PhonesPlease Recommend A Good Dual Sim Phone by ASPIREX(op): 6:21pm On May 24, 2022
I have been using Redmi 8 (4/64) for over two years now. The experience has been quite blissful and could only be described as beyond satisfaction.

I am however tired of the phone and would like to replace it preferably with the note series.

I am however rather confused and would like recommendations from those of us who are better versed in these matters. Should I opt for the Note 10 or the Note 11?

Budget is 100 - 150k maximum.

Thanks in anticipation.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by ASPIREX: 1:44pm On May 24, 2022
I have noticed that recently this thread (which by the way I've been following for over 2 years now) has become more of a complaints platform. It's surprising because I have been using Redmi phones for over 5 years now and I really couldn't complain about anything but then that could perhaps be because I am not a heavy user. Guys, what's really happening?

I am currently using Redmi 8 and my experience in the last two years is beyond satisfactory. I am thinking of raising the bar and going for the note series but I have a difficulty choosing right now because of the myriad of complaints here.

Can someone help me recommend a good, tried and tested Redmi Note series. Age and year of launch doesn't really matter to me but it must be rugged and reliable enough to last at least two years.

plaindealer:
Den state agencies, jobs, and food on the table, but you are obsessed with Tinubu's self-interests?

When tens of thousands of LIRS, LAWMA, LASTMA, BRT, and Rapid Response Squad workers collect paychecks and put food on the table, do you really think the food on the table is Tinubui's interest or when they pay rent and school fees?

The IGR you people make noise over employees and pay the salaries of the second largest public service employer in Nigeria, they build and commission projects that the rest of Nigerians can not even dream of.

....but you people still want us to vote for an habitual liar with zero meaningful achievements as a public official.

Tinubu created jobs with his money and influence, he did not park his money, millions of dollars in secrete Pandora foreign account, the man is so unpatriotic that he's not paying taxes on the money he stashed away, we pay for the roads and bridges that lying man travel on.

Funny how you people discount other people's achievements in favor of the lying Pandora man instead of listing his achievements for us to compare.

Please, face your Pandora master and let other people face their candidates, it's called democracy, something that's still foreign and unknown to many of you.
With the quality of your expression one would expect a more refined approach in campaigning for your candidate.

In the final analysis I think what Nigerians really want is someone who can rescue the state from the precipice where we have been for many years.

As our country evolves the quality of candidates vying for various public positions have significantly improved. For the first time we can actually see candidates with a shining antecedence seeking to lead our country. Peter Obi, Yemi Osinbajo, Akinwunmi Adeshina, Asiwaju, Umahi to mention a few and they cut through religious and political leanings.

We should consider ourselves lucky and thus focus on the main issue which is choosing the best candidate among them. Your argument in favour of Asiwaju is quite in place. His antecedence especially as Lagos CEO speaks volumes (never mind what his ultimate motives may have been). Ultimately,Lagos and indeed the country benefitted from the various innovations he brought about during his 8 year stint.

However one thing you cannot fault is the fact that age has taken a toll on the indefatigable Asiwaju. He is now a shadow of his old self. There is absolutely no way he can perform at his best as President of this country (moreso with our prevailing circumstances). Perhaps 10years ago he may have been a perfect fit.

At the moment, PYO presidency wouldn't be a bad deal. He is young and to a large extent somewhat experienced.

Peter Obi would however be a better deal. He has the antecedence that is verifiable, his simplicity coupled with his penchant for accountability and frugality both in personal and public expenditure.

Chronologically, age is also to his advantage.

Finally, it would be nice to assuage our Eastern compatriots with the Presidency which would be a major salve in the healing process of this land.

Whatever we do, let's make our choice based on an objective appraisal and most importantly we need to desist from name calling and outright display of disdain for all candidates.

Pathetic, feel sorry for all our hard working teacher's out there experiencing this kind of situation sad

Modified; the person that commented below me, my reply to you is that private school owners are not supposed to rely "AlONE" on the school fees parents pay for there children at the School's before they can be able to pay there teachers salary,

as a proprietor/proprietress or school owner who is wise and is aware of the challenges faced in running a school in this country you are expected to diversify and have other source of income.......I know of a lecturer in this country that owns a private school(primary/secondary) school, on many occasions due to lack of payment of school fees by parents he normaly use his own salary to pay his teachers just to ensure he keeps everyone( the teachers) happy and avoid complaints, I know of many business owners who owned schools and have had to pay teachers from there private money, this money they can replace when parents later pay there wards schools fees.......

It is suicidal and unwise for any private school owner to rely on schools fees alone to pay teacher salaries, especially new and upcoming schools with low population of students.
This shows the very depth of your education and enlightenment.

Your understanding of economics will make the combo of Okonjo Iweala and Soludo hide their faces in shame.

Well done Bro!

For those of you have different shades of opinion, you may wish to know that every side of the coin is right...depending on the perspective it is viewed from.

Yul is right in his own way. He justifies the marriage with the protection he gives the unborn child by making the lady an honourable woman.

The lady is also right since this is what she wanted in the first place.....a total package...marriage to a handsome star with a son to boot.

The first wife is justified I her pain. She never bargained for a change in the configuration in the middle of the game. Everything was going so rosy
... (or so she thought).
Now, what does she do, the shame, the angst, the embarrassment, the disappointment, the bleak future and more importantly the startling recognition that she doesn't have as much control over Yul as she thought she did.

Despair!

This is indeed a great candidate......ordinarily.

Unfortunately, he pales in significance when kept side by side with Peter Obi.

We would however vite him in the event that PDP decides against Peter Obi during their Primaries....which would be very sad.

Osinbajo is the only reasonable candidate from the APC worth bearing their flag.

I feel unfulfilled and I'm lacking interest day after day. The unfulfillment brewed mostly from my bosses egoistic and narcissistic approach to his employee, the insane working hours, and the lack of liberty, and most importantly, I feel I could do better. Now I have a meagre 2 million naira saved up, small? I know. Buy I'd like to pursue my passion in tech albeit from ground zero.

Now my dilemma is:

1. Seeing that I'm old and already past my prime for a career change at 30 yrs old, does a pursue of another career make sense?

2. Knowing that 2 million is small and would not last long. Does is it make sense to just up and leave?

3. I have a small biz I ideal which I feel could give me close to 50k monthly, but thing is, this is Nigeria and I might be wrong.

4. Should I just suck it up and continue for another year or two? Everyone I asked seems to think I should.

She went for an interview....ostensibly in a corporate set-up and she wore a leg chain. There are some organisations that wouldn't bother about it,some other companies will not even allow you access to the panel. Why not steer the middle course....go without the leg chain, nose studs or multiple earrings and then after joining the organisation you can gently show them your true colours.
