WHAT IS GRACE?

Before I go further , let me state in plain terms the meaning of the word grace.
It means to show favour to an individual . It means for an individual to find acceptance.
It means to be found pleasant in the eyes of a superior. It means goodwill towards a person. It means to be well and do well in a thing . Grace is that thing that makes for joyous experiences in a person's life.

So, let's now begin to look at how we can put ourselves in that position for grace.

Proverbs 14:35 says" The King's favour is towards a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame"

What this scripture tells us here, is that the kings favour, the kings acceptance, his goodwill , his pleasure flows towards the servant or individual that is wise or acts wisely. It's telling us that the servant who acts wisely finds grace. He finds favour.

However, it also tells us that the one who causes shame finds the kings anger instead. This verse of Scripture and others as we shall see, show us that the subject of grace, favour, is not a game of luck which man has nothing to do with.

There is grace, there is favour towards the one that is wise, to the one that acts wisely, but to act wisely, to be able to take wise steps, we need to know, we need to be rightly informed. We cannot be ignorant.

His story is seen in LK 18:
He was blind, possibly from birth. He was brought to a spot by the roadside where he begged daily.

One day , he heard a crowd of people moving along the street. Because he couldn't see, he didn't know what the crowd was all about. Nobody bothered to tell him anything either. He however took the initiative to ask from those milling around him what was going on, he asked what the noise was all about.
He was then told it was Jesus of Nazareth that was passing by.
The rest as they say is history. With that singular information, armed with that knowledge, he immediately swung into action shouting - " thou son of David have mercy on me "


If he didn't ask, if he didn't pursue the knowledge of what was going on around him, he would never have known and would have sat there quietly and ignorantly while the solution to his problem passed him by.
But as he called for help, people shouted him down telling him to keep quiet, but he screamed the more.
All of a sudden Christ stops, Christ hears and responds to his desperate call for help and commands that he be brought to him.
He asks him what he wants, Bartimeaus says he wants to see. His request is granted. His sight is given.

Grace is at work. God did for him what he could not do for himself, he opened his eyes, but it all began by Bartimeaus first doing what he could do for himself . This is what working grace is all about.

I will, by the help and insight of the Holy Spirit, be sharing with you, a number of truths and insights that would help make the coming year 2018 a new year for you indeed.
The reason I say this is because unfortunately, many people mistake a new date for a new year. We must understand that there is a difference between a new year and a new date. One is personal, the other is general. A new date is general, it's theoretical, it's automatic, it requires no effort or participation on your part, it would happen for you and everyone else without doing anything, as long as you are alive, you'll get the new date, free of charge, costing you nothing. However, a new year is differnt.

The new year is personal. It is practical. It is not guaranteed to everybody, though is available for everybody. You have to secure it by yourself. It requires your participation, your input, your contribution, it will requires some effort on your part. It's your personal responsibility. The new year refers to new things and new experiences taking place in your life, things you didn't have before, and this is why it is called new. It's an exit from something old in your life and an entrance into something new. It's referring to an inflow of new blessings, new doors of opportunity being opened to you, it's referring to the emergence of new relationships, strategic relationships that connect you to destiny.

For you, maybe it's a new relationship that would completely erase the pain of the old and tears of the past. For you, maybe it's a new job that more than compensates for all the labours and sacrifice in a former job that weren't rewarded. For someone else, it could be a new company of friends that would be true, faithful and sincere, that would heal all the pain of the stab wounds you've been carrying on your back. All these things and all such blessings don't just happen in the life of an individual because the figures on a calender are now different. I'm sure, you are smart enough to realise that.


Because the date, that is the figures of a calender have changed to something new, does not mean that other things will be new. It doesn't mean automatically, the days, weeks and months will be any different from anything previous even though they can.

The good news is that the days, the weeks and months of 2018 can be different and will be different once the right steps are understood and taken.
This is what we will be talking about.
A new experience is possible.
A new year is possible.

A first practical step towards the new, is to avoid the bandwagon effect where people, leaving things to mere chance , just assume that a new date for everybody means a new experience for everybody.

The new experience, the new year, involves steps that are taken by men before moves that are made by God.
Remember, the new date is general, is free for all, is theoretical and comes at no cost, but the new year is personal, practical and with a price tag. In this series, we will be looking at how YOU can have a new year in reality and not just in theory.

Disgraced former Zimbabwe First Lady Grace Mugabe made a shocking divorce threat during negotiations that led to her husband’s resignation.

Sources close to Robert and Grace Mugabe confirm that openly told Mugabe that she would file for divorce after the ousted nonagenarian leader wept uncontrollably saying he misses late wife Sally Hayfron and late son Nhamodzenyika.
