Hosting the tigress and giving them 5000 dollars is an achievement ?? 😀😆🤣🤣🤣
I fervently believe, for them and the Falcons, it is.

These women win these African tournaments repeatedly and no government appreciates them and treats them as an afterthought.

They don't even get their allowances, despite winning tournaments, because NFF and NSC chopulate their money.

This time around, they are rightfully feted and treated like the victorious nubian Queens they are even before they have set foot back home.

Yes, that is an achievement of this government, one of the more important ones as it happens, bear in mind I did not vote for APC.
PoliticsRe: The Pathway To An Igbo Presidency by aswani(m): 10:31am On Jan 02
akpumping7720:
Let me begin by congratulating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in advance on his victory in the coming 2027 presidential election.

I have said it repeatedly on this platform: the most realistic pathway to an Igbo presidency in Nigeria runs through a sitting South-West president.

Politics in Nigeria—especially when it comes to dealing with the North—requires careful calculation and deep understanding. The Northern political establishment is not easy to outmanoeuvre. With their long-held “born-to-rule” mentality, power is something they believe they are entitled to, and they are often willing to assert it forcefully.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s emergence did not happen by accident. It was the product of careful planning and political permutations by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Obasanjo understood the health challenges of President Yar’Adua and deliberately positioned Jonathan as vice president. Many within the PDP caucus were unaware of this long-term plan, but Baba knew that the time had come for the goose that laid the golden egg to also have a taste of power.

Today, history appears to be presenting another opportunity—this time in the person of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Why do you think many governors from the Eastern extraction are increasingly aligning with him? Tinubu understands the Northern oligarchy. He has dined and wined with them. He knows their strengths, their fears, and their pressure points. More importantly, he has learnt from the mistakes of leaders like Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Chief MKO Abiola.

Consider the political drama that preceded the 2023 elections. Tinubu played the game masterfully. After becoming president, did you see him repeat those theatrics? No. He had achieved his objective.

Even if Peter Obi had won the 2023 election, would he have been able to restrain the Northern power bloc and their entrenched interests—many of whom control instruments capable of sabotaging the economy? That is a hard question many refuse to ask honestly.

The reality is this: any Igbo man aspiring to lead Nigeria must recognise the moment and align strategically. This is not the time for political isolation or moral grandstanding. It is the time to learn from the man who knows the road—the man who understands who to align with, who to avoid, and how power is truly negotiated in Nigeria.

Politics is not driven by emotion; it is driven by strategy. And those who want power must first understand how it is won.
A great post, thank you for the lesson

I myself am personally rooting for either Prof Soludo or Bianca to be the first Ndigbo president.

My hope is both of them are mindful of the "ides of Obidients" and acknowledge that they don't need their rabid support to be President despite being from the same tribe. Obasanjo did it with Ndi Yoruba so not a new concept.

I pray and hope that those two, who we all know already have the capacity to lead our great and beloved country, find a way to tap into the strategic thinking of President Tinubu and leverage it to become our number one citizen at some point.

Personally, I would actually accept them taking over in 2027 if they can find a good political vehicle to do so as I am confident they will build on President Tinubu's gains. Political reality suggests there is a waiting period for President Tinubu to complete his second term whilst the North complete theirs.

We can wait for them and will do. May the Good Lord keep us all to witness that day when a truly new dawn will set on the country and one of them is inaugurated.

Once more. I thank you for the lesson, it is overdue.
PoliticsRe: This Is Why Next President Must Jail Tinubu by aswani(m): 10:19am On Jan 02
franchasng:
You heard me so well.

For Nigeria to become better, we must start holding leaders accountable even after they have left office so that incoming Presidents will know that it's no longer game as usual.
At some point, you must get over Peter Obi's loss to President Tinubu at the last Presidential elections.

It is a must, the bitterness and bile seeping out of your post, and those you've made ever since the elections, is alarming.

You Obidients have started again, jumping up and own like frogs getting over excited because Peter Obí joined ADC, soon you will be deflated and start yet another campaign of calumny against President Tinubu.

Bia, let the hurt of the elections go, it was 3 years less 2 months or so ago.

PoliticsRe: Why 2027 ADC Presidential Ticket Favors Peter Obi by aswani(m): 8:47pm On Jan 01
fineboynl:
1. ADC currently has no structure. From the last presidential election. Peter Obi performed very well without political structure. Atiku will fail in any election without structure. And I don’t see any other person that can come close to likely perform like the way Obi did without a structure.

2. Southern votes, there is already speculation that election in the south would be compromised. And only Obi natural love and support can helped to suppressed the rigging. Even if electoral frauds and thuggery manipulate and announced fake results
You don't know a certain Atiku Abubakar.

Obi wouldn't even get VP unless Amaechi refuses it.

This is fun to read sha, bia, wen dis ADC go do dere Presidential primaries sef? I mus to mark am for my diary.

Segunbabba:
Since Peter Obi joined the ADC, we’ve seen a flood of sudden “political analysts” trying to force meanings where they have none. At the same time, APC stalwarts are busy making caricatures of the move, desperately branding Obi as a VP material.

Save this post.

We don’t just talk - we work with information far beyond your pay grade.

The ADC is expected to zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the South. When that happens, the contest will realistically be between Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi, with Peter Obi already enjoying the solid backing of Atiku Abubakar.

The projected 2027 ticket?
Obi / Tambuwal.

This is not speculation. This is political intelligence.

Happy new year
Political intelligence Kwa.

Nothing is coming out of ADC that doesn't have Atiku as President. There is speculation and there is hopeful delusion. Your Obí Tambuwal projected ticket is worse than hopeful delusion.

May political homelessness never be our portion.

Nigeria’s most celebrated political drifters, led by @PeterObi, have once again packed their bags, moving from one homeless shelter @NgLabour to another, this time the Association of Desperate Conmen (ADC).

It is a logical migration, from confusion to delusion, from moral posturing to naked opportunism, while maintaining ideological proximity to their friends in the Association of Present Criminals (APC).

Different logos. Same scam.
And you bet they will justify this too! #revolutionnow

You can’t try that with sultan of sokoto. Benin people are even good people if it was to be sokoto that man would be dead by now

Even if you don’t respect the king respect the people

Benin people we see our king as our father and we don’t joke with him.

So insulting the king online is like insulting the whole Benin people

You see the other one that received a slap in Manchester for same thing.

Honestly kapuepue did well to restrain himself and his boys before transporting Pedro to the palace.

The Hausa Fulani couldn't wait to restart their Jihad but this time soft jihad which Belewa deployed with good effect by uniting the north and giving opportunities to every northerner irrespective of tribe or religion. Belewa believed in due time the pagan provinces will naturally convert to Islam with such policies in place.
This is why the Eastern region was the most divisive owing to excessive ibo marginalization of the minority people ..
Good shout again sir. I think you meant Ahmadu Bello instead of Balewa but you are right, even the Yorùbá's in modern day Kogi, Sardaunna was bending over backwards to accommodate them and make them feel Northern despite their clear AG leanings. This particular thing you mentioned is understated and buried in the sands of time.

Per the Eastern Region, remember the Southern Cameroounians decided they no longer wanted to be marginalised in the Eastern region and left. I wonder who caused it?
