DubaiLandLord1: An Islamic cleric, Kallamu Musa Ali Dikwa has revealed that members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Borno State have been kidnapping Christian passengers and leaving the Muslim ones to go their way at roadblocks.
Dikwa, who is also the Director General, Centre for Justice on Religion and Ethnicity in Nigeria, made the disclosure on Friday.
Speaking with SaharaReporters, he said for three weeks now, the terrorists have been stopping vehicles along Maiduguri- Damaturu Road at Mainok and kidnapping motorists and commuters without any disturbance.
He said, “This has been going on for two to three weeks now, along Maiduguri-Damaturu Road. When ISWAP kidnap passengers in a bus, they keep the Christian passengers captive and release the Muslim passengers, this is not just once, it has been happening. They just stop the car, enter into the bush, release the Muslims and hold the Christians captive.
“Just recently, a bus driver was stopped and they asked how many Christians are in the bus, he said two, they picked those two and the rest continued on their journey. This thing is getting to another dimension.
“Our people are afraid. We don’t even have security. It is terrible. Yet, northern leaders are already holding political meetings, thinking of who wants to be the next president of Nigeria when insecurity is ravaging the nation.”
Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah recently wrote to the United States House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee on Religious Freedom, alleging the persecution of Christians in Nigeria based on their faith and not crimes.
Odunayaw: We have border fence and a structured multi agency approach to our border problems?
OK bye
Lurker4Long: wait for it...aaand here comes the self-esteem brigade...
Why have a rickety border fence that fails half the time (Al Shabaab shooting and blowing up Nairobi annually & controlling the Mombasa underground) when you can have guarded militery checkpoints/bases being surveyed by personnel, overheard drones, and field cameras?
NTSA: 5 years ago, Boni Forest Used to be Alshababs Training ground, but today, Kenyan security forces have taken Over and are utilizing it to sharpen their skills. Nigerian security forces should come and benchmark on how to conduct a successful counter-insurgency operation.
There's nothing to see here that Nigeria has done or is currently doing. You Kenyans are late learners.
rvp2018: This picture undid all the Ethiopia gov denial that a famine was unfolding; the journalist who shot it; committed suicide eventually; it was horrific. Jerry Rawling in meantime with his messed up policies pulled all the stops to deny the deaths - and Ghana were forgotten as a similar famine ravaged it.
Is this the same country that's in denial of it's currently burgeoning Civil War that's about to implode at the Kenyan border? Don't you have a military pact with said nation that's about to get bodied by Egypt?
rvp2018: Infact this kind of Fulani "herdsmen" is not even call terrorism in Nigeria - IT SO NORMAL - SICK COUNTRY - a ZOO
Nigeria: 140 more Christian children kidnapped News Date Icon Jul 6th, 2021
Source: Release International
As gunmen kidnap more than 140 Christian schoolchildren in Nigeria, Release International is again urging the international community to call Nigeria to account over its appalling failure to protect its Christian minority in the north.
The gunmen, suspected to be Fulani militants, overcame security guards and forced their way into Bethel Baptist boarding school in Kaduna at 2am on Monday morning. They kidnapped most of 180 students who attend the school. A few managed to escape, according to reports.
Are you serious Or maybe you just joined the forum and you have been without access to a TV and or the Internet for the past decade.
As a result you are completely UNAWARE of what's been happening in Nigeria for the past decade.
Decimated- To kill, destroy, or remove a large percentage or part of.
BokoHarem was rated the most dangerous terrorist group on Earth back in 2013-2014
As of 2021 Bokos are scavangers limping around virtually a single state out of 36 in a single forest in the Lake Chad region missing the majority of there seasoned leadership away from 97-98% of the Nigerian population.
The Taliban, al Qaeda etc where never swept and are rising again as we speak.

Chidexter: Nigeria decimated bokoharam?. With all due respect, what did you take?.
Decimated- To kill, destroy, or remove a large percentage or part of.
Today in 2021 Bokoheads are starving scavangers limited to a single state out of 36 in a single forest in the Chadian region missing the majority of there seasoned leaders away from 97-98% of the Nigerian population.

giles14: and what do you call nigeria economy.russia makes billions every year from wheat, Natural gas, pork, arms export .
The Su-57 is a 6th gen in the making so why rush it, besides the Su-35s is a very capable jet.same with the T-14 and T-90.
Guy abeg no dey reason Russia matter.
I don't know why your getting offended on behalf of Russia nobody there gives a crap about you. I was being generous some analyst consider it declining.
RiceProducers: Very stagnant. Russia may offer joint development and production programmes with mega rich countries in the Middle East and Asia
Salatavor: I do rather be an idiot 365 days a year than be the guy that does not speak out against these massive looting of our national treasury to satanic proportions. The planes will come and it will be back to business as usual. Let's hope the terrorists do not seize any of them.
Glad to see you've accepted your condition that's the first step to begin improving.
Instead of perfecting their own culture, they are here imitating those of others
Tell me about it. I think that's one of the many things West Africans do best compared to the rest of sub Saharan Africa "Culture Preservation". West Africans generally strive to fully modernize there own culture not "westernize" and become a bootleg imitation of Europe or wherever.
Coolliot: To fight who with it or deter who? We can't fight any country that really has enemies that require stealth aircraft....it better we stick to out jf17 hopefully block 3, and maintain our local champion and build infrastructure and economy with human capacity. A country isn't only about its military. Mind you the Security issues Nigeria has now, isn't about strong or weak military, it's about the other variables that affect human wellbeing that are lacking. Provide and environment that makes the citizens happy , and security would slowly creep in.
That's the mindset of subservient Beta. This low ball complacent attitude is why Africa ended up the way it is now. The rampant Neo-Colonialism, the Terrorist, Bandits, Pirates, and fundamentalist breeding grounds. More and more foriegn militery bases opening all over the continent being set up for foreign interests that typically clash with the best interests of the host nations.
Nigeria should strive to be the best it could be on all fronts economically, socially, and militarily. Nigeria should have had a superior arsenal to Algeria and Egypt by now. It should be Nigeria spearheading all these operations in Mali, Congo, Somalia etc not any d@mn off continent foriegners. Sub Saharan Africans forever dangerously NAIVE trying to be the quiet kid that sits at the back of the classroom.
bidexiii: I love the fact that's it's a single jet engine, nice concept. Now the F35 will have a competitor now .
The NAF should start considering this aircraft
kabe1: Close up shots of new Russian single engine 5th generation fighter.
I would think the Nigerian Air Force would be very interested in this aircraft.
Wow wow slow down we first half to see if the stagnant Russian economy can even afford to produce them in bulk. Remember the su57 and T14 Armata? Years later still only a handful of those things exist.
Kuruptnigga: Nairobi hosted the world's largest slums. The kind of thick slums that's in Nairobi, can't be found anywhere in Africa. Nairobi is a concrete ghetto. Not even fit for animals to live in.
willybaby: what do you actually gain from posting bad news, and ridiculing the nation, why blame your personal failing as a person on Nigeria, if I may ask as a citizen or a member of ur local community what have you done to improve security, we must not all be uniformed to play our parts in fighting d insecurity that's making u so happy
It always amazes me how these basement dwelling mouthbreathers live 24/7 on the internet trying there hardest to blame anyone and everyone especially the state for the fact that there failures. Take the Dubai landlord gatemen for example he spends all day on the internet scavenging the depths of the web for any negative news he can find on Nigeria whether it's real, exaggerated, or fake. He finally got some big credible news now so his day has been made. His will to live reinvigorated. You know what they say misery likes company I guess. They need something to help them feel like there pathetic lives have meaning.
Vlain: Pls just shut it already and stop disgracing ur zoo.Jeck this cesspool doesn’t have a fvcking road.tell me what the difference between this and Mogadishu.be honest they have the same war torn look, similar rundown architecture, infrastructural rot kinda look.
Covert1: That country is a shame. I should say a disgrace but I guess we Nigerians are not like the Southies here. We have no glee over the misfortunes of our fellow Africans especially that will help liberate them from slavery. But it doesn't help they want to measure d.ick with us though we since made strides that clearly set us apart as a geopolitical regional power.
Rwanda in Mozambique as a case in point though not entirely South Africa's making as no one exactly knows what President Nyusi of Mozambique has got to hide in the Cabo Delgado province (I suspect corruption) but it does show the limits of South Africa's power and influence in Southern Africa and Africa.
Such a thing wouldn't happen in Nigeria's backyard. When the Angolans tried such rubbish in Guinea Bissau we spoke in the language they understood using many levers of intelligence, soft and hard power to make them scurry off in a hurry in disgrace. Someone also tried to poke the nose in Bangui, CAR and well certain painful things happened.
It beholves of South Africa to do something about Mozambique and the terrorists there. If not it has no business being considered or perceived one of the regional powers in Africa. If Rwanda does it's a shame but what do we care Rwanda is another extension of Nigeria's military influence in the SADC region of Africa.
It really is ashamed South Africa was chosen to be the destination of the Primary Crown Settlement Colony of Africa. The problem with South Africa is that it lacked that native cultural development literally being at the time a wasteland of Stone Age Raider tribes. Much of the aboriginal part of the country carried over that backwards mentality to this very day which what where seeing now just replace the word "LOOTERS with RAIDERS"
I know it comes down to the environment which was the most suitable for European mass colonization its climate being the most similar to Europe and the gold rush at the time but if say Nigeria(By Extension West Africa) or The Great Lakes Region had been chosen and allowed South Africa's level of early modern development instead this hypothetical "Republic of West Africa" or "Republic of Great Lakes East Africa" by now would have been a Giga Power only 4th to the USA, Russia, and China. Not supporting colonialism just making a point.
Most South Africans on a personal level don't really care much about the rest of Africa and see it as one big "Central African Republic". They rather sit in there low income housing, shanties, and slums at the edge of cities and gloat about what the Afrikaners built.
Covert1: Nope no black nation as a block will necessarily get involved except the ones Ethiopia enjoys bilateral relations with and none of which in East Africa has the muscle to stand Egypt.
Ethiopia is not Nigeria. The current Prime Minister and government in Addis Ababa is asking for too much. He's already been taught a lesson by the tribe or region that is really the fighting elements in all of Ethiopia and across Eritrea as well. Which is why they tactically called off the offensive because in a wider war it will take all of Ethiopia's military industrial complex to sustain a war against Egypt for a long period. Winning that war is not guaranteed either on both sides even though Egypt may do the most damage. None of those countries have what it takes from human intelligent resources (Ethiopia a lot better here though) to money (Egypt better here with Arab sponsors) to have the knockout punch power. Also don't forget this is not the Ethiopia of Meles Zenawi.
Having shiny toys alone doesn't win wars.
I know man but tell that to all the Africans on YouTube. There convinced Ethiopia with the support of the rest of blk Africa is going to erase Egypt and Sudan off the map. Honestly I think Ethiopia might get destroyed unfortunately if the Egyptians & Sudanese do take military action leaving most of Africa to just sit there with there hands crossed in astonished anger. They don't even have to invade Ethiopia conventionally all they have to do is bomb them into submission and Ethiopian Cold War Era jets can do nothing to Egypt's numerous Mirages, Raffaeles, and F16s.
