EducationA Country Of Cowards by Askng(op):
fettered frightened multitude at our backyard,
wailing in sombre sigh, waiting for beckett's “godots”
multitude with talents begs their oppressor to survive,
dying amidst plenty with multitudinous buried unfinished destinies,
stunted by great grand fathers who by hex and vex held million in thralldom
The new oppressor worse than the slave masters of yore bereft, of ideas

conquered able bodied myriads
deceived by dinosaurs that some future belongs to them,
and by turns, shameless retards, recycle themselves from North, west south.
old felons fit for gallows, and the slumbering youth
waiting, even at fifty with no more strength to pursue their dreams

Table turned ,
A great giant of yesteryear now a crumbled decrepit through aeonian corruption
rogues who ruled and ruined us now more relevant than a Nobel.
criminals rewrite our history to fit their lenses of lies
corn and national rapist, takes a new title in the vacuum of hero
A country without a hero, the most peopled hub of Africa
A mixture linseed and flaxseed
and their youth sleep on

oh sanctity! What savagery is cast upon your honour,
where religion is the garb of two faced enemies
Leaders as criminals Yes ALL, no hero among thieves.
Desperation for power, bereft of ideas to lit up the darkness

A vast exotic hub of resources , submerged by men without honour
should we name names?
Their conscience loud the wounds for the wealth stolen for their own children
as the rest are cowered in fear, by the Police who they armed protecting them and killing others
How many gloomy days is yet to come?
How long will dreams be buried ?
In the country of cowards
as the youth whose destinies is wasted sleep on

LiteratureBeautiful Coat And Derision. A Poem by Askng(op): 12:33pm On Apr 20, 2020
Beautiful Coat and derision

If I return from this conscious drudgery, I will tell,
I will tell of a subjugation,
the spite and silent disdain
I will tell of the avoidance and the exclusives space on public bus.
I will tell of the common embarrassing quizzes and the suspicious looks
I will tell of the erratic change of mind and the one ninety degrees turn for my sake.
If I return, I will tell so many

If I return from this distant voyage , I will tell
I will tell how it is not over on some minds
The age-long differentiation,
the battle of supremacy,
the venom of little minds.

I will tell of the pretended smile,
the cynic look
the preference and denials,
The tanning of my coat is the jibing.
for some who are oblivious of geography

If I return from this second deliberate offering of my will
I will tell of my endurance and restrain, the quietude of avoidance
The sighs, the pain of rejection, the mockery the selective treatment and all
Of empty pew in church because of my coat,
Yes. Even in church where they aught to know better

If I return someday, I will tell.
They are not all so, there are few among many. "The coats blinds"
The true lover though few, excuse the myriad of coat haters
If I return from this journey of discoveries and curiosity
The long war of our diversity,
The silent unspoken lies of superiority
My coat is the jeer, same blood runs in our veins

Wired mortal from the English Art
Banished from his home, spotted from a distance
Noble amongst scrawling African inscriptions
First veneration of mystical minds
Take a bow, take a bow.

Obliterating deliberate disregard
From interrupters of our histories,
With trophies, allays a regret and loss
So little for so great a heart,
Take a bow, take a bow.

Liberal lord of limpid looks
Grand philosophy too many for little minds,
Art of African arts
Impenetrable obscurity to the impatient,
Take a bow, take a bow.

Entangled genus in the darkest harbor,
Found in a waste howling wilderness,
Left to die in the gaols like their many kills,
And death too weak, spewed him in his flowers
Take a bow, take a bow.

Scrupulous dexterity of the bearded laurel
Multitudinous nobility and countless soothing saccharine
A restoration of our dignity not celebrated, and un-sung.
Tyrannous candor engulfed intelligential
Take a bow, take a bow.

Obdurate at the palaces of murderers
Smiling at military cavalcades, the terror of comrades.
Where barrels pacify the wrangling of children men.
A beholding bluff like Ogun’s iron garb
Take a bow, take a bow.

Yea, the snow-like signature in scraggy form
Impresses nature’s validity on his authority,
Corroding flesh lacerate aptness from his brow
Gyrating orbits of unmatched intelligence
Take a bow, take a bow.

Invisible man from the “kongi” kingdom
Imposing trepidation on pharaohs in the jungle,
Brawny penchant where others retire,
On Lagos streets and London’s courtyard
Take a bow, take a bow.

Nibble in niggle, stripping rogues of honor
Loathing unsavory milk unlike sycophants
Discarding opulence to mediate for the poor
With no reward or crown in intention
Take a bow, take a bow.

Knack for wars with imperious monsters
A constant blustery of unrepentant “Vagabonds”
Dusk till dawn, yearning for Justice.
Crying still, for murdered motherland
Take a bow, take a bow.

And if he dies tomorrow,
As death to all must come,
His posture, a statue for ever,
On our minds and in those rulers of the jungle.
Take a bow, take a bow.

RomanceRe: Is It Normal For My Wife To Have A Male Best Friend? by Askng(m): 12:07am On Jul 26, 2018
Gabrie300:
Hello Guys my name is Gabriel Johnson, Am 31 years. I have been married to my wife whom is 29 years for the past 7 years.. We are blessed with two kids.

But the thing is that, I see her chats with a Guy she knew 2 years ago. My wife says the Guy is her best friend nothing else.

Though I have not seen anything related to sex or that, but I don't feel comfortable with her chatting with this Particular Guy all the time. She claims the guy is married and I am not interested to know. All I want is for my Wife to cut him off. She's married for Christ sake.

Please narialanders help me with advice.

Am already loosing it.
Firstly I must commend you for being very frank enough as to disclose your identity, You sure have a sincere heart and it shows you have nothing to Hide

with regards to a married woman having a best friend who happened to be Male, It is an abnormal situation, Marriage is commitment to one partner, it is like a structure that must be built

A woman's best friend in a reasonable relationship is her husband, she must be deeply involved with her husband to the exclusion of others, that is not to say she should disregard friends who may be male, But within the ambit of marriage, external interest aught to respect the marital vows and stay away from people's wife

The Married man have no regard whatsoever for you or else he knows what to do to hands off your wife

women are vulnerable and easily susceptible, their so call casual interest can result into intimacy and you will be kept in the dark

One of the Bad things that happened to marriages is the Social media apps, which easy women enjoy to the detriments of their home

You will hardly find a discipline woman who have values for the home busying about with men on social media, Only cheap immoral ladies who do not know the difference between a House and a Home have several entanglements which in most case bring their marriages to its kneels

again, you need wisdom to win her heart from external indulgences.

Girls of cheap moral values are no easily weaned from Men and they have no regards to for sanctity of marriage

Such women are in high percentage in modern world and Real men steer clear of them

PoliticsRe: Lauretta Onochie: Apostle Suleman's Omega Fire Ministries Replies Buhari's Aide by Askng(m): 11:07pm On Jul 19, 2018
The kind of Christianity that allows a clap back to vituperation and pettiness is alien to the Christ of the Bible, I am amazed when Pastors make threats and use their pulpits to call out personal opponents
This does not tally with the lifestyle and doctrines of Jesus christ who when He was reviled, Reviled not again "Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:" 1 Peter 2;23

Jesus had the power to call down Fire on the Samaritans when he was prevented passage, He categorically told the instigators that such desire of revenge is of another spirit.

"And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village. Luke 9:54-56

The Desire to revenge, clap back from the Pulpit is a vivid indication that we are not following The Jesus of the Bible. It is Another gospel according to Paul in Galatian
CrimeRe: Armed Robbers In Delta Tie Dog For Barking As They Tried Robbing (pics by Askng(m): 11:50pm On Jul 09, 2018
meobizy:
How is it that armed robbers are able to make a quick example of ruthless dogs?
In my area my neighbours had a huge dog which terrorized the neighbourhood. It's bark always scared children and adults alike. No one dared to enter their house uninvited and strangers always made sure one of the family members escorted them inside the compound.

One fateful night armed robbers raided our street. The dog kept barking as a warning to the would be intruders. The robbers, numbering over 40 of them, stormed into the house at the same time via climbing the fence. Come see confusion na, the dog didn't know who to attack and kept barking only to see the strangers inch closer with every intimidating bark.

Na so the dog pick race go hide under motor. The already enraged robbers pulled the dog out and designed its body with machete strikes. The next day the injured animal was a shell of its former self. It didn't make it to the end of the week.

R.I.P. Bingo. You were a terror but didn't know levels pass levels.
Where are the Police on Nairaland?
The author of this comment has provided evidence to Nail him in the court of Law
I can bet he was the one who pulled the dog out of the car and macheted the animal
when intelligence was rife in Nigeria, this guy would have been explaining his part in the operation
you cant beat the evidence of a witness and a participator in a robbery

LiteratureCries From The River “nun” Poem, Dedicated To Gabriel Imomotimi Okara by Askng(op): 5:30am On Jul 07, 2018
Glib giant of the river borders
The discerning ears of the ancient river goddess
Where caravans cascade to unseen voices
And hills ruminating with man as man

Acumen that captured first instruction
From river “Nun”
Before wasting garbage in corruptible form
Impaired the source of livelihood

Brother blood spill, as they with Khaki gangs rumble for rights
Profligate bands in union vexed by demons
With arms like Pirates
Subdue our river for gain profitless

Ruined face-stretching pains like coverless carpet
A reserve of the gods, purloined by strangers
Of THIS color and THAT whom THESE employ
What damage! Without rescue from poverty

Insipid insanity of blood brothers who murdered
Innocent Wiwa in the struggle
For gain he would never reap
And the Masters watching the drama, laughing us to scorn

Eroded ornamental gift from the gods
And obliterating the daily reverence for His favor
Scratching the walls for war,
With the goodliness in our manner

Leave, we pray thee, let us make sacrifices to the gods
Who knows, he may be appeased
To cleanse our river of blood
Spewed by THIS, and THAT.

Indomitable spirit of brotherliness,
Speak from all nations of their ills
Where these tyrants in sleepless torture of their gin
In torment and pangs to their graves

Mingle not with suckers and rippers of our land
Despise their dromedaries and honor not the rogues.
Treat a thief like lepers
Banish them from homes of honor
Oust these moneybags void of dignity
Whose wealth were gains of wearied laborers,
Quarantine these gangsters and strip them forever
Let them to limbo flee and return never to shatter our joys.

Motherland, who begat these beast, heartless Jews of our Jewry?
Where are the laws of boundaries, which men regard in days of yore?
Covetous creeps from strange lands in amity with rebels to loot
And this they did, without a heart.

Odi, sons were shattered by wicked gunmen and mothers
Widowed by murderers of Aso’s “kill and go”
And fathers wailing deaths of their hopes and flower
Come and see, the bruises and scar on our backs

Tell me of our crime and bring the strong reasons
To the courts of sane men
Tell all the evils of banishments from inheritance
A cynosure of the evils of Colonial lords by “countrymen”

In that grave, at the river bank, chivalrous blood brothers sleep
A monument for seared conscience.
Nostalgia greets visitors at the bank of river “Nun”
Here, we sleep awake and wake asleep, watching invasions of thieves

Malady too hard to swallow, stinking sores on their honor
Oozes of gas abhorred by the buds of our tastes.
Lingers long and lingering still,
Where are the just of earth, and men of dignity?

Ecstasies will end and joys are but temporal,
Gather gold like dusts, they will watch you buried in shame
And the silver like heaps will turn to dross,
Diamond and brass will rot, but men of integrity will glow.

Oh that this hideous scourge would cease,
Our mothers still in rags adorn, sea creatures are gone,
And the fishermen estranged from their love
They die before our eyes, which suck the breast.

Karma, kindle just retribution to the destroyers
Herdsmen who from their thrones dictates our judgment,
For the innocent NINE whose body they mutilated
With cords of criminals, like lambs for sacrifice

And death, must once more summons
The most boisterous like him
Desired to become a HERO, lived a NERO, and Died a ZERO
So shall all, who masked in darkness to pervert justice

Restore, restore says the god, but heedless they go
And these Shell wearing a Chevron in amity with looters of our land
Removing landmarks and that none permitted
Go, enough is the evil, go and loot cassava in the west and rocks in the north.

Abomination beyond comprehension,
Destructions like never heard,
The south side emptied and mourners are many
On the west end side of our “Negritude”

Obasanjo resumes office in the institution he compromised to weaken the Academic system of Nigeria

What is NOUN? a mere substandard imposition of corrupt government when they destroyed the ancient landmark of Nigeria's education system

It is Just another name for Satellite Campuses that produce ill equipped and half baked academia

Obasanjo was never admitted and could have been admitted into any Nigerian institution of learning in the 60s or 70s, He actually failed in

Military College in London alongside Buhari and IBB and was not admissible into any Federal institution of learning because the standard was high

at the time until they came into Power and started issuing Licenses to themselves and every bossiness men, building their own "Universities"

for Lucre sake while denying the Federal Universities and in-fact all academic institutions the funds to sustain itself

They weaken the Fabrics of our institution and attached NOUN to the Federal government and He (Obasanjo) could not study Physics, Or Chemistry or Mathematics or any science related Course, But to be regarded, He wanted a PHD in a compromised Educational system and That in Theology, what an Irony, The man who from Prison became President to build a Library so called with Government funds Just like ATIKU who build at the same time a University with Government Funds wants to hide under the Theological erudite status to obscure our memories

They will offer him a Job so as to make his non admissible theological Certificate Relevant at 80 plus

A country where deserving people are denied and people give favors because of influence and position

Thousands have graduated from Nigerian institution when Obasanjo was busy destroying Nigeria and are still roaming the street without Jobs

but NOUN gives Obasanjo a Job at 80, A dizzy Nation

They destroyed Nigeria and make it revolve around them and their siblings

I have no regard for NOUN or what they call certificate, if we get it right, Their Certification will be nullified and Obasanjo's theological rubbish will be withdrawn

I am not surprised about any crime committed by any man who does not have real encounter with Jesus.
When You are Born again, and sincerely so, It will save you from so many unnecessary trouble
You will know how to react or respond to life issues, both as a man and woman
The Bible becomes your guide and your life is controlled positively by another Master= Jesus
Only as a Christian NOT church attendance Can you truly find rest for your souls

most people don't understand what Jesus said in Matthew 11;28

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

There is no rest in Sin.

I am not in any way surprised when i read of crimes and wickedness in this world, It says a lot about the offender
FamilyLadies Who Are Addicts Of Social Media Are Bad Examples, Loose And Promiscuous by Askng(op): 5:31am On Jun 17, 2018
Women who spend so much time on the internet are adulterous, they are potentially bad examples in the formative life of a growing child

As Good as the internet is, its usefulness is limited when compared to building a Home, I am not talking about having a partner, I mean raising children and building a home. Children learn by examples, they watch adults intently to imitate their values

Women who are on all social media Platform from Facebook to Instagram, WhatsApp, Viber, Imo name it and gets busy with these social media in the presence of their kids such women have created a derailment in the path of these children
Children tends to do more even to the extreme what they see adults doing

The social media have become an addiction that has brought many marriages to her knees, women tends to abandon communication at home while building relationship online with their exes and several unknown people online

Although men also have similar problems with regards to addiction on social media, but women responsibility to build a home is of more significance and they are the first available example in the formative stage of a child thus they are more seen and more available than the men

Any man who is addicted to social media is a confirmed …...Failure for lack of a better word
When A woman is so addicted in the presence of a growing child to social media or any form of indiscipline, she has given up her role to be a good example unwittingly, such women are loosed

Therefore, it is safe to say A social media addict as a wife is also adulterous
Do you see the addiction around?

Where should a man build house first?
Village
Or
Township?
.
As for me township o because all this our red cap elders are too dangerous. I will first gain a ground at the city before coming back to flaunt wealth at the village should incase anything happens. My building at the city wil be my families Hope.
.
Please ur own openion is needed here
As good as it is to build a house in an unsecure world, where all our investment is but little compared to an endless eternity
It is very important to consider the futility of all human endeavours for which men are in a rat race,
Our life is a lease, the owner of our lives is God, a man may be planning to build a house without knowing how many more years or days is left of his life. It is not a bad idea to build
Proverb 16:3 is the proper way to begin

Men are used to major the minor and minor the major
The major in a man's life is his soul

Jesus said "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Mathew 6:33

A house in the village or in the city is little compared to the matter of eternal life, You certainly will not be the first to achieve that, but where are all the people who lived for this world and dreamed of this same investment many years ago?
Many of them have bowed to the power of time and so shall all men

Seek Christ first
Let Him build your soul by coming into your life and then he will direct all other plans of your life.
Build if you have the opportunity but build a relationship with Christ and you will discover what is truly essential

Accept Jesus Christ.

OLAADEGBU:
What is the throne of God? Does God literally have a throne? Is the throne of God symbollic of His absolute reign over everything?
God have a throne where we are called to to come according to Hebrew 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

That throne is a person
The throne of GRACE, so you must understand that the throne belongs to God's grace who is manifested in person of Jesus
Titus 2:11-14 made it more explicit
" For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, note

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; note

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."

God's throne is resident in a person and also there is a literal throne and Jesus is God's approved and anointed means of advancing to God

" Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows." Psalms 45:6-7

To enjoy access, you must come first to the throne of Grace and Jesus is God's approved path.
John 14:6" Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Come to the throne now while you may and find Him as saviour because He is also God's throne of judgment. You can come now or risk coming later

The same person on that throne will be the judge when it is all over.

"Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. " Act 17:31

Come now. Don't delay. Grace is waiting at the throne for all who come
