Kobojunkie: Intelligence gathering has little to do with the people in the host communities. It is the job of the security service to figure out ways to gather this information, even in cases where those in the host communities are reluctant to provide data, especially in situations where they are afraid for their own selves.
So again . . . . LOL @ the bolded part. In Naija you can't gather enough intelligence without the local informants. Even in the western world a large part of the citizenry are encouraged to spy on their neighbor for security purposes. |

Kobojunkie: We pay the Nigerian Public, manned by Goodluck Jonathan, Billions each year to protect the nation. But even after that, the bulk of security still lies with host communities . . . essentially, people still need to handle providing security for themselves? If this one no be slave mentality, I don't know what else qualifies. Kobo, you do know that intelligence gathering/informants are very important part of security? What is required from the host communities is to expose and eject this Bokos. And the police will do the rest *hopefully*. |

Interesting post, I also see the similarities between Boko haram and the Anini saga in Bendel state. Just like the Bokos are been harbour by the northern muslims so was Anini harboured by the Benins. But what followed is what I want this present government to learn from. The Benin peeps and their Oba were put on blast for not helping enough in the apprehension of anini, that lead to the benin market women coming out en mass naked to put a curse on anini, weeks later he was apprehended by the police under parry Osayande. |

Big B1: No disrespect, but this question sounds like is from an extremely hopeless and depressed entity.
Nigeria is a wonderful country full of bright creative people, if we are sensible enough to set aside personal feelings, personal agenda and sentiments, I'm confident that we will come up with a sincere, focused, and competent replacement. And believe it or not, it all depends on us, Nigerians. The replacement better not be a Northerner. or else there will also be a wild wild south south. as in bye bye to all oil wells and facilities. Just a thought. |

Sweetnecta: ^^^ darn pagan. I guess you are walking your way through them all; replacing one with another. I am open to everything, even Islam, that is why I ask you those questions. I wast to be able to decide for myself which one is best. buzugee: thats the problem. religion is man made. religion is demonic. it is a system concocted by satanic egotistic men who wanted to and still control the masses. the lord didnt bring religion. he brought you laws and commandments. some slick salesmen saw the laws and commandments and figured, i could make money and control people with this information---and BOOM. religion erupted on the scene My problem with religion is that it is too conservative. |

buzugee: AND HOW A BLACK MAN CAN TAKE UP THE FALSE RELIGION OF THEIR OPPRESSORS IS BEYOND ME. YOU ALL ARE SHEEP. this applies to christians and muslims. you both need to have your heads examined for real. you need prayers and fasting following the white man and the arab like sheep I genuinely like Christianity, Its my choice. I have an open heart when it comes to religion, I tried Olokun and Ogun but Jesus is the best. |

however the ideal situation is to be sinless but that is impossible That is so untrue, we don't have sin in our DNA. man can live without sin. In the new world order that Jesus Christ advocated, we will all live a life without sin. |

Politics › Re: How Can We End Corruption In Nigeria: From Top To Bottom, Or Bottom To Top? by Arosa(m): 4:49pm On Jan 20, 2012 |
Nobody should be spared not even a member of your ethnic group. Corruption fight can never succeed with tribal sentiments. This sentiment is too pronounced not only in nairaland, but in the country as a whole. Example, here in nairaland, some people absolve Tinubu of corruption practices but are very quick to condemn people like Mrs, Madueke, okonjo iweala, etc. It's a shame!!!!!! well said, karpentar. they should not end it, I'm yet to benefit from it. For me the quotes above are the reasons why corruption is very strong in Naija. there is no genuine will to fight corruption. |
