Nigerian Navy Ship NNS KADA today set sail on an ECOWAS peacekeeping operation moving military equipment to the Nigerian contingent in Guinea Bissau.

The mission is part of Nigeria’s effort in strengthening and enhancing security in the West African Sub-region.

Sister ship of NNS Kada will join the fleet in 2 years time.

Dumb move buying loss making banks in a very competitive market like Kenya.Meanwhile DRC with 100m people and Ethiopia with same...that size of Nigeria are opening up.
Not all of them are losses stop the excuses; besides we have to revitalize your struggling native sector. wink

Size has nothing to do with it so using those dumpster fire countries as examples wasn’t a good idea on your part. grin

Since you want to go that route though Nigeria has already been buying up, partnering with, or opening up banks in those countries for years as we do all over Africa. We even got ROs all over the globe one our most recent ventures being Dubai.

Nigerian Banks are continuing to buy out Kenyan as well as many other Banks from around the Africa. This will be Nigeria’s Access Banks second takeover of a Kenyan Bank since there purchase of Kenyans Transitional Bank back in 2020. Access Bank is one of many Nigerian banks buying up the scene in Kenya.

Access Bank is set to acquire Kenyan Sidian Bank by buying out the entire stake of Centum Investment in the bank for $36.7 million (Ksh 4.3 billion). When the deal goes through, this will be the Nigerian bank’s second acquisition in the Kenyan market.

NAIROBI (Reuters) - Kenya’s Centum Investment Co. Plc said on Tuesday it had agreed to sell its 83.4% stake in Kenya’s Sidian Bank to Nigeria’s Access Bank for 4.3 billion shillings ($36.8 million).

The Nigerian lender has closed several buyout deals in Africa recently, including the acquisition of South Africa’s Grobank and loss-making Cavmont Bank from the Zambian arm of Namibian financial services group Capricorn.

WE DON'T CARE!!!, all we want to see is WAR.
Since 1945 it's been 77 years since we watched a world war. I already got my popcorn and Johnny Walker ready only to be stunned by "China's No-response" to Pelosi's visit.

Mr Xi Qingping should not be afraid of adverse effects to their economy China already has BRICS to the rescue. And I'm damn sure Russia, North Korea and Iran is ready to have China's back if a confrontation with U.S troops occurs. Even Syria would be more than happy to donate Terrorists
BRICS is nothing but a dialogue these days and Russia’s economy is in shambles. BRICS cannot fill anywhere close to the void the EU and US markets would leave behind. A serious confrontation between NATO and nato friendly troops would result in the eventual annihilation of the Russian, Chinese, North Korea, Iranian, and Syrian armed forces at land and most definitely at sea. It would be long and bloody for both sides skirmish but that’ll be the end result.

Exnavyboy62:
As far as we Africans are not involved, then there's no need to worry. The world powers are happy we in Africa are having terrorism problems because they are making money from the weapons we buy from them and the training we receive from them. So why shouldn't I be eager for the Big Boys to be at war, as a Nigerian I'm happy it will be at our advantage of making money from oil and gas that will be used to power their military vehicles, ships and aircrafts.
Sooo take a chill bro, grab your popcorn and Hennessy and let's enjoy the show grin
Very true but don’t forget Neo-Colonialism. Anti-French sentiment is popping off in West Africa these days.

Hoping for a war will never not be bleeped up though. wink

You know of the food [and energy] crisis in the world right now?

Africa is vulnerable to the shocks from outside the continent. It takes less for us to descend into chaos

Where is nemesis4you, I ought to follow him to space
Africa has everything it needs to function near completely self-sufficiently. All it needs is better independent mindsets, policies, development, and more complex continental trade.

Even in its current sad state should things go hot to the north and east; Africa could leverage itself into a position where it could come out of a post-WW3 World as a Beacon of Salvation and a dynamic faction on the AFRO-EURASIAN continent as well become a strong, resilient, and influential player.

A good example of this is Nigeria and various other African nations taking advantage of the oil, gas, fertilizer, and other resource demands. Deal to both sides. In this position Africa can leverage fairer trade deals. Eliminate Neo colonialism and overthrow clowns, muppets, and puppets while the contributors are to distracted.

Grow in power while the rest of the world; especially the Afro-Eurasian continent(Old World) is exhausting energy deleting themselves in a giga conflict.

There is no official cooperation between the ROC military and the Japanese Self Defense Force (JSDF). The JSDF has sent observers to the digital part of the annual Han Kuang Exercise.[45] New Japanese military legislation came into effect in 2016, allowing deployment to defend a regional ally under attack. This is thought to be primarily legislation for Japan to deploy to Taiwan in an event of an attack on Taiwan, which in turn threatens Japanese security in its southern islands. who can explain this more better.
An attack on Taiwan that pulls in Japan and other Pacific countries would essentially put China and Russia should they officially ally or assist them in any way into the position of the axis powers of WW2. Which means that pretty much they’d be at war with “The Rest of the World" in some compacity.

Of course this wouldn’t literally happen it would be more like China and possibly Russia, N.Korea, & Iran vs the far more “developed world" and semi-developed world. Sub Saharan Africa and to a lesser extent South America would be the only regions not getting directly involved but even they would condemn China’s actions and South America is more likely to side with the West since there kin economically dominate Latin America.

It would be a devastating conventional conflict assuming WMDs don’t get involved but in the end China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea will lose.
