“We are in the state because we were told that we are one country. However, if this policy has changed, the Federal Government should feel free to inform us, so that we can leave the state in peace”, Idika said. Tobias if you believe that you can believe that as i am typing now i am micheal jakson. |

Kobojunkie: I am going to say that on the majority, the answer is NO. This one seems more concerned about getting at companies for hiring Indians and insulting those who question his stance, than actually understanding the problem and reason for the increase in number of foreigners in Nigeria. Fhemmmy: The problem has been since the beginning and will forever be. Nigerians will forever wanna use foreigners thinking that they are the best, although, i must admit, in some cases, they are very good, but i will expect the govt to do something about it, the coys would hire this foreigners on a contract to train Nigerians and keep them around for few months later after which some could let go and very few kept. However, the govt dont give a damn, as long as they are making their own money. I have always believed and i stand to be corrected that 'Most nigerians see nigeria as an enterprise to make money from and NOT a country to build and serve because there is no feeling of nationhood amongst its people'Until the above mentality changes nothing will change in nigeria.Quoting from an article i was just reading "If anyone believes that Nigeria will wobble and fumble (a la Fanny Amun!) into greatness, then I leave you alone to perish as a nonentity who only came to this world to look at Eko Bridge. (Or London bridge)" |

Epiphany: God help us, this is how problems in countries begin! How will the country survive without crude oil? Even if they finally realize that they need to focus on other income earners, it will not take a day or even a year to achieve this! How was 'nigeria surviving' before oil was discoverd? |

Kobojunkie: As much as I hate to say it, the man is right. I remember engaging some of our "enlightened heads on Nairaland" a couple of months ago on the state of education in Nigeria. Since then, things have decayed even further with no resolution in sight. We need to, as soon as possible, do something about education in that country. It is definitely in the worst state ever. Nothing can be done until we realise that nigeria as a country in reality is non existent. |
