SlavaUkraini: A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Kenneth Okonkwo, has alleged that the assassination attempt on former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was by the government or its agents.
HIGHESTPOPORI: Una don dump Umahi and Okorocha that are in Apc,now it's till Soludo that is not in Apc
I have never batted for Umahi or Rochas. Ever since Prof dabbled into politics, I have been behind him 100%.
As I have said before, if President Tinubu can step down for him in 2027, I won't be upset at all.
We are overdue a Prof presidency, one that would hopefully build on what President Tinubu is doing. Even if he starts from scratch, I am very ok as I know us as Nigerians would benefit no how no how.

Peter Obi has no gravitas, no charisma and no strategic ability to see a few years ahead, nothing but cho cho cho.
He has no chance against President Tinubu, not a hope in hell and that is the honest truth that Obidients will hate to hear, however the truth wears no disguise.
Make nothing happen give Peter Obi o, or this country will not contend us o. You can rig him out as usual and there will be no problem, but assassinating him will spelt doom for the whole country. Let a scratch be found in his body, that is when you know that Peter Obi is our eternal leader.
Una don start to beat una chest again, nor bí di same una tok about Nnamdi Kanu.
I hope nothing happens to him but if it does, you people wouldn't do jack, except maybe more sit at home days in Aligbo.
TheBizGenius: Nairaland is obviously filled with clueless teenagers and probably poverty ridden adults.
1. Someone on Oyegun's level will have cctv on his fence. There is no way he won't have video coverage of his gate. Haba. Make una think.
2. This is the second time ADC office would be attacked. It's an office for God's sake. Every office building now comes with CCTV. Even if you no need am, one small company would have come to "market" it to you. And it is way too cheap not to buy for your own security.
Again, the only way you would believe this is either you don't have cctv in your house or office.
Well said, the newly admitted ADC tenants claimed that the cars followed them and then waited till they got out of the car to go inside Oyegun's house to start shooting at the car. Who does that?
You know they want to trend, which is Peter Obi's speciality. If not, which kind of animal would stand near the bullets that was used to shoot at them and start doing press conference.
How did they know the place had been secureity cleared of the potential assailants for example if it wasn't a set up?
ThiefnubuBandit: APC, a known criminal party of the most corrupt and evil set of creatures want Nigerians to believe that the recent assignation attempt on Peter Obi and John Oyegun was fuelled by internal party wranglings, but sane Nigerians know that the evil APC is responsible. They're already scared of the influences of Peter Obi. The hands of Gbola Tinumbu the political fraudster, the illiterate governor, Monday Okpebholo, the short Auchi dwarf, Oshiomole, and the Ikwerre ogogoro drinker, Wike are clearly in this. Sane Nigerians know. We can't be deceived.
Why would APC care about ADC in Edo state? A party without substance or substantial people. In the state. Is it the outsider Akpata that couldn't get 10k votes in the last gubernatorial elections or E pa Oyegun that no one remembers when he was governor?
Maybe LP in Edo state were unhappy that Akpata was leaving, more likely ADC Ẹdo state attention seeking like when they set fire to their own headquarters.
inoki247: LMAO In my Estate alone no by mouth 100 people will come out for me I go to Estate meeting steadily I engage in our monthly community service and even our WhatsApp group I'm active...
Honestly, forget where I presently live sef, the polling unit of the place I was brought up in, like you and without boasting, even though a lot of people have moved on, I can still claim at least double figures without a word of campaigning even if I don't win.
Instead of this oga to check himself as to why only 7 people see him fit to vote for him in his PU, oga dey blow grammar.
Bia, nor bi only ya mandate dem tiff, dem don tiff ya sense ontop, oga Dr.
Anyway, as others have intimated on the thread, lots of charge and bail lawyers waiting to help seperate him from his money, ṣebi sense still far from am.
Ofunaofu: Of course, it was staged, orchestrated, and executed by the current Edo State government, which had threatened Obi not to set foot in Edo State.
They didn't threaten him not to come Nwanem, he was told to clarify with the governors office when next he is coming.
The last time he came to Benin, it was mayhem as people were killed because he was sharing monies to cult boys that were hailing him and they kpaid themselves over the sharing formula.
If he had told the governor, which he didn't clearly disobeying the top security officer of the state's clear orders, he would have had some security to follow him.
Of course, ADC knew what they were doing, they had already firebombed their headquarters and now they have set themselves up with shooting at empty cars.
Who the hell is Akpata to be important enough for anyone to disrupt his nonsense where belle face transfer from LP to ADC, who knows him in Benin politically?
Peter Obi catching cruise after his AMAC FCT candidate lost woefully.
ogaemma: Controlled by poverty. Anywhere belle face ball face. Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa and Former Governor of the Mid west Region Brigadier General Samuel Ogbemudia both of blessed memory are from Igbanke. So what concerns Igbanke with the Anioma people. By geography Igbanke is in Edo State. Politicians using poverty as a weapon to control Kings.
Talking about the great Ogbemudia, he will turn in his grave if Igbanke suddenly became part of Anioma state.
This is considering the major issues he had with soldiers from that proposed part of Delta state just before the civil war. They identified as Biafrans and E Pá Ogbemudia didn't with serious consequences including attempts on his life.
Stephen0mozzy: Which one una con don full Benin Attire na 😁. Benin Culture too beautiful. Oba gha to kpere! Iseeee!
Ìgbànke, like Usẹn on the other side, are border people which means they straddle two cultures.
I believe this latest push for Igboness, which is all well and good, is spurred by the fact that the Ọba (gha tọ kpẹre baba), suspended the local chief for some misdemeanours.
Oga suspended Okhaigele now suddenly realises that he is no longer under the Ẹdo kingdom but an Anioma man.
Good luck to Ìgbànke wherever the end up in the next reshuffle.
attackgat: ... the thugs followed their vehicle, luckily they were already inside chief Oyegun house before the thugs opened fire destroying several cars and causing yet to be accounted number of injuries
So the thugs followed their vehicle and the ADC "bigwigs" couldn't call the police while that was happening, then the thugs waited for them to go inside Oyegun's house before they opened fire destroying cars.
placeofallure: Don't bother explaining to that dunderhead. If you check his status with his gf now, he'd be under serious extra-terrestrial manipulations.
Another sad specimen that refuses to take responsibility for her actions but instead wíll prefer to claim bring manipulated.
avalancheMedia: They came with pens and correction fluid. Not guns, not soldiers — just ink, Tipp-Ex, and the quiet confidence of people who knew nobody would stop them.
Until you Obidients accept the fact that you are a noisy minority and lose gracefully instead of making wild spurious claims solely based on fantasy, losing in elections will continue to be your portion.
okrote4real: I drove around Wike’s usually busy but now empty roads today and visited some polling units in Dutse Alhaji. The turnout was very low and honestly not encouraging. Even some electoral officers, party agents, and observers confirmed that many people who came to vote did not wait for collation.
Almost every major junction was barricaded by soldiers in full military gear, as if this ordinary LGA election was a war situation. If I hadn’t properly identified myself, I might have been subjected to frog jumps, just like some men I saw kneeling at the Sokale roundabout.
The Kubwa Expressway was unusually free as I drove around to observe what was happening. On my way to Dutse, I encountered another military barricade at the Dutse market, which forced me to divert through Dawaki to avoid unnecessary delays.
Overall, everywhere felt deserted, just like many of the polling units. I sincerely hope the general elections will not follow this same pattern.
zegxy: Why are you like this ? Haba ADC is fast becoming your obsession the way you made Peteri Obi .
Let me ask you a question ; in your right frame of mind, do you ever imagine or see ADC, a party formed a couple of months ago winning an election in Rivers State local Govt council?
Oga, ADC wasn't formed a couple of months ago, they have existed for a long time and even contested in 2023.
Even the Accord sef, he hasn't complety settled them as they have broken out into two factions. The ones he has settled and the others that are waiting to be settled.
If the dancing governor had any sense, he will not contest again to avoid disgrace.
FSBoperator: In Edo state, the LP candidate for the governorship race whom Obi came out to support despite all feelers from Edo that the next governor must come from Edo Central lost woefully. This is Edo that was once the headquarters of Obidient movement but no more.
It was with this particular one that I knew his political career was dead and buried and he was a goner.
Whoever advised him to back another Ẹdo South candidate after 8 tumultuous years of an Ẹdo South candidate when all the political big wigs in Edo state, both in APC and PDP, had determined that Esan agenda was to be actualised, that person really did him wrong to start with.
Then for Peter Obí not to read the room and still think Edo state (or Ẹdo South) was behind him to proceed with the madness of campaigning for Akpata, that just said it all about him and his political intelligence and gravitas.
A shame actually as he was a bonafide third way, at one point, that was going to save us from the PDP and APC lack of regard for the electorate.
Putindbutt: 7 votes ontop say PitaObi and Atiku raise your hand.
Ọmọ, nor tok am ó, he for only get 3 votes if nor to say Obí and Atiku raise him two hand.
Atiku hand raising give am 3 votes, with Peter Obi hand raising, dat ńa one vote. So handraising give am 4 votes, good work all round ADC, una do well jàre.
UzorIyke: Abeg, someone should help me, is this not Chairmanship Election? I don't understand such celebrations.
So why was Peter Obi, and Atiku, on ground if it is (just) Chairmanship election?
We saw all the people that refused to go home at night when he was on the campaign trail for the AMAC council candidate, ṣebi it was only Chairmanship election.
WizardOfNG: Please stop being nice, cordial and accomodating to these people. Why did you not ask them, first and foremost, to name these "Yoruba elders" rather than seemingly agree with them some Yoruba elders "blasted" Tinubu ?
They can go around being hateful and extremist radicals portraying Obi a messiah all Nigerians must support, or be damned if they don't, yet they want to gaslight Yorubas for believing in and supporting Tinubu.
If you support Tinubu for the right reasons and based on the conviction he is best to be President then never allow anyone, as you do with bolded part in your post, make you feel duty-bound to explain that choice you've made and are democratically free to make.
What is wrong in been a "defender" of Tinubu if you believe he is doing well even as some, especially bigoted elements, cannot see that?
What those Obidients picking on you and other non-Igbos are doing is classic guilt-tripping of those they feel are susceptible to their emotional bullying, blackmail and gaslighting.
Don't make it easy for them then because the fact they gaslight you like this, and never someone like me, shows you are virtue signalling by playing to the gallery and failing to own your choices proudly.
Those targeting you do that because they perhaps note in you a fragility and a desire to be all things to all men they feel can exploit.
Fair comment ọmọ iya mi.
All you have said in your post is right and proper advice and I must confess that even Ọga naptu2 has more or less said the same.
I do emphasise my not supporting President Tinubu as I feel in certain cases, it needs stating as part of my response, putting that in context undermines the basis of the (nonsensical) Obidient's post I am responding to.
I know they don't care, aside the fact that it is also the truth, but I can't help stating it.
I do apppreciate your concern immensely and thank you for it.
I can confidently say that, despite having some fragility about me, not one Obidient has the requisite nous or capacity to take advantage of it, not one of them on this Platform at least. I have chewed and spat out more than they are combined.
Let's keep battling them as we are on the right side of truth and fairness and even though it might take time, they will eventually fold.
I wish you a blessed week ahead and once more, thanks for the heartening post.
Mbanda: aswani the defender of tinibu and electoral glitch, what do you have to say concerning this?
What do you want me to say, Mr Yoruba elder has an opinion and like you, has no proof of what he is saying.
I am also not a defender of President Tinubu or electoral glitch, whatever that means, just someone that understands that it would be electoral suicide if we start automating more things when we haven't gotten a proper handle on the parts we are already automating.
