rvp20182:Not all of them are losses stop the excuses; besides we have to revitalize your struggling native sector. ![]() Size has nothing to do with it so using those dumpster fire countries as examples wasn’t a good idea on your part. ![]() Since you want to go that route though Nigeria has already been buying up, partnering with, or opening up banks in those countries for years as we do all over Africa. We even got ROs all over the globe one our most recent ventures being Dubai. https://www.reuters.com/article/sidian-m-a-access-bank/kenyas-centum-to-sell-sidian-bank-stake-to-nigerias-access-bank-idUSKBN2NO1R7 Nigerian Banks are continuing to buy out Kenyan as well as many other Banks from around the Africa. This will be Nigeria’s Access Banks second takeover of a Kenyan Bank since there purchase of Kenyans Transitional Bank back in 2020. Access Bank is one of many Nigerian banks buying up the scene in Kenya. Access Bank is set to acquire Kenyan Sidian Bank by buying out the entire stake of Centum Investment in the bank for $36.7 million (Ksh 4.3 billion). When the deal goes through, this will be the Nigerian bank’s second acquisition in the Kenyan market. NAIROBI (Reuters) - Kenya’s Centum Investment Co. Plc said on Tuesday it had agreed to sell its 83.4% stake in Kenya’s Sidian Bank to Nigeria’s Access Bank for 4.3 billion shillings ($36.8 million). The Nigerian lender has closed several buyout deals in Africa recently, including the acquisition of South Africa’s Grobank and loss-making Cavmont Bank from the Zambian arm of Namibian financial services group Capricorn. |
Exnavyboy62:BRICS is nothing but a dialogue these days and Russia’s economy is in shambles. BRICS cannot fill anywhere close to the void the EU and US markets would leave behind. A serious confrontation between NATO and nato friendly troops would result in the eventual annihilation of the Russian, Chinese, North Korea, Iranian, and Syrian armed forces at land and most definitely at sea. It would be long and bloody for both sides skirmish but that’ll be the end result. Exnavyboy62:Very true but don’t forget Neo-Colonialism. Anti-French sentiment is popping off in West Africa these days. Hoping for a war will never not be bleeped up though. ![]() |
Odunayaw:Africa has everything it needs to function near completely self-sufficiently. All it needs is better independent mindsets, policies, development, and more complex continental trade. Even in its current sad state should things go hot to the north and east; Africa could leverage itself into a position where it could come out of a post-WW3 World as a Beacon of Salvation and a dynamic faction on the AFRO-EURASIAN continent as well become a strong, resilient, and influential player. A good example of this is Nigeria and various other African nations taking advantage of the oil, gas, fertilizer, and other resource demands. Deal to both sides. In this position Africa can leverage fairer trade deals. Eliminate Neo colonialism and overthrow clowns, muppets, and puppets while the contributors are to distracted. Grow in power while the rest of the world; especially the Afro-Eurasian continent(Old World) is exhausting energy deleting themselves in a giga conflict. |
Faithti:An attack on Taiwan that pulls in Japan and other Pacific countries would essentially put China and Russia should they officially ally or assist them in any way into the position of the axis powers of WW2. Which means that pretty much they’d be at war with “The Rest of the World" in some compacity. Of course this wouldn’t literally happen it would be more like China and possibly Russia, N.Korea, & Iran vs the far more “developed world" and semi-developed world. Sub Saharan Africa and to a lesser extent South America would be the only regions not getting directly involved but even they would condemn China’s actions and South America is more likely to side with the West since there kin economically dominate Latin America. It would be a devastating conventional conflict assuming WMDs don’t get involved but in the end China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea will lose. |
Bloodofthelambo:I supposedly typed “nonsense” yet everything I posted can be backed up by easily accessible facts. To add on to that you couldn’t provide a proper rebuttal disproving a thing I said. Also you can’t like your own comment smoothbrain. Get out of hurt feelings because facts don’t care about them. Next time make sure you have a proper comprehension of what’s said before you make yourself look slow and embarrass yourself again. If you can’t bring to the table hard facts that contradict my original statement don’t bother replying to me crying. Checkmate |
Saddamochieng00:Facts don’t care about your hurt feelings. Yet as usual you couldn’t provide a single counter argument to the facts presented. Pathetic but predictable of you. I swear sometimes it feels like I’m conversing with either man-children or mentally disabled people on this thread. Grow up or get lost mouthbreather; and stop embarrassing yourself.
|
ObosiLandlord:Don’t try to fall back now that you’ve been called out. Face the debate like a man and provide a proper rebuttal to my facts. |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:You couldn’t face getting your lie called out so out of frustrated desperation knowing you couldn’t argue with the facts provided as usual you resort to childish insults. Pathetic but predictable. Keep spreading BS and will keep exposing you as the clown you are. Here’s your "L"

kwametut:That’s funny coming out of the mouth of a 2nd class citizen of the rape and unequality capital of the world. I never said Bantu was an insult I simply stated what you where. That’s Simplistic trade not an advanced civilization or achievement smoothbrain and that Indo Arabic centric trade only extended to the coast of East Africa down to a bit of Zimbabwe. Nothing to do with you Shaka South African gorillas. You only have descent wages through proximity of the white elite who built up your wasteland and provided you simpletons with basic labor jobs. As we can see even that has been regressing over the years. Oh and by the way we stomp you in beauty contest, history, culture, and economics. Currently I’m the only Nigerian here smoothbrain. ![]()
|
kwametut:Those 3 South Africans are all of white Europeans descent. Native South Africans don’t own virtually anything substantial and you never formed an advanced civilization in your entire pathetic existence until the Afrikaners came build up your wasteland and partially tamed you animals. ![]()
|
kwametut:South Africans; a southern Bantu people of the most ape like aesthetic, history, culture, and behavior labeling others Gorillas is one of the most ironically funny takes I’ve come across here. ![]() West, East, Central Africans win beauty contest all the time you just don’t see us loosing out crap over it. |
heendrix:This clown is a liar. He hyperlinked an article from a nearly a MONTH that identified SOME African countries as POTENTIAL partners? The only deal going through being with Algeria? ![]() when the euro first started feeling the gas burn Nigeria was the African country they ran too 2nd after Algeria. There diplomats literally ran to Nigeria the very next day. https://amp.france24.com/en/tv-shows/eye-on-africa/20220412-eu-turns-to-nigeria-as-an-alternative-to-dependency-on-russian-oil-and-gas He’s a smoothbrained low IQ individual. ![]() “ Meanwhile, backed by significant gas resources, emerging markets across the continent have also been identified as potential partners for the EU. Countries such as Mauritania, Senegal, Ghana, Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea and Tanzania could tap into international markets, ramping up LNG exports as soon as large-scale projects come online. Projects such as Mozambique’s 3.4 million ton per annum (mtpa) Coral Floating LNG (FLNG), Equatorial Guinea’s 2.5 mtpa Fortuna FLNG and Senegal’s 10 mtpa Yakaar-Teranga LNG hub will be key for addressing regional and international demand”. |
