Romance / Re: My Girlfriend Asked Me To Tell My Mum To Remarry & I Have Lost Confidence In Her by AshipaEk0: 10:32pm On Jul 04, 2020
Mvici:
I Lost Confidence In My Girlfriend The Moment She Asked Me To Marry For My Mother.

I had a girlfriend some few months back before the covid 19 outbreak, that was after we went home from school due to the strike and the pandemic, we both are in the same school which is IBB university lapai, in our final.

So at home this faithful day, I put a call through! We both were talking, laughing on phone, so she ask about my mum, I said she was fine and she now ask abt her loneliness because no one at home, I told her but I'm still here with her, she ask what if school resume and what if we should go for our service next year, she now told me to marry another man for my mum.... lol... telling me who knows" that my mum might like the idea if I should table it with her. Gosh! I actually laughed about it then on phone with her but inside me, it wasn't funny at all.

The next day, what she told me was still bordering me, so many things were just running on my mind...so even if by mistake I wife her in future and the Lord decide to take me when we have a grown up child like me, who is planning on becoming a graduate this year and have even spent 30 years in marriage already....she won't even mourn me for long before accepting another man's proposal or bleeping with another man or probably her one time ex.

I decided to ask my mum with play, mum be sincere to me, you and my dad have been married since far back 1986... U both were in marriage for about 30 yrs before he past away few years ago, may his soul rest in peace..this is 5yrs now are you considering on marrying any one or having any kind of body movement or even can stand the presence of another man in your life?

Guess what her reply was....
Mum said my dad was the only man she know in her life and that's how it going to remain by God grace, period! and I shouldn't ask her such again with cry/smiles on her face because she has me and I will give her groundchil........

Seriously I don't know why I brought this here but pls tell me, any girl that can ask a 52 Year old woman to re_marry even after she has a child, isn't it clear that she can't stay without having sex to anyone as long as her husband is on a peace keeping mission or even travel abroad?

Thanks everyone.

You are a big fool.

a child in a man's body.

I need first hand views on running guest OSes in Virtual Box

Is this a feasible idea these days?

Last i tried Virtualbox a few years ago, the performance was too poor, especially graphics wise. couldn't run any sort of games in a VM for instance, no matter how much resources was available to the VM

I've had decent performance with KVM instead of using virtualbox or VMware

Please I bought one Dell Latitude from a Nairaland vendor, well packaged lemon.

After 4 days of barely any use, I discovered it wouldn't power on.

It would just be blinking the power button LED only.

It would eventually come on after 2 days, and work normally for a day, then repeat the same thing.

Fellow has refused to replace the laptop or refund.

Anyway, does anyone know what could be wrong with the device? It won't power at all so I can't even get to bios.

I've tried removing all components from board, but no difference. I was told it's a common Dell problem.

Beware of Nairaland sellers o.

Hello Gentlemen,

My apartment has this issue where literally all the appliances have small current on the bodies, especially the ones made with metal.

They zap you with small electricity when you touch them.

I've been told its because the building isn't earthed.

Please is there something i can do to help the situation, other than doing the earthing rod stuff. its a rented place

There's MTN Lumos . Also there's other easy DIY processes that those with little education can put together. Eg buying these 3.2V LFP cells and getting busbars and BMS does not exactly require an engineering degree to put it together grin

MTN Lumos is a product of ignorance and a failed product clearly.

compare it with this one in the video grin this is a proper setup.

This will replace a small generator easily with no need for the owner to even know how it works

How many people buy generators and even know anything about it beyond pouring fuel. Thats the type of person i mean. If you know about cells and bus bar, you are not in that demographic

When companies start building these things in portable packages like this without fancy needs, with clear ratings and capacities with protection.

One can imagine them coming in sizes and capacities like petrol generators.

then RE will gain proper traction in poor Africa

These fancy setups and builds that require Engineering degrees that you enthusiasts are doing are not the way forward for mass adoption grin grin grin grin

Then solar panels will be a standard feature in houses and you'll just bring your own gen and plug it in to charge

I am scared to place order for the sand paper, sanding and buffing bits. They are only available on Jumia Global or AliExpress which will take forever due to the lockdown.

If I can get local options, I will proceed right away.

sand paper shouldn't be a problem to get locally no matter the grade

Go ye forth into the market and ye shall surely find.

if in doubt, ask carpentry workers for directions to where you can get
