I think we should find a lasting solution for this waiting for salary issue every month end.
I suggest we adjust our item buying period to the middle of the month so that we relax month end or better still, budget for 2 or 3 months ahead.
Pls suggestions are welcome.

Dear salary earners like me, how do you manage your salary with the current economic situation and high cost of commodities (more than 50% and above), how do you cope.

1. Reduce spending,spend only when necesary
2. Use car only wen going out with family else use motocycle
3. Stay at home except wen extremely necesary to go out
4. Reduce meat qty or replace with egg or fish
5. Buy different/cheaper food stuff
6. Reduce amount of gifts giving
7. Try some small petty businesses at home
8. Buy stuffs in bulk

This what I keep saying about threads like this. Any discussion on mpg without average mph is meaningless.

I was able to move around during the last lockdown and did 16mpg with a particular vehicle. When the lockdown was eased and traffic returned, I'll have to be lucky to do 12mpg with same vehicle.

While it's actually possible that yours consumes more fuel than his it's also possible that you just drive in more traffic than he does.

You should confirm that before

Well i think you may be right because i drive within the town, may be on highway it may b less. i think i will try to check its mpg on highway b4 attemting anything.

I hear folks say, a certain car has good fuel economy. Funny thing is that the same folks do not know the actual consuption on the car in Km/l or Km/g or mile/g. The gallon thing is confusing because there is the US GALLON (3.785L) and BRITISH GALLON (4.5L).
Someone may say, I go to and fro work a week on full tank. Such data doesn't help.
I use a Honda 2000 vtech (Honda Adidas). She does 8km/litre or 240km/30liters (30liters = half tank) with the AC on. Is this good?

Very interesting, i have the same car but mine deos 6.4km/ltr without ac on. just baught it last month,pls any help on how to improve the fuel economy. me thinks that it shld do more than that.

Comrades relax ippis could pay you even during weekends or later in the evening today.... October salaries but not with arrears the arrears will be paid separately because the ippis has to get the details of all staff captured from the various bursary departments of the universities and polytechnics and use it to prepare the arrears:
As long as you are on ippis your details are already with them but they just want to make sure it is in order according to the financial regulations guarding it.... Remember due process have to be followed appropriately and effected as a standing order to clear fti arrears has already been approved by the Federal government....
