Bombiday:If you really want the thread, please make the effort and find it yourself. Its part of the exertion required in researching a plausible idea. You will even be more fulfilled when you discover it yourself. And when you do please 'take action'. Fail if you must, make mistakes if you need to but by all means take some action. Action is the bridge that connects aspiration with manifestation. |
AJ01:Whereis your location? Look for a daily need, buy it in bulk and resell it in your neighbourhood for retailers. |
Read all the shadesof opinion above and something struck me. Many posters simply jumped to conclusins without cobsidering what specifics the Company management may have given the HR person to seek out for. Decisions made by a recruiter are so decisive that the outcomes can make or undo a company. A typical private company and its prevalent culture is built around the personality and character traits of the promoter(s). The scenario painted above depicts a private company setting that thrives on action and targets. Please note that what they were seeking is a "Youth Corper" and not a manager. Whas the point in hiring someone you know will definitely be a misfit? A business has profits as its primary motive . Only those who are perceived to be able todeliver on set goals should hired. Its a professional decision based on psychologial underpinings and not a moral barometer. |
itubaba001:If only Nairaland members can read this and draw the underlying wealth in these words. This is wisdom in its unadulterated form. Itubaba, you are a godsend. I have a product I am now selling daily that gives me 10% profit on my investment and I can turn around the same capital 3 times oer week thus grossing 30% on my fixed capital weekly and 120% monthly. And to crown it requires very little initial capital outlay and it is almost a risk free enterprise. Its simply awsone. And guess what? I got the info right here on Nairaland. I am seriously considering making it a major investment of mine. Its simply super. |
Ifeconwaba:Bros quit learning. I have followed your following for a while. All you keep doing is 'learn'. You even created a beautiful thread that has loads of wonderful suggestions and yet here you are again seeking further 'learning.' My suggestion to you is to go back to that thread you created and choose on of the beautiful ideas you were provided with there and take action. Action will provide you with experience. Please dont take this personal as I only chise to advise you based on my personal experience. As a stereotype, many Nigerians have a lot of information as regards businessand know how to build elaborate plans but fail at the point of greatest importance I.e when action is needed. It may interest you to note that I benefitted ieasuraby from one of the suggestions made on that thread. As a matter of fact I am considering making it a major income earning source for 2019. Wishing you the very best your action can bring to you. |
I am new on this thread. My first and only experience with Xaomi was bitter-sweet. I had the Redmi Note 3 global version. It was a wonderful phone on the whole. It also functioned like a flagship phone. I can tell because prior to that phone I used a Samsung Note. Exactly 1 year from the date of purchase it began malfunctioning andbthen packed up a few days later. I wish to change my phone now. I currently use a Nokia 3 and a Samsung J7. I would like to upgrade to a Nokia 7 or 8. I woukd also like to replace the Samsung with a high end Xiaomi phone. Someone recommended that I do the Mi 8 series. I hereby seek your recommendations on what Xiaomi I can possibly buy. My budget is 100k for the Xiaomi. I will really appreciate your responses. Many thanks in anticipation. |
Oktane:I came across this post on Saturday 15/12/18. I was intrigued and I decidedbto contact the poster via email. His response was swift, brief yet concise. He recommended two businesses for me and I chose one which required just 4,500 for a sample survey. He also provided contact details. I called the numbers and negotiated with the company and on Sunday morning they were knocking on mu door by 7.00am having come to deliver my first order. My wife and I were quite impressed. Mark you, payment was on delivery. We sold the products in less than 2 hours (everything was actually finished in our church). We called them and placed anotger order this time they insisted on a prepaid order and a minimum order of 45,000 but I was able to negitiate for half of that and insisted that I would again pay on delivery. They delivered very early on Monday morning and my wife drove around t market it. She (my wife) called me very excited around 1.00pm saying she had exhaisted the product. I was impressed and decided to go for the jugular. We have now committed to the 45,000 order now and delivery is for tomorrow morning. I will keep you guys posted as regards the next supply. I want to thank the poster for sharing this informaion with us all and to encourage others who have tried it out to share their experiences. I am now open for other suggestions/recommendations. |
Sent you a pm sir. |
majekdom2:Thanks for your candid suggestion. In all my trips abroad I network extensively with Nigerians but I never considered relocation at that time. I am thinking about it now and thats why I came on the travel section seeking 'your' advice. And I getting a lot and trying to filter through it objectively. And please ite that I am reading all the posts and jotting notes as I take this project seriously. I could consider an International job......a good one that would give me fulfillment. As regards further studies that could improve my chances at the labour market I am not taking that path. I am more interested s out of the question in doing a business of my own with he attendant challenges and consequent fulfillment as reward. I will eventually take on a Masters degree (and maybe a phd) but this will be only for the acquisitionof learning in an area of interest and not for career enhancement. |
franchasng:Many thanks for your sincerity. |
stagger:Quite frankly, I can't say for now what I will do but I can tell you with some assurance that I will first look for a reasonable job that will support whatever I am able to save and transfer to that country. The whole idea os to study the economy, the people and the business environment and the regulations while trying to determine exactly what value I can provide for Canadians. I really would prefer a straight forward legal process that gets me a PR even before I leave Nigeria but I have to research what options are available. I hope this gives you some form of ckaritybas regards my situation and circumstances. |
I new here having been recommended from another thread; https://www.nairaland.com/4760748/family-relocation-abroad-mature-advice |
MajorJeffery:Noted with thanks! |
ERIN01:Whatever option I chiose has to be legit all he way. I will not subscribe to cutting corners as I am not really desperate. I am willing to follow the guidelines strictly and to ensure that everything is doen o the very letter. |
GboyegaD:Unfortunately I didnt get to having a UK citizenship. Migrated tothe UK at three months and stayed till I was 9 years old. I actually qualified for the citizenship then but parents didnt consider it a necessity for me or even for themselves then. Nigeria was simply wonderful then. |
eldee365:Vancouver is a location that tops the charts for me as far on account of its weather. I am already reading a lot about the BC area from different sources. Also thanks for the link. |
Laird:Thanks Laird. I could start with some not so odd job just as a sacrifice and to use the time to study the busines environment. I am sure that I should be able to invest in some business within one year of being there. I also intend to keep my business running here and hope to visit at least every quarter. Even if I could afford it I really wouldnt subscribe to going back to university to learn in order to get a job. My wife had been interested in healthcare especially nursing. She would say yes at the slightest opportunity. Your last statement is quite pregnant and most attractive. Its a viable option. Only snag being that I love seeing my kids everyday. At least let me have my fill of them while I can. Staying withput seeing them for long periods will be quite the torment. |
eldee365:Thanks! Canada is a top choice but I only have issues with the extreme climate/weather. However I am studying widely just to see if some provinces can be better than others in this regard. The healthcare advantage is a major plus for me. The free education too is very good. The environment is quite friendly and the air is so clean and oure it is unimaginable. My problem is whether I can cope with a menial job at my age. T is likely that I will be nudging 50 when we decide to leave. That is no longer young. It is entry level Agbalagba. |
I am so overwhelmed by the love shown so far. Thanks and keep it flowing. I look forward to looking back to thus thread and referring others to it. I am also positive that other Nairalanders who are interested in a similar pursuits will benefit from. I will try to update as regularly as possible woth my activities and search results. As we update continuously my heartfelt prayer is that one day in the immediate or remote future I a d others too wil be able to announce our arrival and posssesion of PR and then citizenship. Once again accept my heartfelt gratitude. |
Countries that have been on my radar for a while have been Canada, USA and Australia....maybe because of the language similarities and the fact that I have visited all three and love them. |
If I am to relocate where would you advise I relocate to? The money to relocate shoukd not be a problem provided it is within reasonable bounds. I can raise between 7 - 10 Million (and more) if given 24 months. |
The big question is; Should I relocate the entire family .....or should I relocate wife and kids only while I remain here and continue the hustle? |
A little background to aid your objectivity..... I am a 47 year old Nigerian with a 43 year old wife. Married 13 years. Three kids; 12, 9 and 6. I have a degree in humanities while she has a HND in Admin. We are both involved in hustling in Lagos, Nigeria. The hustle hasn't paid off big time yet but we get by with about 3- 5 Mill earnings annually. We used to do much more than that until 3 years ago. I have had significant international exposure having lived in UK as a child and also bisited all continents in the last 5 years. |
To emigrate or not is the question here. I need very mature advice and inputs as regards a situation I am trying to resolve. In the last two yearsI have been thinking seriously about relocating my entire family abroad but I am still held back by indescision. Just this afternoon I made a decision to throw it open on Nairaland Travel section. I am sure the mature contibutions that flow forth here will help me to a large extent to take a final decision on which direction the pendulum swings. Please note that my wife is indifferent as per where we are. She just wants us to be together peacefully. She is also not a very ambitious person inthe ense thay she does not really aspire to be Folorunsho Alakija or Dangote's wife. She is very satisfied with being an average, comfortable upper middle class citizen anywhere in the world provided there is peace. I am the money man with a lot of ambition and an undying aspiration to beat (or at least compete favourably with Aliko Dangote. |
babz11:Where did you get it from? Locally? |
calddon:Can't speak for others but New age is absolute trash. I have several of them packed in one corner in my house. Waste of funds. Avoid New age like a plague and also another brand called fit. For me the rule of thumb is guarantees. Anker sells with 6 months guarantee. Aujey will be good , Xiaomi will be fine and so will the likes of Romoss etc. |
all the shadesof opinion above and something struck me.
