So why has Binance agreed to work with the federal government to stop the trading and manipulation of naira on the platform? Or havent you seen that in the news?

So who is ignorant here?

Post a screenshot of the trading volume of NGN/USDT on Binance in the last 30 days, and tell us how that amount will 'manipulate the naira'

Oga, blocking of binance is not intended to plunge naira price, it was done to stop Naira from further fall.

Is it only politicians that hoard dollar?

What about BDCs, Business moguls, Government officials, Bank managers, Mda heads and so on?

You actually sound really clueless to realize that the forces against the Naira is beyound the control of the CBN. The central bank is dealing with a very greedy and wicked market here.

It is this ignorance for me.

What is the average monthly volume of USDT/NGN transactions on Binance?

Please post a screenshot from your own app. The blockchain is public afterall.

I dont really have much idea about orientation. I have not mounted it on my roof yet. I just placed it outside for now. I want to add one more 550w to it before I put it on the roof. The wire length from the panel to my MPPT charge controller is 10yards. I am using a 6mm pure copper wire. The panel current is rated for 13A under loads. To troubleshoot if it was my wire that was the problem, I actually took both my controller and my battery close to the panel and ran the original panel wire straight from the panel to the controller and I was still getting 275, 280W max at peak sunlight. So I dont think it is my wire. It is a single 550w Jinko Panel bought directly from Foauni stores.
Here is the picture of where I placed it. There is no shading at all. Ignore those other two panels. Those were the first 300w panels I bought. Those ones too are giving me 100W max per panel. So I have been wondering what is the problem. Lets assume those 300w are fake panels, this Jinko 550w is definitely original as Foauni store does not sell fake things.

You won't get 50% output from those panels this period.

Everyone is reporting much degraded output.
Used to get nameplate, now max out at 45% ish

Run these checks in 3 - 4 weeks when the bloody Harmattan is done

Business / Re: Can't Send Dollars To Nigeria Any More by AshipaEk0: 1:20pm On Feb 09
Good lord,

It has become very apparent that this country cannot progress when the average individual is this ignorant about financial matters and economics

Some believe dollars is sitting down in bank accounts gathering dust

others believe when Dollars is sent from abroad through banks its the physical dollars that is mailed in

others believe when the govt requires conversion of remittances to naira, it means the banks will actually receive dollars they they will in turn dash the govt or random people asking for USD in Nigeria

Good lord

Seires issue.
Like all the socket in the house still have smalls
Current even when the socket is off, and it's making devices like phone and laptop misbehave when plgged in while using.
I discovered this only happens when solar is charging, (the inverter is an hybrid) it works well if Solar breaker is off or it's night already . I know getting an external charge controller will fix the issue. But I'd like to get to the root of this issue at hand

Please take an experienced and professional electrician to that site to troubleshoot for you.

you are having current leakage, and clearly unable to trace the issue.

Also consider the presence or absence of grounding and how it affects that install.

and if you had included breakers and SPDs in that installation it would have made your tracing far easier.

get help from someone more experienced than you.

Please, let's put Valto in prayers. He is seriously sick and has little access his phones

Meanwhile, I got one of Valto's battery (12v 135ah with Bluetooth enabled BMS) for a friend last year, and the guy has really been enjoying the battery.

But for about a week, there has been an issue. Previously, it was cutting off power supply at 30%, probably to protect the battery, and our expectation was that the cut-off period would reduce with more usage. It did reduce to 20-something, but recently it cuts off at 62%, giving just a few hours of use. Below are screenshots of the BMS interface on his phone.

Is anyone experiencing this? And how did you resolve it? The guy really needs an update

Install the Overkill Solar app on android

use it to reset the BMS to defaults.

I'm sure you can figure your way around the app. Load the correct default preset for the pack (number of cells) and write it to the BMS

Please I'm trying to split the output of a LNB to 2 receivers.

1 decoder, 1 satellite TV

I've tried a 4 way splitter

Neither works. It seems only 1 receiver can work at a time

What am I doing wrong?

It's chupez usb 3G modem. Nairaland is difficult to upload photo
I want to use it on my linux pc(ubuntu)

while using it with windows pc, it installed a .exe file to commicate with the modem. Kind of like admin portal to monitor speed, see messages, etc. What i planned to do was get the .exe and ran it as a software on linux through wine to commicate with the chupez modem.

Alright.

On Linux/Ubuntu you do not need a dedicated app to use a supported USB modem.

The network manager will handle that with no issue.

So what you will do is plug in your modem, open up a terminal and type

lsusb

it should give you an output of all usb devices recognized by the computer, including your modem

at the top right hand corner of your desktop where you see small icons such as your speaker, wifi etc, you can access your Network Manager there, or go into Settings, Network. You should see the modem there ready to setup

All you have to do is set the Access Point and connect.

If you have any issues with the above, or your modem is not automatically recognized, post the output of that lsusb command so we can see what type of modem radio it has.

Have anyone try using Windows USB modem with Wine in Linux?

You mind sharing your experience and how you did it? smiley

You have a USB (Internet) modem that you wish to use with Linux?

3G or 4G type of USB modems like in the attached picture?

If thats the case, its use has nothing to do with Windows or Wine.

They work natively

let us know the type of modem, brand and model number

Got a queer question please.

Is there any way to connect/soldier a UPS or car battery directly to the motherboard of regular AC phone chargers and it'll work?

I want to charge phone directly from battery bypassing need for inverter, but there fear the battery may blow the phone

It's the charger that will blow, not the phone

Used to do this with a phone (car) charger the.type you plug into the cigarette lighter port. They are usually 12v

Had those crocodile clips that come with generators to connect the 12 V car battery to the charger.

NB that was a loooong time ago, I was young and foolish in school
