unseenmatrix:When Owelle decided he preferred to be a figurehead President/Governor General and weaker partner in the partnership with Ndi Fulani. The last then became the first (development wise) and the country was turned on its head. |
sweetsandy4luv:Mazi Guterman, why not tell us, in summary or in detail, why he is clearly the best? Just a gentle reminder, Peter Obi is the only candidate that appears in Pandora papers, a worldwide expose on corrupt politicians. The rest of them are no better but this best thing, hmm. |
Sirchiboy:A sibling sneakily looking to find favour with parents at the expense of others. When you have children, beware of the ones that try to make themselves look good and others looking bad. |
christejames:I won't count your chickens before they are hatched, you did it in 2023 when Peter Obí had real nationwide momentum and look at what happened. |
Before everyone accepts this woman's version of the story, please remember it is just that and push to hear the other side. I believe they would have reported themselves to people and she would have heard what he said about her. It would be nice if she tells us what he thinks about her. Remember, no man is perfect and neither is a woman, every single marraige is dealing with an imperfection or two by both parties that are tolerated. To avoid depression, I suggest she finds happiness in other places, she clearly cannot change the person she is with. One final thing, bad breath and BO will not dissappear because of a lavish wedding. |
clevybrown:Her name wasn't mentioned but she immediately reacted. This is one of those "tok am again", knowing fully well other people would have surrounded you both to stop the impending fight. She knew who Wike meant as did the whole world. She needs to accept she is not as important to PeterObi as she thought and he would not fight for her in NDC. |
FSBoperator:A long post and every single word extremely useful. Thanks for disseminating knowledge in this manner. This is why I came to Nairaland, to learn stuff or to get information to fill my knowledge gaps. Don't expect our Obidient friend to accept the mistake of biting off more than they can chew in trying to go against you sha. Once more, thanks for the post. |
jaxxy:Same in Edo but them not following the same gubernatorial candidate doesn't mean there isn't a lemmings like attitude towards Peter Obí. Don't forget Peter Obí also lost his own polling unit despite bring on ground to campaign in some legislative elections in Anambra. The point I made was that if those elections were not important, he wouldn't turn up at all. |
ZombieDredd:There is no LGA or LCDA in Lagos that Ndigbo dominate. Even if you add all non Yoruba and Non Hausa and lump them in as Ndigbo, which people make the mistake of doing, Yorubas still dominate every single area in Lagos. |
I am intrigued by this. If Atiku wins in 2027, I doubt it but bear with me, will Obí run in 2031 as President with Kwankwaso as vice still or will it be the other way round. After all, South would not have done it's 8 years complete. |
GreatrAnalyst:Borders will still be porous and the same set of politicians, who care nothing about the common people, will be in charge. |
jaxxy:Really, Obidients are not zombie followers, that's the funniest untruth I have heard on here for ages. |
Gbadugbakun:I actually know someone in the UK that took out a loan once to help a daughter of Eve out, actually he took two to pay over 3 years ![]() Less than 6 months later, she broke up with him as he refused to commit mainly because she showed she clearly wasn't marraige material. Ọga paid off the money himself eventually as Anti nor send. Don't say it can't happen to you, you will be surprised how much sympathy you can have for people you are in love with. |
jaxxy:So why did they go on the campaign trail then, why didn't they both stay away? |
Hehehehehe26:You realise I told him in that same post that I didn't agree with him, right? |
helinues:Yes, but the BS kidnapping was in Ogbomoso area and not Ibadan or Oyo town itself. Anyway, I don't know much about Oyo State sha. Per the kidnapping threads, I shouldn't say much about my opinion on Obidients enjoyment of children being kidnapped as I would get banned for life. |
helinues:Baba, I suspect this is an anti Obidient thread to lure the ones whose 3 week blocking has ended to come and foolishly expose themselves in order to be blocked again. If not, I don't agree that the kidnapping is political. We now have a situation where rural areas are at risk and not because of organisations like Boko Haram or whoever. I don't have proof sha but this has all the hallmarks of Fulani bandutry rather than local or political. |
ponishah:What something exactly is Aisha looking to do about kidnapping and failing killings? She was in charge of Obidient monies in LP, till today she hasn't allowed the spending to be audited and publicly published. She wanted to do the leap from activism into politics solely based on her closeness to Peter Obi. That attempt has failed and she is now looking to cause rancour in a party she joined a few weeks ago with her public outbursts. She needs to go and rest as she has shown she has nothing to offer. |
Evelynluv20:I don't think any Yoruba person will want to go near that NDC Lagos state and I don't blame them as the whole world knows it is effectively Lagos state LP 2023 and we all now know what that was all about. Good luck to them but I feel with the outing of the agenda of the LP Oshodi-Isọlọ guy, who I believe is now in NDC and lost at the primaries, theirs is an exercise in fruition. |
jaxxy:Nobody was interested yet Peter Obí and Atiku were on ground beforehand backing ADC candidates in FCT that eventually lost. Of course you can't be terming those two as nobodies, can you? |
Mandem05:Whilst you are right about votes being protected, I would suggest you wait till the children and grandchildren as well as other relatives of the politicians, especially the younger ones, come back from abroad and lead the protecting of their votes. |
I actually know a lot of Edo North people will muslim names, interesting thing is none of them are actually muslims. |
Jakpon:It's along the Obidient argument which one minute, Ndi Yoruba are very tribalistic and voted President Tinubu as he was their son. Then next minute, INEC rigged the results for APC and Peter Obi actually won, having of course been voted overwhelmingly by the same Ndi Yoruba. |
LordBiden:Or that it would now be a security risk if Ndigbo are not Nigerians and they have as much percentage of markets as they do now in various places in Nigeria. Look at the indiginisation trading laws enacted by Ghana for example and how much it affects Ndigbo. A law that limited the type of goods to sell and percentage of stalls/shops foreigners could have in various markets. This is aside from the higher costs of paying for shops to be hired by foreigners which was meant to ensure locals could sell at a lower price and be more competitive. I also believe opening times are restricted. All laws targeted mainly at Ndigbo. Ndigbo seriously need Nigeria and the vast potential it has for them to use their trading acumen unencumbered by harmful anti-foreigner laws. |
helinues:As a matter of principle, I don't block people, even Obidients, but I must say I agree with a lifetime blocking option. How banal must someone's life be that they would be kicking up a fuss about being blocked. It's not as if you will contribute anything sensible when you are unblocked I urge the owner of this website not to capitulate to any request to remove the current blocking feature. |
simpleseyi:I don't think this is right. Please bear in mind there are lots of non Yoruba people in Lagos that should be allowed to vote in peace as they wouldn't have done anything that the indigenous Yoruba people, who we all agree own Lagos from top to bottom and are gracious hosts to boot, can consider as "exceeding their boundaries", in thoughts, words or deed. Of course this doesn't mean I am singling any tribe out as I fervently believe even those that might be considered as provocative chest beaters cum noise makers too should be allowed to vote peacefully. It is a sad state of affairs that NDC is either deliberately or inadvertently positioning itself as a tribal party in Lagos. The hope is that cool heads prevail and the will of the majority in all elections in Lagos state is allowed to prevail without violence and bloodshed. Eko ó ní bajẹ |
loveth360:Actually, Awolowo didn't starve anyone, he was part of the Government that allowed Caritas trucks into Biafra, trucks that were forcefully diverted into Biafran barracks to feed soldiers instead of the starving children that they were meant for. The ones that diverted those aid trucks from their intended destinations are the ones you should blame, God will of course never forgive them for their atrocities. |
Odewaleadesoye:You surely must have heard about Peter Obi's name being mentioned in Pandora papers, a worldwide expose on corrupt politicians. Just to reiterate, Peter Obí refused to pay tax on his earnings and preferred to take his monies to a tax haven and hide them behind what was called "a complex labyrinth of companies and accounts". When accosted by the people behind the Pandora Papers, he claimed he did not know he was doing anything wrong. I would never cease to be amazed at the kind of people we deem to label heroes in our country even though I fully understand there is a need for an Ndigbo to be president. So whilst I agree that reputation is important and none of the political class can be said to have such, maybe apart from Prof Soludo, to use the words "cleaner image" in reference to Peter Obí is a bit much. Good luck to him in the oncoming elections anyway even though I don't see his new alliance with Kwankwaso winning. |
2RightHands1Coc:You need to read and understand what I wrote or make your point such that I can understand. Forget Nollywood scenes you have seen and ask yourself, who gains or looses from his death? |
QuinQ:You (and some in the thread) have been influenced by the Nollywood film mindset, those jealous of him enough to want to poison him are those that can't benefit anything from him, not his close circle of friends that I believe he was with. I also never said anything about dying, I made reference to food poisoning. I don't think there is an exact period of grace for everyone as I believe it defers from person to person, especially sportsmen whose bodies have to be conditioned in a certain way I have a friend who came from UK and bought akara on the streets of Ibadan. He spent almost the whole night in the toilet while his home based brothers and driver didn't even see any difference in their own systems. Hopefully the police don't go and harass the boys friends and his agent ensures there is a private autopsy done. |
nairalanda1:Well said, those same friends would have more to gain by him being alive so why would they poison him? Being an athlete and living abroad, he won't have the same tolerance for food that they, presumably living in Nigeria, would have. |
