Politics › Re: Republic Of Kano State Is Now Official by asha80(m): 3:19pm On May 19, 2009
Dangiwa:
Well on this Issue, it is not a surprise that the law applicable in Kano state cannot be found else where in Nigeria.
This is a secret I must unleash out, If the reader don’t know, that Kano state in question is an out post of Niger Republic in Nigeria. Majority of those laying claim to Kano, Katsina, Jigawa,Yobe,Sokoto,Kebbi, Borno and Zamfara states; they all have their kinsmen in Niger Republic Especially the Hausa, Bugaje (Tuareg), Zabarama and others.
I am a Nigerian from the Northern part of Nigeria and I am not an Hausa by tribe, I am from Kebbi state, and I have had the opportunity to reside in Niger Republic among the Hausa there from Birnin-kwonin to Maradi, I have also traveled from Arlit down to Niamey in Niger Republic most of the families I stayed with have brother s and sisters working under federal civil service as a police, soldier or even other Para military, One thing I appreciate in them is that they return their harvest back home from the coffer of Nigeria's Un guided wealth.
Hausa are more of the Zionist who lay claim to other people land once you give them chance to settle for trade around for a period of time, the next thing you notice is the adoption of the name of your village, Town, or city as part of their name for instance imagine a name like Rabi at Agege, Aminu Zuru, Kamil Minna .
More so these sect of individual are given more right than other Nigerian on whose land the wealth of the land are gotten for them to feed on, " I once asked my boss why non-hausa are treated with disdain and open hatred( Because he does not hide his manner, he refers to all other person as KAFRI wether Muslim or non-Muslim except hausa man like him) ; His reply was Even if the white man has come to Africa to divide them, that they don’t see their selves as been divided.
Never the less let this sink into the head of who ever care to know: Ibo, Yoruba, Efik, Ibini, Ijaw, Igala and others not mentioned that the society of Nigeria is stratified society with the Hausa's has head and above the law and Constitution of Nigeria, Like wise There is nothing like Nigeria " There is only in existence dichotomy of individual settlement and Nigeria is the password any segment uses to lay claim to some privileges held by those on top.
More so let this sink into the head of who cares to know that no matter your level of worship in the Islamic pillar of faith an Hausa person still see you as not worthy or eligible to head them or even lead a jumat salat worship.
I have this to tell all complainant of "Kano whatever" that It just the case of white man and Black no matter the open paper policy a white man run on racism, it doesn't change the fact that they racist in nature and character to other race they see them as been inferior to them.
YOU COMPLAINANTS ARE INFERIOR TO THE HAUSA’S just leave them alone and continue to enjoy the atmosphere of eating your garri, amala what ever you eat.
Hausa's are racist that is who they are, and why would bunch of KAFRI be crying foul
Leave every thing to God as my tribesmen in Kebbi State have done, they see us as KAFRI, who don’t deserve any thing and they have successfully planted their selves among my people and bears the name of our villages and town.
Another way out is, to see any hausa man or woman as a indigene not settler and let them have right to all the political office in your area just like they wanted in JOS before they were prevented.
Last of all Kano remain the official capital of the Hausa republic, whether they are from Nigeria, Niger Republic, Cameroon, Benin Republic, Ghana and so on.

your wisdom is just being exposed in the fact that a tiny little place called bendel state can all of a sudden afford 3 airports. what are you talking about?

mr NL avation minister, when did you last use benin airport?   tell us who you think use benin airport if you dont mind?  what business is in benin?  how many flights go to benin from abuja and lagios daily and since you know care to tell me how many cancellations. cos i can.

can you tell the people what benin airport look like 2 mins after a flight.  what else sustains the airport.

you people come on NL talking about building airports like opening beer parlours.  this is nigeria that dont have good roads you are talking about here.  2 minutes from the airport by road each way are some of the most ridiculous pot holes you can get and you come here running your mouth 4th airport

i hate to say this but you guys are talking rubbish becos ibadan and lagos have  bigger business economy by turnover/ people how many airports do they have and you have the audacity to come here saying 1 tiny delta state having 2 airports.  can you hear yourself apart from the tribal glasses you guys on to justify these stupidity.

why not give every local govt  airports and aerodromes because you can spell it
Sorry if this sounds tribalistic but does ibadan have a bigger business economy than onitsha  huh

you are even dumber than i thought.

Many Yorubas always lost their lives in the north due to RELIGIOUS WARS. Recently, there were claims by Northerners that Christian tend to radiate success which they hated so much.

You even have no idea what is going on in the country, You dont have to post if you have no clue.

Nija deltans have been commiting all sorts recently, now when the JTF shows, they take to their heels.
they cant even act like men. they leave their women, old ppl, sons and daughters behind and run like chickens.

It is obviuos you say something in one post, you say the other in another post.

so you are for One Nigeria and you are totally in support of a section of the one nigeria clambering for resource control
which means they feel Nigeria is a country stealing their resource and you see that as one nigeria

what is the oil was in lagos? will these thugs not shut the hell off and eat the honey with Nigeria
they made it look like it was the labour of their forefather that brought the oil.

The reason the federal Govt is fighting them is cos they have always been treated fairly and they still wont be satisfied.
they go about kidnapping ppl in the area all for money hiding under the pretence of "fighting for the land"
Criminals.
Could it be that yorubas enjoy suffering undecided

This isnt the 1960 biafran war??, making an explosive device today is at everyone's finger tip, Same goes with making a deadly gas. The Yaradua shouldnt think the stones of aso rock can protect him anylonger or the thousand of troops count?
The Nigerian military still lives in the 60s they dont have the ability to fight an invincible war, for this reason mend can bring the FG to their kneels, especially if they take the war to Abuja. Like the palestine took their struggle to Israel in the late 90s/2000. FG will be needing more troops to protect the capital city.
FG should take the opening space they have right now to negiotiate and call for a SNC. Before mend put their reserve option into play, which will signal the end of Nigeria, suicide bombing will turn Nigeria into ash and when it begins it will be difficult to stop. because anyone that feels cheated then will strap him self and detonate.
Besides many of the those in the Nigerian army would gladly join mend if they had the opportunity they are tired of doing all the shootings and getting peanuts as salary while those in agbada seat in a room and share ghana-must-go bags full of naira.

MEND does not have the resources to take on the federal government in a full scale war. To worsen matter, the west would not intervene on their behalf, as they have made enemies of them
They should exercise caution, as it is a fine line between a militant pressure group and rebel forces.
Did biafra have the resources to fight when they did but sustained a war for 2+ years.Do not underestimate the power of self determination.

War in niger delta: MEND Threatens Northerners In Oil Industry
By Ofonime Umanah (Port Hrcourt) and Yemi Akintomide (Akure)

Umbrella body of the militants in the Niger Delta, Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), has sent out a chilling signal, threatening an impending attack on the Federal Government, and particularly, Northerners who occupy prominent positions in the oil industry.

"Our message to the Northern Sultans and Emirs is this: The period of exploiting the Niger Delta is coming to an end. It is not the birth right of your people to rule the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

"The war is just beginning and by the time it ends, Nigeria will practice true federalism such as fiscal federalism which will benefit the entire populace. Let your people brace themselves to develop their resources and such a bold change will be remembered," Jomo Gbomo, MEND's spokesman said in an electronic mail on Sunday.

The threat came a few hours after the Special Adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Budget, Austin Ngor, was kidnapped and moved to an unknown destination.

It was not clear what the demands of the kidnappers are, but the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Blessing Wikinaka, has warned them to free the man immediately as there was no just reason for his abduction.

Meanwhile, MEND two of the hostages in their custody killed "in the course of the war".

It said the remaining one has been relocated to an unnamed camp in Delta State.

MEND dared the security outfit, Joint Task Force (JTF), to destroy all its (MEND's) camps, which it said, were spread in many places across Niger Delta region.

The MEND's spokesman said, "The British hostage, Mr Matthew Maguire, has been relocated to Delta State and will be a guest of one of the camps there".

He added: "Nigerians should now brace up for the worst from the decisions of an incompetent leadership.

"The Niger Delta people who have endured injustice and genocide for over 50 years must be ready to fight for change as our destiny should not be in the hands of others but ourselves.

The group said it was embarrassed at the "performance of the Nigerian Armed Forces who performed like poorly trained amateurs by bombing indiscriminately into civilian communities using helicopter gunships and fighter jet planes.

"Civilians should have been allowed to leave the area before the attack. This simply has shown that the government is insensitive to the Niger Delta people.

"If the Army's mission was to also rescue the hostages, then that again was a botched and ridiculous attempt because the hostages were not at any immediate risk except for their temporary freedom.

"We regret to announce that two hostages have been killed by the indiscriminate shelling and two more are still in our custody.

"We are happy that all of them were not killed by the Army. The bodies of the dead men will be handed over to the Red Cross. MEND deeply regrets the avoidable deaths".

It denied claims that the Army captured a plane from one of its camps.

"If my memory serves me right, the plane in question is a toy remote controlled plane which can be purchased from any toy shop. It is rather shameful that they cannot distinguish the difference between a toy plane and a drone.

"As promised, we have begun nibbling again at the oil infrastructure. Already, two major trunk pipe and gas lines, which were recently repaired, have been blown up. This is just the tip of the series of attacks we plan to carry out.

"For the Nigerian government to declare victory, troops must be able to secure every inch of pipelines and eliminate the over 500 camps stretching from Ondo to Akwa Ibom.

"What the government has been successful in doing is committing genocide against the Ijaw communities whose offence, it seems, is discovering oil in their backyards," the group said

I would not really say I am being politically correct about it. Definitely Tribalism can be a problem but with what I have seen on Nairaland, in Nigeria and even here in the States, I think our problem is definitely beyond tribalism. It is more psychological than it is tribalism IMO. The way I see it is Tribalism and religion are here to stay. Now, if people were willing to get past their personal issues, then we would be fine. We are not the only country on the planet with different tribes having to live together and not all Nigerians who love their ethnicity feel they need to hate members of other tribes in order that they may proclaim love for theirs.
Let me tell u a story of an incident that happened in kubwa abuja.I was just ouside a friend's house when i saw a young boy of around 10 beating another of around 6 and shouting things like "useless i**o boy" and "i hate u o***o people".At first i did ignored the whole thing but it persisted that i had to call the 2 boys to find out what the issue was.I found out it was a normal small boy argument that brought up the beating. On asking the older one why he was making those comments while he was beating the boy he said that was what his father thought him.

I had to tell hom that his father was wrong that he should not be saying all those things. Now do you know the physochological impact this incident will have on the younger one?

This is the problem I have with the claim that Tribalism is our problem. I love my tribe, but I would not do what many of the buffoons on here do, never. Same with religion. I will die for what I believe but will I behave like many of the other religious morons on here do? NEVER!! why? Because, not that I am less tribalistic or less religious. Just that I do not have problems with myself as many of these people seem to.

I am thinking these problems stem more from psychological issues than anything else. Many are unable to deal with others not seeing things as they do, agreeing with them or even doing things their way. From north to south, that seems a constant. Even when you are amongst people of the same tribe, you notice almost immediately that the division does not end there, it is deeper than what we think.
I use to think myself of been neutral or been 'politically correct' about tribalism until i started travelling and living in different parts of nigeria.Believe me i have seen enough to know that tribalism is ONE of our problems in nigeria. The difference between europians and afrcans in general is the europian societies DEALTH with their ethnic issues squarely while us in africa try to WISH our own away.
Of course within the same ethnic group their are also divisions but somehow when faced with an 'outsider' the division seem to vanish.
