Please I'm trying to split the output of a LNB to 2 receivers.

1 decoder, 1 satellite TV

I've tried a 4 way splitter

Neither works. It seems only 1 receiver can work at a time

What am I doing wrong?

I want to use it on my linux pc(ubuntu)

while using it with windows pc, it installed a .exe file to commicate with the modem. Kind of like admin portal to monitor speed, see messages, etc. What i planned to do was get the .exe and ran it as a software on linux through wine to commicate with the chupez modem.

Alright.

On Linux/Ubuntu you do not need a dedicated app to use a supported USB modem.

The network manager will handle that with no issue.

So what you will do is plug in your modem, open up a terminal and type

lsusb



it should give you an output of all usb devices recognized by the computer, including your modem


at the top right hand corner of your desktop where you see small icons such as your speaker, wifi etc, you can access your Network Manager there, or go into Settings, Network. You should see the modem there ready to setup

All you have to do is set the Access Point and connect.


If you have any issues with the above, or your modem is not automatically recognized, post the output of that lsusb command so we can see what type of modem radio it has.

If thats the case, its use has nothing to do with Windows or Wine.

Is there any way to connect/soldier a UPS or car battery directly to the motherboard of regular AC phone chargers and it'll work?

I want to charge phone directly from battery bypassing need for inverter, but there fear the battery may blow the phone

It's the charger that will blow, not the phone


Used to do this with a phone (car) charger the.type you plug into the cigarette lighter port. They are usually 12v

Had those crocodile clips that come with generators to connect the 12 V car battery to the charger.

Thursday after replacing left side hub assembly , now the steering refuses to center back when yiu make a turn it won't return like before also there's a noise when you turn the steering sometimes and it feels harder especially from rest

Did you run an Alignment and Wheel Balancing after the repairs?

Take the vehicle to a professional Alignment shop like Bomaco where they have car lifts to do alignment and wheel balancing.

Added bonus if you have wheel issues its very likely to be spotted.

If the vehicle is an old fashioned power steering pump that has a can for steering oil, you should drive around a bit with your cap of the power steering oil can open to ensure the system is bled properly

You think a newbie that doesn't know much should buy expensive wet cell battery that they need to nurse, maintain charge, limit discharge, top off and balance monthly and thats better than buying Lithium packs that they can literally install and forget, discharge deeply and will have a longer life span.

Especially considering how the market is flooded with cfakes and rebadged batteries, and their lifespan outside of strict management

because they will have 'learnt something' along the way. learn something by throwing away 300k plus on batteries

I've not been able to open/run any of my installed browsers on my Ubuntu 22.10 Os for almost a week now. Each time I try to open a browser, it just doesn't respond. So, I tried running it from the terminal, which returned BAD DUMP. This is peculiar to only the browsers on the system, while every other apps are working fine. I have Chrome, Chromium, Brave and Firefox browsers all were affected.

Pls any ideas on how to resolve this challenge?

Start the browser in terminal and post the full logs

I'm always mystified how/why motorized setups never took off for small dish installations in this country.

I guess the technical limitations are an issue
