Family › Re: Reasons Why Several Marriages Are No Longer Lasting by Arostar2023: 11:45pm On Jul 17, 2025 |
cutecommend: Marriage is a beautiful thing to be enjoyed and not endured. And if several marriages lasted in the past, why are many marriages failing today? Why are several people scared of getting married, when in the past, it was not so.
Reasons Why Marriages Fail Today.
(1) Waste of Emotions in Dating: Some have wasted their emotions with wrong people while dating to the point that their current emotions may not be good enough for marriage. Marrying with damaged emotions or with a person that has damaged emotions may lead to divorce.
(2) Sex Soul-Tie: Sex soul-tie is like a covenant established during pre-marital or extra-marital sex. This is what probably makes some married persons go back to their exes for sex e.t.c. Some married persons may have to imagine their Exes during sex with their spouse, just to probably feel fulfilled.
(3) Too Many Bad Persons: The number of good people seem fewer than before, so picking a good spouse today is by God's grace.
Again, many people have red flags in them.
(4) Wrong Gender Equality: If a woman can submit to her boss or pastor, she has no tangible reason not to submit to her husband. Again, a man is not to share his responsibilities with his wife. He is to provide for her and love her. If this cannot work, couples may separate for a while, get fixed and come back again.
(5) Undue High Standard: Looking for extreme expectations.
(6) Lack of Humility and Unwillingness to Change: A man with a bad character should not be preaching submission. He should change his ways.
If couples are humble and do well to work on themselves, marriage can go well. Your first sentence is the reason why marriages are no longer lasting. People now follow your advice. Our parents stayed put in marriage, in good and bad times. |

EvilMerodack: So, what has your speaking ill of the dead done for you?
Will it make you immortal?
Does it change the fact that he attained a height you can ever reach, even if you live up to 300years?
They ask you not to speak of the dead because decorum and respect are the best parting gift we can give them. We are humans, not beasts. Civility and Nobility is what sets us apart from ani-mals. Mocking the dead betrays those two things Speaking ill of dead wicked men serves as a warning to the living. It has its uses... |

ZeemsPropeties: Thank you for the correction. However, my stance still remains. He ruled this nation. The nation has to celebrate his life. Yea, you actually have a point. But some of the citizens don't want to celebrate someone who made life difficult for them and shattered the hope of many that voted him in because of his supposed stance on corruption and discipline. Anyway, na those wey get the power dey decide wetin go happen for whatever reasons. Congratulations to you. Keep honoring whoever you like. |

Look at the kind of things that matter to us We don't celebrate legacies and achievements na run and grab it politicians, that mismanaged the country that we love and celebrate. |

AMINDA: Interesting revelation. It can be argued that Tinubu has continued with this vendetta against the Fulanis just like the OPC by systematically trying to cut them off from power completely. However, for every action, he should expect a reaction that need not be equal. The North-Southwest alliance as was conceived may be dead. It's currently one-sided. There may be a need to rewrite the terms if it is to continue. Otherwise, it's "to thy tents, Oh Israel!" What you said would have made a lot of sense if not for the fact that southern politicians are intrinsically greedy, rapacious and self-centered. Northern politicians are greedy and rapacious too, but they always put the interest of their region first. |

You are on a life support but you are busy building and spending a fortune on legacy projects, where alternatives exist. You are on a life support but you are spending money on luxuries. Keep on waiting... after 8 years, you will wait for another 8 years for someone else to turn things around. When he finishes the 8 years, we rate him Na so... Nigerians would have to wait for 8 years to rate their leaders? Do you know and understand what and how long 8 years is? No wonder Africa is the way it is. Time is wasted and sacrificed on the altar of primordial sentiments. |

B.A.T. is no longer the governor of Lagos State but the president of Nigeria. Many us were not in Lagos at that time (when he was a governor) and hence do not care about his purported past success. Whatever magic he did in Lagos state in terms of developmental strides and improving the lives of his constituency should be replicated in Nigeria for all to see. It's already two years since he assumed office as the president.

Beremx: he didn't wait for 10years to cry out. From his old videos he posted on social media, he's been going to court and welfare all to no avail. He was threatened and his shop burnt down because he wants to see his kids. He went to his ex wife's kinsmen, they chased him out. The last option is to come on social media. Abeg leave the man alone Anyway, the man can tell better on why he has been an absentee father. The court and welfare can't just hand over children to you simply because you are the biological father. They take the past and the present into consideration. But then, I can't imagine been in his situation. It can be heartbreaking. |

WorkTheTalk: Dangote has announced plans to reduce the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, also known as cooking gas. However the real enemies of Nigeria who have fed fat on the nation's natural gas resources for years while the consumers suffered are ready to resist such Price slash. What a nation. Unfortunately, you will see gullible people who were born to suffer supporting this resistance So for your left mind Dangote is for the masses, abi? Have you forgotten what he did to the cement market? Monopoly is a dangerous tool in the hand of the greedy. They will first start by destroying every opposition/competition by driving them out of the market by selling way below market price. They incur losses for a while but they won't feel it because they have huge capital. After that, they will start controlling the market and fixing prices as the deem fit. |

You will begin to hear different songs and messages being released in every part of the north if Obi happens to get the presidential ticket. It happened during last election but on a low-key. That's why Obi couldn't get anything in the core north. This sentiment isn't going anywhere anytime soon. They should be reminded that Delta people said that were not Igbos |

Thunderfayamods: Nobody is saying you shouldn't talk about the bad they might have done. There is way you can say that without making mockery of his death because good or bad we will all die one day.
Let me give you an example; "Buhari didn't do well as a president he brought hardship on Nigerians regardless let the Almighty God be the judge. May his soul rest in peace".
That is a good example, I have passed a message without making mockery of his death. Now tell me is it the same way she wrote? See the way Nigerians reason all in a bid to sound pius and religious. You see evil with your korokoro eyes and you are waiting for God to judge and tell you once again that it's evil. I guess you are still waiting on God to live right for you? After voting in calamities due to tribalism, you are calling on God to judge. |

- Kiss the truth! Nobody is disputing that. Everyone will and can die at anytime. Old and young both die. Politicians fought, killed and threatened other people with death to get into leadership positions. Their actions and inactions while in power resulted in the death of many.
