justli:
Yes we are hypocrites. Yes we refuse to assent to gay marriage. the sanity of our society and the kids unborn is important to us. The same
love and affection we enjoyed with the opposite sex we want our children 50 years down the line to experience. Even in America, public sex is still an offence, why? Sanity needs to be protected.

If we open our ourselves up to foreign influence, we would wake up one day and have to make our children understand that sexual affection should be for the opposite sex only.

And yes, gay isn't natural. Some will argue that is who they are. That's how they feel. How they didn't make themselves gay, and all of that...
But then, there are men who only have deep affection for children, both male and female. We call the pedophiles. Even pedophiles have a case: this is who they are. why would they lure kids and face the strong consequence of life imprisonment if caught, if that isn't who they are?

Some men have deep feeling and love for family members. That's how the feel. That's who they've become. What about people who love animals. They get aroused just thinking of doing it with dogs and horses. If you think the animal lovers are in the minority, do a sub redit search. Tomorrow, they too will question the position of the world not let them express their free desire towards animals. I love my dog. This is who I'm. I should have the freedom to express myself.

As african, we have got a lot of things wrong. But on this one, we have to stand firm against the enemies of sanity and morality. Do it in your closet, we look the other way. But when you sell it on our streets, don't blame the government.
You get sense die! It's like you read my mind.

A man should not be intimidated by a homosexual. By that I mean, those people who set out to preach “fire and brimstone,” the beating and harassing of homosexuals and lesbians, in most cases are people that fear for a dormant personality that might come forth from themselves.
If you are sure about your manhood or womanhood, then you should have no fear of socializing or befriending a person with different sexual preferences than you. The very fear is a confession that if you were to socialize with a homosexual or lesbian you’re afraid you might become
a homosexual or a lesbian
More like I don't want my future kid to think it's normal

You lack exposure gal.

There are some persons who do not consume alcohol but when they visit the club, they settle for soft drinks or plain water.

Ordering for a bottle of water at a bar or club is not bad.

it is called "choice".

Since it sounds awkward to you, keep your reservation to yourself and stop hating those who do it.
Good Lord, you people are furstrating! I never EVER made any hate comment about people going to clubs, it's their lifes not mine. My point remains that clubbing is bad if it involves indecent dressing, drinking and sex!

Can you prove that taking alcohol is bad? I mean prove. Not just parrot what a pastor told you. Do you know that the communion used by the catholic church is alcoholic? Stop being myopic.

All your points are moot after your admittance.
The fallacy you've just committed is called "Argumentum Ad Hominien (Circumstantial)". It's an error in reasoning to say all my points are invalid only because I've not set foot in a club before. All the same sha, thanks for adding to my vocabulary, I just learnt the meaning of moot

Therein lies your many assumptions.
People who go clubbing are familiar with all the points I listed.
I may never have stepped into one but I heard enough from people, watch enough movies, read how it goes in stories. I think it's only in your world people go to clubs just to dance and drink water

I mentioned dancing. Another poster also mentioned people-watching. I mentioned the sound system and scenery of many clubs is not achievable in a home setting.
In my experience of going clubbing over twenty or so times I have seen people hookup only thrice and never more. The girls are always guarded against strangers approaching because of the setting.
What does that leave me with? Seventeen times I went out to have fun dancing because everyone else was doing the same.
Really? Then you must have been going to dance stages cause that's not the clubbing I know

I'm willing to bet its only Nigerians/Africans that see clubbing as "drinking, dancing and smoking".
Maybe but that's clubbing the way I know it.

So its not clubbing that is bad, its the activities you do.
So to you drinking is bad, it doesn't matter were it happens.
Finally you understand me in a way. If clubbing can't be seperated from these wrong activities which I honestly think it's impossible, it's bad.
Romance › Re: Does Clubbing Makes Someone A Bad Person? by AryEmber(f): 5:34pm On Nov 07, 2018
AZeD1:
I don't agree clubbing is bad neither do I agree drinking is bad.

Like i said earlier, everything that can be done in a club can be done in a house so if clubbing is bad then having a house is bad.

People drink alcohol at the beach, would you say going to the beach is bad?
If you are going there to drink and wear skimping dress, then yes.

What other things?
Drinking is an evil habit now?
List them.
I have never supported drinking. My point has been; clubbing is bad becos apart from drinking and having one nightstands, there's barely anythingelse people do in clubs.

Not everybody in a club takes alcohol.
I think it's safe to say that the amount of folks that go to clubs to drink just water are few, if you agree then you should agree that clubbing is bad except for few people who go to drink water.

Anything you want to drink and yes water is sold in clubs.
Listen to yourself, you'll go all the way from home to no other places but a club just to dance and drink water? That must be fun truly.

It's in the same way I'll never understand why people spend money and go out of their way to drive kilometres in a car only to do physical work in another building as opposed to doing house chores and also exercising while at home.
To each their own then. Variety makes the world a more interesting place.
Variety may make the world an interesting place, it does not stop me from calling what I feel is wrong other thing. If you feel comfortable going to club just to dance, I can't say much about that but if it includes the other things, then clubbing is bad.

MrEnigma007:
does going to a bar makes one "a bad person?"

if you don't see drinking as bad, how does it make a person doing same in a club bad?

BTW, what activity actually makes the club a bad place?
Who said I don't view drinking as bad? Is that not the point of my argument all this while?
Romance › Re: Does Clubbing Makes Someone A Bad Person? by AryEmber(f): 4:34pm On Nov 07, 2018
AZeD1:
There's dancing, there's drinking, there's eating and there is just gisting. Some clubs have multiple dance floors so you might have one section playing Salsa music and another playing pop.

In a group of 8 people in a club, not all of them are there for the dancing or the drinking but the group chose a club to hangout.
When you write drinking, is it water?

Science students are the ones who give clubbing a bad name. And a man in my position does not go to the same type of night clubs that Science Students can afford.

A real man must be defined by his class and not settle for less.
If that's the case, then you are going to a bar instead.
Romance › Re: Does Clubbing Makes Someone A Bad Person? by AryEmber(f): 4:09pm On Nov 07, 2018
okwabayi:
I go clubbing most times to dance to high energy music blasting from massive speakers. Dancing in a room where others do the same is a completely different experience one can hardly replicate at home.
It's like asking people why they prefer going to the gym as opposed to exercising alone at home.
The drinks at clubs are over-inflated in price and the girls only want the big spenders with more money than intellect.
I don't believe one can just get into a club and start dancing without any drink but if you can, then you like people watch you dance. I do all my dance in front of my mirror, I will never waste money, leave my home just to dance.
Romance › Re: Does Clubbing Makes Someone A Bad Person? by AryEmber(f): 4:02pm On Nov 07, 2018
AZeD1:
Its one of the best places actually as it offers a variety of activities to do.
Those who want to dance will dance, those there for the drinks will drink while those there to gist will gist. There are places in clubs that are not loud.
Tell me what these variety of activities are. I don't get you, you go to a club only to find a quiet place to chat? Or you are talking of a bar?
