werepeLeri: English Language is your problem. OBJ is still the one in charge of the projects and calling the shots - maybe.

so the problem of Boko Haram and the solution should lay on OBJ then, since the issue started right from OBJ's time?
Is this Were guy a Nigerian at all? Tell me during OBJ, did we hear of any BH? Even the militants at that time he dealt squarely with them. OBJ knows, just like the Americans, that you don't negotiate with a terrorist.

I normally would not respond τ̅☺ ignoramus who want to compare a goat with a lion. But I need to remind Werepe that GEJ has been nothing but a weakling with the manner he's handling bokoharam. Could this nonsense still live if OBJ were president? GEJ said BH will be history by June, problem is, he didn't tell us what year grin grin grin

Werepe wake up τ̅☺ facts and put sentiments aside.

Before leaving Office, OBJ told us that the power projects he initiated will take 5-10 years to fully materialize. So Oga Jona, stop saying you increased megawatts, don't reap where you did not sow.
Create your own legacies.
BTW how's Patience doing, has she resumed for work @ Bayelsa yet?

baqina: The Presidency qua Presidency is staffed by key
officials from all parts of the country. The
Secretary to the Government of the Federation is
from Ebonyi State. The Chief of Staff and the Head
of the President’s Secretariat are both from Edo;
the Protocol Liaison Officer and Principal Private
Secretary are from Adamawa; the Chief Detail is
from Borno; the Aide De Camp (ADC) is from Kogi;
the Perm Sec, State House is from Benue; the
State Chief of Protocol is from Kwara; the Special
Adviser, Media and Publicity is from Ogun; the
Chief Physician to the President is from Rivers.
Only the Chief Security Officer, the Special
Assistant, Domestic and the Special Adviser,
Research and Strategy are from Bayelsa.
Hmm, so Doyin is his first adviser from the Southwest, and you tell me he's not a tribalist... little wonder the president is so haunted.
Remember he called the SW names in the buildup to his election. You can't eat your cake and have it.
The same God who appointed Saul also rejected him, Jonathan should wake up from his slumber, he has done so many blunders already. Matter of fact is, he doesn't talk intelligently.
And just like GEJ, Abati doesn't ' give a damn' about that.

Foreign Affairs › Indian Minister To Politicians: Steal A Little, But Don't Loot by aspabay(op): 11:02pm On Aug 13, 2012
A minister in India’s most populous and politically crucial state, Uttar Pradesh, has said bureaucrats can steal a little as long as they work hard -sparking national outcry in a country whose ruling class has long been mired in corruption scandals.
“If you work hard, and put your heart and soul into it … then you are allowed to steal some,” Shivpal Singh Yadav told a gathering of local officials in comments caught on camera. “But don’t be a bandit.”
The comments on Thursday were caught by a local TV camera and then played on newscasts across the country. Yadav, a minister for public works who belongs to the state’s ruling Samajwadi Party, quickly sought to control the damage, calling a news conference to explain that the comments had been taken out of context and that he had been discussing how to combat corruption.
“In that event the media was not allowed in, I don’t know how they sneaked in. And if they had sneaked in, the whole discussion should have come out in the press, not just part of it,” he said on Friday. Uttar Pradesh, which is bigger than Brazil by population, was earlier governed by ‘Dalit Queen’ Mayawati. She has been criticized for spending millions of rupees on building statues of herself Äπϑ buying diamond jewelry despite widespread malnutrition and poverty in her state.

Politics › Condemnation Not Enough, Act Decisively Now - Kumuyi Tells FG by aspabay(op): 9:40pm On Aug 11, 2012
Being an advertorial published in newspapers on Friday and signed by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi.

Shooting at Deeper Life Bible Church, Okene.

I am deeply saddened and sorrowful at the attack on Monday night at the Deeper Life Bible Church location in Otite, Okene Kogi state. It is hard to reconcile that peace loving people, sitting in their church, and listening to Bible Study were gunned down in cold blood by people they had done nothing to provoke.
The attack against a peaceful assembly like the church is not only wicked, but utterly premeditated. The government must now come in terms with the fact that a large swathe of Nigerians are being sent to the graves early, even as law enforcement agents seem unable to provide the required protection for all of them. Without doubt, this callous event has given negative implications for the progress, development and well being of the nation.
This spate of killings and destructions have been going on particularly in the northern part of our country for too long. Each time they occurred the usual condemnations are made, but thereafter, the people are left without any assurance of their security and safety. No nation can
continue this way.
In times like this, all christians must step up their prayers for our nation. In fact, I firmly believe that when Christians pray, the Almighty God in heaven answers. If the body of Christians would rise up and pray, and the law enforcement agencies would intensify their efforts to combat this creeping instability, the killings and destruction in our country would be stemmed.
Christians should not despair in the prevailing situation, for it is in times like these, when there is so much fear across the land, that all Christians must see it as an opportunity to serve God more fervently.
I send my heart felt condolences to the families of all my beloved brothers and sisters who were killed in the attack in Okene, and pray for the quick recovery all those who were injured by the gunmen. I assure you that I will continue to pray for you.

Signed
Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

All I wished SLS to have done is to show empathy and postpone the ceremony at least as a mark of respect. Mourning for 1 year won't bring the deceased staff back just as the traditional title will not add anything to SLS beyond his hometown. Mind you he must have been making arrangement for this ceremony all week, i.e the deaths meant nothing to him.
