Bulllshite! Trust me when I say that Adis Ababa and Casablanca are much worse than Barcelona and Prague. The techniques they use in those cities would be considered 'world class' in Europe.

She actually right. Race as we know it does not exist. But those groups including Somalis/Arabs/Whites and other HOA all have the same skull shape.

read this....

Caucasian race (also Caucasoid[1] or Europid[2]) is the general physical type of some or all of the populations of Europe, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, Western Asia, Central Asia, and South Asia.[3] The term was used in biological anthropology for many people from these regions, without regard necessarily to skin tone.[4] First introduced in early racial science and anthropometry, the taxon has historically been used to denote one of the proposed major races of humankind.[5] Although its validity and utility is disputed by many anthropologists, Caucasoid as a biological classification remains in use,[6] particularly within the field of forensic anthropology.[5]

Abuamam:
Perhaps the Italians who colonised Somaliland had less interest in the divide and rule tactic; if indeed it was such. In pre-colonial Rwanda, Hutus and Tutsis were delineated mostly on the basis of cattle ownership and hierarchy. It took the Belgians to differentiate them based on nose lengths and lip thickness... leading ultimately to a bloody genocide.
It's not that they didn't have any interest in dividing the Somali clans, it was because they couldn't. The Italians, French and the British were allowed to roam the vast Somali territories in the horn by the Somali clans. In Djibouti, the French were granted naval bases by the Somali Issa clan and the Afars. In British and Italian Somaliland, the British signed treaties with the coastal clans and they never entered the mainland. People in south Somalia made sure that the Italians knew that if a Somali person were to get whipped or mistreated, an Italian soldier would pay the price.

It doesn't downplay anything, the people taking Africa as a country are mostly ignorants and racists they don't care and don't want to know about the so called good happening...so why wasting our time? Furthermore all Africans are connected, as we were assaulted as a single group or identity ...hiding behind It's not happening in my country won't bring us anywhere .

Lol how is Africa or African unity gained ? If you can not b sensitive to the sufferings of people around you my friend am afraid you will never see any unity
This is exactly what I was going to say.

JiggamanGh:
The people saying it are not racist but ignorant and it's our job to set them straight. We are very sensitive to the suffering of our neighbors but still doesn't make sense to call us a country.
Some of the people who think that Africa is a country are of African descent, just so you know.

If you really think that African unity is gained by merely accepting the perception of the ignorant then boy, we must have some pretty dumb intellectuals. How did this slip away from great Pan-Africanists?

That's awesome smiley

When you say Hadrawi, you mean the type spoken in Sanaag, Aeyn, Togdheer/Burco etc? Basically the 'waqooyi' of Som.? Some of the lingo & grammar they use is totally unfamiliar, so I def get what you mean. I was told the language there is 'purer' than farther south, and even northern-most Djib.

Sounds like your grandmother has a lot to say. You should learn Hadrawi, and earn her ear. I envy you that.
Yeah, tough northern dialect with unfathomable words and sentences. I'll lend her an attentive ear when I see her next, hopefully by then I'll be more proficient in Hadrawi.

I must say, you've come a long way from when you were calling for a Horn African holocaust.

what's wrong with Africa being regarded as a country?

Everything is wrong with it. It downplays the positivity and progress coming out of the continent because it is overshadowed by all the bad things that are happening down there. Remember a few nights ago when you talked about the French misreporting the number of Africans in France? Well this is similar to that but it has a reverse effect.

African unity is not gained this way.

Yh, and it gets much cooler temps in the summer when the rest of Djib is pretty much unbearably hott. Gr8 looking out, bro lol. Come to think of it, your name sounds a lot like those mountains, but I'm struggling with the root word..
I'm not sure you know, I asked my dad(last month) and my grandma separately but they contradicted each other. My grandma started speaking in Hadrawi type Somali so I gave up trying to understand what she was going on about. The only thing I understood from her long speech was that the name has something to do with the sun, clouds and the rainy season. While my dad said that it means victorious warrior, coincidentally there was a famous Somali warrior with that name in the 18th century.

I prefer the last-mentioned of course tongue

GERALD710:
The Somali National Army was being beaten left right and centre by Al Shabaab before 2011,When Kenya arrived on the scene. The only reason Amisom was performing poorly prior to 2011was the small number of troops that had been commited Although a large number of nations had provided troops, most provided only 1 batallion and troop numbers were less than 8000.Today over 22,000 Amisom troops are present in Somalia which is why they have been able to capture more territory from Al Shabaab. Kenya's entry to Somalia provided the motivation for Amisom's expansion as it showed that an army,if well organised could beat Al Shabaab. At the same time, since then,Kenya's airforce and navy have acted as Amisom's air and naval power. Amisom continues to Expand(5 more nations are joining),more troops means more ground to cover.
And the Somali Government hardly has any power beyond Mogadishu.Jubaland for example is a de facto Independent entity ruled from Kismayu by Madobe and Co.with Kenyans pulling the strings .
Before 2011, the SNA was almost a nonentity and most of the fighting was between local clan militias and Alshabab. When the SNA and Amisom forces gained ground, those clan militias were fully absorbed by the SNA and they were given the responsibility of safekeeping their own regions. There are over 15 000 Somali soldiers + thousands of other ethnic Somalis from Ethiopia and Djibouti guarding Hiiraan and Galgadud and they continue to push Alshabab out wherever they go.

Pres. Mohamoud and Madobe had problems over the process which Jubaland was created but they came to an agreement earlier this year and it is now a recognised federal state in Somalia. Kenya helped the Ogaden Ras Kamboni forces liberate Lower Juba and parts of Middle Juba because it as in their best interests. They couldn't let Alshabab roam freely just across the border because the inevitable terror attack from them would come sooner or later.

There is no denying that Somali National army has been at the forefront in fighting alshabaab, they've certainly done some great work,( under the help of Amisom) . But SNA doesnot have the numbers or the capability to guard and control all places that are free of alshabaab, the still depend on Amisom forces to complement them, If the SNA were given all the tanks and amoured vehicles and everything that Amisom uses, then maybe we will talk of a different situation...

Amisom/Uganda went to Mogadishu so that they can create a space so that the somali government can be headquartered in Mogadishu. they went as a peace keeping force for the initial years and they only ocupied the areas around the airport and the villa and were no authorised to go on an offensive,,,, they were only supposed to defend themselves against attacks from alshabaab. and they lost alot of soldiers doing that. when the president was elected , Ugandas mandate was changed from a peace keeping force to an offensive force and together with SNA, they began retaking back Mogadishu so that the government can begin to operate and take back contol of the country.
It's true that the SNA neither had the man power nor the military equipment to liberate whole regions from Alshabab but you have to bear in mind that there is/was an arms embargo preventing the SNA from acquiring weaponry and equipment that would make a huge difference in the fight against Alshabab.

While both forces are dependant on each other, I think it is illogical to completely attribute the recent victories to Amisom alone. The SNA are there fighting for their land and their efforts deserve some recognition too.

-Kenya DOD have said the jet crashed after technical glitches, but they would soon explain....
-Alshabaab said they shot the jet with a shoulder missile; If this is true, they must have aquired it recently since they have never shot a Kenyan Plane b4 with a missile.
If its true they acquired missiles, it also makes the rumour that they might have smuggled in Sarin Nerve Gas from Syria close to be a fact!!! Sarin Gas is the most deadly nerve gas, it killes within hours!!! We are definately in for the long haul,
I think soon enough Kenya Army will just have to drop some bunker busters and enaolate the whole areas that alshabbab are know to hide, regadles of concerns for colateral damage...... Because Somalia Government is not even taking strides to control areas already liberated by Amisom, They have been accused of eatin the money given to them for their development, now they are fighting politics in parliament and they want to vote a vote of no confidence against there prime minister.... in short they are lost in their cause!!! God Help us all
Liberated by Amisom you know lol... Without the Somali National Army, Amisom would have still been hiding between Villa Somalia and the airport while collecting their generous monthly paycheques. They would have continued firing missiles in every direction possible due to the panic attacks they get when Alshabab strikes. AU/Amisom has been in the country since 2006 yet they only started to gain territory when Pres. Mohamoud was elected in late 2011. Before that Clan militias either fought Alshabab or signed peace agreements with them, it was every man for himself.

Although it's prone to corruption, the Somali government has been rebuilding local councils and states, hence why we've seen the birth of Jubaland, South West State and an expanded version of Galmudug state. It is a clever move by the government, considering how clannish the Somali people are, they know they will rally behind their own. Turning the civilians against the occupying terrorist forces has already paid off in parts of Gedo, Bay and Shabelle. I wouldn't call that nothing.

okay, I see , you know statistics are about perception and minds control, when a group people know their real number they know their strength, that's how African population are being reduced in france almost everyday, the minute Africans will realize they can impose their values ,visions etc through the so called democracy they cherish is the day Europe as a whole will go back to monarchy and will stop talking about democracy forever.
you guys can start with Minesota cool
The French frustrate the hell out of me. An Ivorian ex colleague told me all about their blatant systemic racism and arrogance.
I think they're already discussing how they could change the rules because continuous waves of African immigrants rain upon the shores of Italy, France and Spain.

There are plenty of Cameroonians and Ghanaians in Germany, perhaps your peeps can come to an agreement on how they should divide it lol.

you are probably counting the illegal ones undecided, I know for sure the somlians din't bring their goats and camels to be counted grin
No their census says 115k http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somalis_in_the_United_Kingdom
But when I was in London a couple of years back, I encountered a lot of European Somalis, mostly from Netherlands and Sweden. They would go down in their census as Dutch or Swedish. Somalis in GB can easily amount to 150k in my opinion. Anyone who has been to London or been around Somalis in the UK would agree.

If we had brought our livestock with us, the European continent would have been renamed 'the New Somali states of Europe'. grin

Looking at the figures of Zimbabwe, Somalia and Algeria, Nigeria has the lowest criminals in UK via population percent ratio.
Percentage ratio of Prisoners:
1. Nigeria. Total residents in UK 106,000
Total Prisoners: 832
Percentage ratio = 832/106,000 multiply by 100
Percentage ratio of Nigerian criminals in UK = 0.78%

2. Somalia. Total residents in UK 45,000
Total Prisoners: 558
Percentage ratio: 558/45,000 multiply by 100
Percentage ratio of Somalians in UK = 1.24%

3. Zimbabwe. Total residents in UK 50,000
Total Prisoners: 482
Percentage ratio: 482/50,000 multiply by 100
Percentage ratio of Zimbabweans criminals in UK = 0.96%

4. Algeria. Total residents in UK 9,000
Total Prisoners: 305
Percentage ratio: 305/9,000 multiply by 100
Percentage ratio of Algerians criminals in UK = 3.38%

Based on percentage ratio to the total number of residents in the UK, Algeria has the highest prisoners with 3.38%

Nigeria has the lowest Prisoners with 0.78%
Those figures are far off, there are over 120k Somalis in Great Britain.
