US afford to dish out when, in fact, two major banks and many regional banks have collapsed? Sanctions are also affecting US airlines; they have to charge more for travelers from Asia, whereas Emirates and other Middle Eastern airlines charge less, giving them an unfair advantage. The West is heading towards major collapse because trust in their system is lost. I hope you have learnt a thing or two today.

If they are afraid, you think they'll fly another drone there again on same mission?

They re obviously avoiding irrational escalations.

It took them 10 years to end Osama. That's a patience most countries don't have. You will never understand this and I don't expect you to.

Flying another drone 50 km away from where Russia considered their territorial part of the Black Sea that's cowardice; mind you, NATO as a whole didn't need much of an excuse to attack Iraq.

Lol, the wannabe superpower.
Putin overestimated his third rate military and underestimated the resolve of the Ukrainian people thinking it will be like 2014 but he was mistaken. Hundreds of thousands of Russians are dead and are still dying like dogs in Ukraine and the clown even took it a step further by enlisting ordinary Russian in the useless war including a Zambian student who was jailed on drug charges.
Yet the unenlightened uncle sam haters here thinks the west is fighting Russia, as if we were gonna be fighting Russia by playing the defensive and using low grade military hardware, Lol. That is what the so called superpower (with a gas station economy) has been struggling with for the past 48 hours.

Incoherent remark. The gas station economy has yet to collapse after being sanctioned, whereas the US has seen two major banks fail, and the EU has seen a mass exodus of industry heading eastward. I'm sure your next question is whether I can live in Russia; the answer is no, because I don't speak the language. I was educated in an English-speaking Western country, and living in any country where English is not spoken would be extremely difficult. Having said that, Russia is a proponent of a multipolar world, as evidenced by recent events such as Iran and Saudi Arabia joining forces, England agreeing to trade in Indian currency, Pakistan agreeing to link their bank with RU, and Saudi Arabia wanting to trade in Yuan. For those who are unfamiliar, Egypt, Italy, and England were once powerful empires

The battle, not the war, has been won by APC. If the case reaches the Supreme Court and, God forbid, the court upholds Jagaban's conviction, the country will face a constitutional crisis. Most people believe that the situation is more complicated than it is.

This is the most contentious election since 1999. Buhari can't seem to get anything right, from monetary policies to election administration. Everything he touches reflects his failure and nepotism.

There is no need for an explanation from Inec; you have advised the aggrieved to go to court; save your statements for your legal team.

Someone will simply wake up and type garbage while claiming to be an analyst. Russia has depleted NATO's stockpile, and Ukraine is on the verge of running out of artillery and scraping the barrels.

Russia's forces are only marginally involved; the RU has used PMC, chenchen, DRP, and LRP soldiers.

According to recent reports, Russia has a ten-to-one kill ratio.

Russia is preparing for a larger conflict than Ukraine and is fully prepared for a long war.

24 states plus FCT compulsorily or 25 random states of the 37 states.

Exactly something like this. 12 states out of 19.
Secondly, even if a rerun is declared, Obi isn't the runner up. That's my fear. Rerun would be between Atiku and Tinubu.

Exactly, there will be a rerun unless they find another way to interpret the FCT law.

There will be no rerun. Tinubu has met the requirement of the law.

Why haven't they declared him the next President? The FCT is not a state, and the law requires you to have at least 25% after having the majority of votes and meeting the 25% in at least two-thirds of the country.

You need 25% there though, that's the interpretation of the law. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is the capital territory of Nigeria, and it is in this territory that the capital city of Abuja is located. The FCT is not a state but is administered by elected officials who are supervised by the federal government.

I think Buhari set us all up, they will definitely form an interim government while there is a rerun.

Politics / Re: Observers Say Presidential Election In Ekiti Is One Of Nigeria's Best by AroleOduduwa2: 5:57am On Feb 28, 2023
Nigeria's problem is her institutions, such as the inec and the police force; this election was heavily rigged in favor of the incumbent party, which is unsurprising. My biggest concern is the level of tribalism; people voting for unknown people with no track record in the name of tribe, the majority of whom will defect to the two major parties once the dust settles.

As an Ijebu man who has been an avid supporter of Tinubu in the past, I believe it is fair to say that he came prepared, was well calculated, and played the game perfectly, despite the fact that Obi ruined his chances in the west and ss, he proved to be the best politician by his North masterclass results.
