This is waste of scarce resources that are not available. Why can't we just have one Foreign minister? Minister I and II will have individual offices, personal assistants, convoy, official houses, etc. All these costs the country a lot of resources.

Politics / Biden, US VP Calls Jonathan, Backs Use Of Card Reader by asala1: 11:10am On Mar 19, 2015
Joe Biden, vice president of the United States, on Wednesday spoke with President Goodluck Jonathan on the 2015 general election, which was rescheduled for March 28 and April 11.
He expressed support for the use of card readers by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the elections, according to a statement issued by the United States Diplomatic Mission to Nigeria.
Biden also expressed “concern” about recent political violence in the country and “reiterated” the need for Jonathan, the candidate of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to condemn it.

The full text:
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden spoke yesterday with Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the Nigerian presidential election, which is scheduled for March 28.
The Vice President commended President Jonathan and General Buhari for signing the Abuja Accord in mid-January as a show of their commitment to non-violence throughout the election process.
The Vice President further expressed the United States’ support for the Nigerian Independent National Electoral Commission and its work to deliver free, fair, and credible elections, in part through its essential efforts to distribute Permanent Voter Cards and help ensure that electronic voter card readers are in place and fully operational.
He also noted his concern about the violence during some recent election-related events and reiterated the need for both candidates to make clear that such violence has no place in democratic elections.
Vice President Biden affirmed that the United States stands with the Nigerian people in support of credible and peaceful elections, and will continue to stand with the Nigerian people whatever the outcome.

please be realistic for once.... apart from kano, katsina apc has no stronghold.....
in south west we are having a close tie there....
in middle belt I see 55/45 for whoever wins or loose same in north east.... in south south nd south east Pdp undisputed hold.... stop creating impressions that apc has an undisputed stronghold..... have u been to taraba, admawa aside yola... have u been to gombe south and discover apc will loose there woefully.... start campaigning and stop creating false impression that you have any stronghold... Thanks...

Why will the incumbent government be scared of using the card reader? I don't just understand it. Is that they foresee that rigging will be difficult?

Enugu might be older than most states presently but when compared with its age mates, kaduna, ibadan, Benin,Enugu seems to be doing better than any of them.

You should be crazy to mention Enugu and Kaduna not to talk of Ibadan in same sentence. Forget all this una igbo hype about Enugu. These two states are not in same league with Enugu in all ramifications.

Are you dreaming, how many times do you see this kind of robbery in Lagos.
Unlike a Kano under BK siege.

The truth is that Lagos as a city is more unsafe as compared to Kano.

occational bomblast in Kano? ,,,,,what of borno, yobe and adamawa

Just like I tell people where I am now outside Nigeria that's many people living in the southern part of Nigeria have never had any encounter with BH and just hear the news just as we also hear them here but they cannot understand. It is same for you.

People living in Kano, Borno, Adamawa would look at this and issss,,,,
The fact that this kind of incident is nothing sewious means we are in trouble
Why are people desecrating the memories of this poor soul by snapping their dead bodies and uploading it?

I don't believe Kano is more violent than Lagos expect the occasional bomb blast. I have lived in both cities.

[s][/s]Is this all you can say about what one bastard from Yorubaland said?.
Truth is,the world is watching.
As an external observer,an Igbo vs Yoruba will do harm across board, but the far worst destruction will be on Yorubas.we can argue that.

I can't argue.

Like Alfred Adler said "Exaggerated sensitiveness is an expression of the feeling of inferiority." The Igbo people have to move one, so many wars have occurred and people involved have moved on. The Germans lost the World war, they have moved on. That is life.

To get over sensitive on things like this doesn't help. The African-Americans with all their over reacting to things haven't help them a bit, the whites just don't care, they don't even count it as anything. Same with other tribes in Nigeria, no one cares about all these things except the Igbos. If you do exactly this type of thing on any radio or TV channel in Ibadan, I surely believe you won't see it on Nairaland. I am not justifying what that person did as it is bad and bigotry.

Nigeria as of today is interwoven, there are more Igbo in Kano alone than most of the states in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria doing their business, same in Lagos, Kaduna, Port-harcouurt, Ibadan, etc. Bringing out tribal sentiment and over exaggerating what a bigot says will only make things worse.

Every tribe or region I believe have the freedom to fight for sovereignty but just like a divorce, all party will feel the pain. I won't argue who will feel it more but if at the end of the day we all go our separate ways, very tribe will eventually survive.

I will liken the Igbo people of Nigeria to the African-Americans, they exhibit the same traits which I believe is INFERIORITY COMPLEX and just like the African-Americans it is deeply psychological. You guys need to move on.
