North Central are benefiting from this regime big tíme. Wow, North Central lo kan. |
LagosOrigin:How are they afraid of Peter Obí, ADC that he went to join have effectively told him to get lost, same as LP? He is now without a Party and no guarantee of competing in the next elections yet someone is afraid of the toothless tiger, bikonu rest with the cheerleading |
gidgiddy:You are not comparing like with like, the Boko Haram People repented and might have volunteered information as to how their organisation operates in order to be pardoned. Ohamdike still dey buga anyhow nor wan repent. I still hope they release him though with stringent conditions. Maybe all the IPOB, ESN monikers here on Nairaland can go and stand surety for him. |
Macphenson:Regarding Awolowo 1) The ones that (repeatedly) diverted Caritas trucks to military barracks instead of orphanages that they were headed to are the ones that starved Biafran children to death. Àwo wasn't in that group. 2) Ndigbo that had proof of their monies in banks were given them, same as those that owned property in ala Yoruba. The ones that claimed they had a million pounds (bear with my exaggeration, I am making a point) and didn't have any proof were given £20. Bear in mind that Ndi North, Nd'Edo and Ndi Yoruba were not giving shishi even though they were on the winning side, and none of them have ever complained. 3) Enough with the fallacies. |
I once went to South Africa on a business trip not long ago, my hosts knew I liked football so got one of their staff to take me to a local ABSA Premiership match. As soon as we settled in our seats, the man went to the bar and started chatering drinks, on their company account, about 4 cups at a time for our group which included him, me and a friend of his. I am not a heavy drinker and despite drinks piling up, he was sending his friend to go and get more. By half time, I had stopped drinking alcohol and had switched to water, there were at least 20 untouched cups of beer on the tray. He beckoned on to a group of people who were part of the band and who we knew had been eyeing the tray of beer, to take some. Of course, they rushed them and almost half of the drinks spilled sef. Some on me but I didn't mind. Now if that was today, I wonder if some people will start saying South Africa was finished because people were rushing drinks from a Nigerian. Let's be sensible, even the Obidients though they will find it tough, this Mamelodi Sundowns players giving people stuff is no big deal. |
Ibadanfarmroad:Chai, see vawulence! Ol boy you for take am easy nau, haba. |
Godblessme1:Lahọr wo wo, I haven't confirmed or denied being a Benin person. |
Godblessme1:I think Obaseki was there as a technocrat destroying everything, his battle with the Ọba (gha to kpere baba) suggests there was nothing Benin about him except in name and I guess Eghosa grammar school that he went to. Godwin has no house in Benin, we don't even know what village or LGA he is from and doubt how well he can speak the language. He had effectively and sensibly self exiled for now. When he sees sense and returns, we await him drinking water at the palace. This technocrat BS is is why I was vurulently against Asuen (and Akpata) as they are not local politicians and do not know what the people desire or how much work they need to do to please the people. Of course Lucky was worse than useless as well, sadly another Benin governor. I guess you are right, Obviedo as governor, ma ma try at all. Shame Akpawonder is indeed doing miracles, as did Oshio baba, and Ẹdo state is so lucky to have him. |
Smartcitizen:You are spinning away from the original point which you made and which was Peter Obí needs to work with The North or Atiku. It won't happen because Obidients have destroyed that bridge for him and he is too timid to call them to order. They are two interwoven entities. |
Kobojunkie:Every single relationship, never mind marraige, is toxic at some point and unhappy for one or both parties for long periods even. A lot of women bear the stuff they go through, as do men actually even more do nowadays, because of an acceptance of the reality of the benefits of children needing two parents. This is even when those parents have fallen out of love. Only in some instances is that toxicity so unbearable that the people should go their own way and those are as clear as day. Whilst the story of the op is suspect, clearly there is an iota of truth in the fact that some foolish women, and men, put others in a position whereby they destroy relationships, that can still be salvaged. The kicker being some of these advice givers are themselves in toxic relationships but are, I guess, sensible enough to cope with it. The point being, our maternal heroes of yore, for that is what they undeniably are, tolerated nonsense for the sake of their children, and we thank them for it and will forever be grateful. They weren't deceived as you claimed, they were matured enough to make sacrifices for us, something you in your haste (and delusion) in expecting some kind of perfect lovey dovey relationship would clearly never do. So to clarify, all relationships are toxic at various point, some also can't be redeemed after a stage. Ironically that stage being reached because others have stuck their noses in, those others who would not provide support to the parties when it all falls apart. Don't you again dare shame our great-grandmothers, grandmothers, and mothers for their endurance mode. It was done for very good reasons and lots of children, grand children and great grand children have benefited a lot from that sane, so called endurance mode. |
Deepspirituals:Take a look at that Comfort girl from Ibom Airlines and her father to see the answer you seek. The wig alone she wore costs more than all the clothes the dad wore combined. She clearly feeds him or the family sef from the proceeds of her endeavours. Power dynamics have changed in the families of these women. It has always been thus. |
Smartcitizen:Buhari reached out when he needed too, don't forget he also talked about soaking the blood of Baboons and dog or whatever. Obidients, on the other hand, will never reach out to anybody at any time. Perfect example is ADC, look at how quickly they ensured that went south for Peter Obi. Now that one has to pack his bags and look elsewhere. Obidients simply don't understand the concept of a means to an end as you described and as practised by Presidents Buhari and Tinubu. |
Smartcitizen:The problem with Peter Obí working with the North is his Obidients. After all the insults and abuses you people poured on them, even lately because Atiku isn't interested in stepping down for him, the so called North are not interested in having anything to do with him. Sowore did wrong in running away, he should have handed himself in rather than just go and visit the people he himself led to Kuje. Beware Greek Gods bearing gifts. |
Apcnewrecruit:He is not an Ọba and if he addresses himself as one, he needs tone reported to the police and arrested. |
PureFace1:Honestly there is no need for this, allow those Obidients to continue to express their pain at Peter Obí coming third in peace. |
shortgun:Oga make up your mind, did they steal his mandate or teach him a lesson? You have now dragged Peter Obi into a matter that doesn't concern him, if people start to talk about him and his obvious flaws now, you will start crying that he is private citizen and they should leave him alone. |
Politicstoday:The keyword is repentant which is something that can be said about pardoned Terrorists and bandits. Ohamdike sadly, has not shown any form of repentance to deserve a pardon. |
SeeWahala:He isn't an Ọba whoever they are, I suggest you file a petition against him so he too can be detained and prosecuted for false representation. Yoruna Oba's are from a Royal family lineage and have a kingdom they rule over. This nonsense must stop, Ndigbo should not tolerate foolishness, same as it seems Ndi Yoruba have decided to no longer do. |
Adaisback:Not at all, Obidients caused the division with the abuse and insults of everyone, including us neutrals, because we didn't agree Peter Obí was a saint. Then they turned up the hatred and bitterness after Peter Obí came third in the elections. |
Ezeama400:I believe Ndi Yoruba have no issues with Sarkin Fulani as he doesn't stir the pot. In truth Ndi Yoruba have no issues with Eze Ndigbo, or did not have until Obidients came to the fore as well as when the foolish Eze Ndigbo of Ajao estate threatened to bring IPOB to Lagos. At that point, Ndi Yoruba, quite rightly, decided enough was enough and decided those that want to settle peacefully in Ala Yoruba, like Sarkin fulani, will be tolerated while those that have no sense will be put firmly in their place. As I said before on an earlier thread, this Eze Ndigbo of Lagos state fundraising would have been full of Yoruba dignatories once upon a time, we only have Obidients to thank for causing rancour amongst those two tribes that lived together in relative harmony. |
igbosarejews:I am very concerned when children are not allowed to go to school regardless of tribe, especially those that want to. Start a thread on the ones in the North and I will add my opinion. I saw pictures and videos, they certainly were of Ndigbo children in school uniform suffering corporal punishment by fully grown men in Aligbo. |
igbosarejews:Fine, leave whenever you want but what has fully grown adults punishing children going to school on Mondays got to do with you leaving? What lies, we've seen the heartbreaking pictures |
Double post, apologies |
igbosarejews:Let the children go to school and condemn adults punishing them for wanting to do so. The pictures are there to see, there is no fairytale anything. I am glad your region is performing well in education, they are my fellow Nigerians and I am proud of them. Long may that continue despite evil brings stopping them from going to school on Mondays in the most heinous manner. |
This is why we need a strong opposition, look at what PDP that ruled the country for years has become, a total mess. |
Jennyclay:With the utmost respect, maybe you should be more selective about the men you hang out with, like appears to attract like as in your case. There are lots of truthful men out there but because they are not attracting you superficially, you don't look their way. Sorry Madam, remember that the older and more mature you become, the more you will see the futility of the things you used to be attracted to, Pẹ̀lẹ́! |
DyshApp:Sadly there isn't enough millionaires to go round and the ones that are certainly don't do exclusive. Good luck finding a match for your financial or social status, Anti. |
This is nauseating, we have a super thread about a hard working woman and less than a page in, some have sought to derail it with BS about Northerners and female sports and then suddenly we are into child marraige territory. This is a thread about a woman that has worked hard to get to play at the top of her profession, can't these people start their own thread about other things? Why derail it with falsehood, most of these people can't point to Kebbi state on the map, know nothing about it and would have no proof about the nonsense they have put down here. Can't some of you just move on if you have nothing to contribute, must we wade through your crap to learn about things on here? |
Option105:What is the lie, is the area West of the River Niger not an Ndigbo speaking and thinking area again. Kwale, Okpanam, Ogwash, Igbuzor etc. My personal lord and saviour is not a politician, I also am not APC or a President Tinubu supporter. If he wins South South or loses it to Peter Obí, that is his business. |
franklytru:You have used the right words and said it all, the level of delusion Obidients have is sky high, their Peter Obí currently is not in any party, yet they still think he can be influential in any elections. What a people. |
AMINDA:Ndokwa and that area are Bendel Ndigbo so it is not surprising the pain of the Peter Obí defeat still lingers over there in Delta North. Between Atiku, Obi and President Tinubu, I think President Tinubu will win South South as a region. You are a Northerner and are using the words Unity Begging Agbadorians, interesting. Are you as a Northerner not interested in the unity of Nigerians now? You want to bring up Árábà again, that's OK then. |
