ibechris: If u know what Pandora is u will never bring it up.
Investing in tax haven isn't a crime any where and there is no law in Nigeria that says it is a crime. It becomes a crime if u don't declare it in ur asset declaration form with the Nigerian govt either as public servant or a civil servant.
I repeat, don't ever say this in public if not u would sound like someone who is educationally imbalanced.
I am speaking as former banker. Read below for proper understanding and after that, tell yourself that poverty of knowledge is crime.
Investing in a tax haven is not inherently a crime; its legality depends on the specific actions taken and compliance with the laws of one's home country. The key distinction is between legal tax avoidance and illegal tax evasion.
Key Distinctions Tax Avoidance (Legal): This involves using legal methods and loopholes within the regulatory framework to minimize tax liability. This can include establishing subsidiary companies in low-tax jurisdictions and routing profits through these entities, provided all activities are properly documented and within the bounds of the law. Tax Evasion (Illegal/Criminal): This involves using illegal methods to deliberately hide income, assets, or misrepresent financial information to evade taxes. Examples include: Failing to declare foreign bank accounts or income to your home country's tax authorities. Creating anonymous accounts to obscure the true source or ownership of funds. Fraudulently reducing tax liability through intentional misrepresentation.
Per the bolded, am not even educationally balanced sef. Wherever you copied and pasted this from, shame on them as it is a poor defence. He didn't "invest in tax haven" (sic), he hid money under his children's name in a foreign country to avoid paying tax. He is a tax dodger who claimed he didn't realise he was flouting tax laws when questioned but till today, still hasn't rectified it. He wants to rule Nigerians, yet he doesn't want to fulfil his Nigerian tax commitments, yet you Obidients will still try and make him out to be a saint, which he clearly isn't. Thankfully, we all now realise his tax evasion history and as Nigerians, we are not about to forgive or forget it when we go to the polls next year. Congratulations on being a former banker, sadly that is not something that impresses me. |

Do u know what it means to be a former governor and yet no-one can say whether in the past or present that this good man stole money any where.

ChiefOloye: Though you may sound silly, that will not stop me from educating you. For your information, the Igbos did not reject Olu Falae or Ojukwu because they chose competence over mediocrity. Rather, they chose the PDP and stuck with it for about 23 years. They only left the PDP in 2023 and moved to what some call “PDP-lite” (LP) because they genuinely felt it was their turn to produce the President, and the PDP seemingly wanted to deny them that opportunity. What empirical evidence do you have to prove that Obasanjo was more competent than Falae or Ojukwu? And this, my friends, is the truth. The sad thing is PDP didn't care about Ndigbo enough to, just once, give them their Presidential candidacy despite Ndigbo's fervent support. My hope is APGA will jump in bed with APC and Prof Soludo will get the Presidential ticket once a Northerner has done their 8 years. |

Crime › Re: How A Chicken Lap Save Me From A One Man Robber by aswani(m): 8:17am On Mar 07*. Modified: 10:15pm On Mar 07 |
Kalulu44: Guys! Believe this story or not. Till date it still feels unreal to me. It was back in September 2008, on the 10th which was my 28th birthday. 2 weeks earlier I just got myself an apartment in Okokomaiko area of Lagos where I actually grew up. I had been staying with mumsie and my siblings in Iyana Iba of Ojo area of Lagos since 2006 when I returned back from Benin. Bcus I am new in my new apartment and area and haven't made friends. I always go to Ojo after my close from work to see my friends there and also my family. . So on this particular day which was my birthday, I quickly close from work. I was a bus driver and independent, I can close anytime I like. Went to friends in the afternoon to have some few drinks for my birthday. Later in the evening, I went to my family home and we celebrated together. I left them around 9pm and headed for home. I didn't have appetite for food again but I needed to eat something, so I branch off at one Ghana woman opposite Ojo local govt sectariat selling foods. I bought one full chicken lap that was really curved like a gun. I intend on eating it at home with one bottle of beer and just sleep off. . So the woman wrapped the fried chicken inside a black nylon and I put inside the side pocket of the combat short knicker I was wearing and headed for home. My bus stop was Cassidy bus stop of Okokomaiko. Anybody who knows that bus stop back then, knows how dangerous it was. It's not far from PPL and Alaba Rago which are also dangerous black spots. So I got to the bus stop by 9:45pm and began walking home. There was a lonely long stretch part that leads to Ago Hausa/Ago Tapa my area. At the middle of the dark part, I heard a voice behind saying I should stop and not turn. I felt something pointed at my back like the tip of a gun, iron or whatever I can't think of at that moment. . The voice spoke in Yoruba that I should summit everything with me. I responded with shaky voice that he should calm down that I will comply. With me was 8k at my back pocket, a Nokia 95 China phone that I just bought for 10k then at the side of one of my combat pocket and the wrap chicken inside a black nylon at the other pocket. While the guy or robber was yelling I shouldn't waste his time, I dip my hand inside one of the pockets and it was the one the chicken lap was. I didn't know the kind of morale and belief that came into me. I just found myself brought out the chicken wrap with nylon and holding the leg side. I quickly spun around and pointed it to the guy inside darkness and said in Yoruba language "ogbeni, aja o'kin je aja. Mo'sese nbo lati ibi ise temi, ma show ara re o" meaning, ogbeni dog no dey chop dog. Me wey just dey come back from my own robbery, you wan come show yourself. I was doing and saying this things with my heart beating heavily. If not for darkness the idiot would have seen my apprehension, I guess he thought I was holding a real gun, or he too wasn't holding a real gun or anything close to it. . Cus the moment I did that and talked back to him, he moved backward, raised his two hands and was hailing me. "Tuwale baba, e ba ti sope ogbologbo leyin na" Meaning, tuwale sir. You would have told me we are one. Immediately he said this, he turned back and ran towards where he was coming from, me too ran towards my own direction and never looked back till I got to my house panting really hard and wondering what just happened and what I did. After I have felt relaxed and thought about the whole thing again, I just burst into a serious laugh. The next day I told my friends in Ojo and family what happened, they too felt amused and told me I was somehow lucky. That maybe the guy isn't holding real gun that's why. I agree with them and just laugh it off. But my mum warn me not to try pulling such stunt again. . Till date, that's one episode of my life that anytime I rmbr it, I just smile. Baba nor try am again ó, if di guy had a real gun, dem for kpai you over nutin. Just hand over every single thing you have next time please. I have been lucky that I have lived in some bad cities like Lagos and Benin and not once have I heard armed robbers operating or had an incident happen to my person. When I was younger, I was fearless and had no problems going through nook and crannies. Baba God thank you ó. |

Nwaikpe: I never take any person with that hairstyle seriously in life.
I don't know how someone will wake up and decide that keeping his hair a dirty, ragged, and scattered look is the new style. Furthermore, others call it dreads when it's longer. I mean, how? These are things we first clean off the body of a mentally deranged person when we want to take them off the streets. We first shave such "dreads" from them. Yet, the same dread is a style.
"Woke" is truly a disease. That is why the guys who keep such hair are very much prone to crime. Per the bolded, what has "woke" got to do with hairstyle? I myself don't understand why boys have a fascination for dreads, twists and these kind of hairstyles but that has nothing to do with a propensity for commiting crimes. |

https://dailypost.ng/2026/03/06/ill-contest-2027-presidential-poll-despite-apcs-30-governors-peter-obi-vows/ It would have been great if he'd expanded on this as accusations like this one are very serious and should carry a jail term if not proven. Nothing wrong with having a high and healthy regard of one's self but this particular allegation is preposterous. This is also a blatant flouting of campaigning laws, INEC is the one that should determine when campaigning should start, not people hiding under charitable causes to do political campaigns. |
