Didi 5: I discovered about 30 people that got 70 and 71 as aggregate and 12 with 69 as aggregate on facebook.Like some guy rightly said despite the poor performance recorded in JAMB this year which had a direct impact on the number of postumites this year,professional courses like law and medicine will remain competitive and one can only scale through with the favour of God with faith and prayers.Moreso,i also could not find any engineering aspirant with a total aggregate score of 61.If its true that 10000 candidates scored 50 and above,it means that Uniben will admit three out of every five group of students.Or is anybody thinking otherwise?

ASUU Indicates Strike May Be Called Off Next week

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU)
has indicated that it may call off its indefinite strike
next week.

The Academic Union hinted after several
agreements were reached with the federal
government during talks which resumed today.
After hours of talks behind closed doors, the
chairman of the 19-man committee, Governor
Gabriel Suswam said it had resolved many of the outstanding issues with the ASUU except two
which would be tackled at a resumed meeting
next week.

will work assiduously to wipe out all issues that
have led to strikes for several decades as well as
enhance the internally generated revenue base of
all public universities in the country.

This has made me to go for another research cuz I dont wanna wake up one morning & read anything about anyone who died of BP .

Generally, It seems Nairaland is the abode of most aspirants, tried also..but it's so so difficult looking for Uniben aspirants on the web. Even the facebook fanpage that was highly populated last year is nothing to write home about.. Is it that this year's aspirants are not exposed to social networking sites? Or they are choosing to stay away cuz they feel 'their score isn't good enough' hence resigned to fate? Or what really is the problem here?

Anyways, concerning this issue of 'cut off'.. I thought it best for us to address it once n for all.. It's not as if whatever we decide on is what will be used..but there are needs why we should.

'Cuz no matter how much we try to elude from it.. It's always gon' pop up.. People are anxious. They wanna know where they stand.. So, why not go for it?

Personally, I think LAW would have the highest cutoff... Not medicine. In LAW, the highest I've seen now is 87 in screening & 73 aggregate. And there are so many 80-something..ranging from 83..to 84...etc. But the aggregate score is what set most people apart due to JAMB performance.

In Medicine, the Highest I've heard of should fall within the range of 70 or so. (I'm purposely stopping here in Medicine cuz I no want make people chop my skull)

Then ENGINEERING, do we really need to talk about that? If you score 50(especially as Screening as well as aggregate), just know you've been admitted.. But the bone of contention is... 'What course am I getting?' .I saw some really remarkable improvement compared to Last year... I've seen 59 in Screening n Aggregate. Haven't seen 60 tho' but if you got 60. Then your name don dey Merit list be that

Economics&Statistics.. Last year's cutoff was around 60 or so.. it's as if same pattern used for Law was also used for this particular course, same with MASSCOMM, ACCOUNTACY..I'm talking about last year o!

but this year, I haven't seen much scores sha.. Just 2 or 3 persons..be like all the eco&stat pple scarce. Or them no really plenty. But with the few scores I've seen,I think last year's general performance was better. Thus, the cutoff for this year might be SLIGHTLY REDUCED.


And please please please, when I'm talking about cutoff.. It's not just your aggregate Uniben looks at.. They also look at your screening score especially in the Merit List (First Batch). I've talked about this before in previous posts. Repeating it would only make this 'epistle' longer.

Like I mentioned earlier on, I want EVERYONE of us to do this together. That's why I was never precise about any cutoff..most especially for LAW and Medicine.


Above all the shiiiiiiii I've typed, I made one very shocking discovery... Last year was crazy...right? People scored high but weren't admitted...right? But view the Pictures below. And NO! I'm not giving anyone false hope or whatever it may seem. But just felt like sharing it withYou.

Always remember my analogy about ManUtd..Chelsea. Every department get e own matter, every local govt get e own.. Every state get e own.. Every score get e own.
