BATified2023: so because obi won in Lagos that means he's more accepted than Tinubu in Nigeria?
Y not tell obi to go n become the president of Lagos since it matters most in all the election?
No wonder Kenneth okwokwo said Peter obi surrounded himself with people that reason like ekuke.
I know u are among d people that believed a president must win Abuja to become president?
Obviously with people who think like u around obi, he can never become president.
That's just d reality I don't think that poster you are responding to understands anything to do with anything. Once you floor Obidients with an argument, they just start catching cruise instead of tapping out and accepting they have been through a learning process. What a people! |

Its not a crime and I won't be arm-twisted into ceding my birthright in the name of a pseudo unity which is uniformity in actuality. Lagos exclusively belongs to the Yorubas and any other people there are mere settlers in the name of being Nigerian. I know you don't have any proof at all of this but it will be nice to know what dots you have connected to get from A to B and think this is true. By the way, I don't doubt that President Tinubu might have moles in other Party's, same as Atiku and Peter Obi would have theirs in APC. It's just the fact that you identified this mole in the manner you did that is incredible. Obidients, kai. |

Lagosians, of all tribes, need a strong hand to put them in line. It appears that the next governor after SanwoOlu might need to be made of sterner, no nonsense tolerating stuff.

LP is fielding candidates as well but Giringori refused to back any of their candidates.
So is it the same delegates in LP across all wards that will vote for him in the LP primaries ?
And why has he not defected to the ADC that he is now endorsing ? He endorsed all ADC candidate in the last recent local government elections for several States.
I don't understand Giringori at all.
Why is he still claiming to be in LP ?
Why can't he just defect to ADC? In a sense, I feel sad for Peter Obí that it has come to this (Obidients, I know he is a multi gazzilionaire that can buy me and my generation). The point being, the Obidient Movement was such a viable thing, ensuring politicians for the first time ever, were very scared that the people were ready to rise up to them. Now, the same Peter Obi is reduced to playing ethnic champion politics, with the trade fair stunt he pulled as the latest, and is now seen as having so little influence that no party wants him on board. Even the smaller Party's, like Accord, know full well that the money he will bring over is not worth the Wàhálà that his Obidients will cause. A shame really. |

iwaeda: It is getting clearer that LASG is doing sentimental cleansing. Can the same rule be applied to Ebute-Meta, Lagos Island, where houses are clustered without PLAN. Did you see the LASG press retort to Peter Obí over this matter. The owners of the illegal properties actually beat up their officials that went there to talk to them about regularising their properties. As far as they were concerned, it is federal land and despite being informed that Lagos state was the one was in charge of monitoring the structure, they totally refused to engage in talks. Now that the properties have been (rightfully) demolished, they are now claiming victimisation and have reached out to populist hypocrites like Peter Obí to make them out to be innocent. Just to remind Obidients on here, who have taken a cue of crying victimisation from their leader, that lots of Ndigbo with regularised documents, still have their buildings standing in that same Lagos. Why would you think because you are from a certain tribe, you can flout state laws with impunity? Even going as far as beating up officials of the state government. When did all this entitlement mentality start exactly? This needs to stop and sooner rather than later. |

Botragelad: Boy, you keep switching lanes. In your first reply you compared Hamas to the IRA and the UDF. Now you’re telling me Hamas “has nothing to do with immigration in the U.K.” Which one do you want me to believe? If Hamas is just like the IRA, then it proves my point, the IRA was monitored, infiltrated and finally disarmed by tough policies. Why is it suddenly “racist” to suggest tough policies on Islamist extremists?
You also say liberals ended slavery and so I shouldn’t question liberal immigration policy today. That’s like saying because Henry Ford invented the Model T, no one can criticize a bad Ford car today. Isn’t it possible for a movement to do something good in one century and something harmful in another?
“don’t tar all Muslims with one brush.” blah blah blah. Maybe you came up with that in your head or misread my post. Hamas won elections in Gaza, runs the schools, takes foreign aid, and fires rockets. You call that “a few deluded British Muslims” when thousands show up to march under Hamas flags in London? Are all those people “a minority” or is there a much larger ideological problem being imported into Britain?
You even say, “every subgroup has them, even Jewish people have a minority of terrorists.” Okay, but when a Jewish extremist commits a crime, the Israeli government arrests him. Hamas celebrates its killers, pays their families, and names streets after them. How is that the same?
Yes, i “focus on Hamas.” But when I do, you accuse me of “white power” and “right-wing anti-immigration rhetoric.” So which is it, do you want me to focus on Hamas, or stay silent because mentioning them might sound “Islamophobic”? Hahaha Are you sure you are responding to the right person, you starred taking about Hamas, I only said stop tarring Muslims with the same brush? Also how many threads do you want to start on this synagogue issue on Nairaland? Question immigration all you like but don't link it to Hamas or Muslim extremists, that is wrong and is the typical playbook of right wing extremists. Extremists by the way that don't see any difference between you and other immigrants. When Reform gets in over there, you think your pointing at bearded Pakistani of Bangladeshi people will save you from whatever it is they plan to do to immigrants àbi? That so called "Hamas" match, I am sure you realise it was well attended by people of all races. Not the one that Tommy Robinson led that was attended by his people and a few "tokens". By the way, it wasn't a Hamas match, it was a protest against what was and is happening in Gaza. I don't want to conflate matters to feed into your narrative but where on earth is a place levelled because it's being run by crooks and bandits. Where do you hear, screw the innocent people, we are flattening this place anyway! Once more, stop this. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: 4 People Injured After Stabbing Outside Synagogue In U.K., Police Say(photos) by aswani(m): 10:44pm On Oct 02, 2025 |
Botragelad: Why do you think you can gaslight me? The IRA was a nationalist paramilitary organization operating within the United Kingdom, not a global jihadist movement like Hamas. The British government never portrayed the IRA as representing all Catholics, and the Catholic Church itself condemned their actions. Hamas, on the other hand, was elected to govern Gaza, openly states in its charter that its goal is the destruction of Israel, and continues to fire rockets at civilian areas while rejecting every serious peace plan. How exactly is that the same thing?
You also bring up liberals ending the slave trade, but it was also Britain, a colonial power, that ran that trade for centuries before abolishing it. Does that mean modern Britons should never criticize a terrorist group because abolition eventually happened?
And since you mentioned Nigeria, would you equate Nigerians working honestly abroad with the fraction committing fraud, or would you focus on the individuals who actually do the crime? If so, why are you now demanding that people ignore Hamas’s crimes even though Hamas publicly claims them and celebrates them?
More importantly, when exactly did the IRA refuse a peace agreement as comprehensive as the Oslo Accords or the later peace initiatives offered to the Palestinians? When did the IRA have a UN-recognized state offered to it and turn it down? If Hamas is just “one group,” why does it still control Gaza, tax its people(pre Israel), and launch wars from densely populated neighborhoods?
And one last question, if Israel is supposedly committing “genocide,” why does Israel glgovernment repeatedly allow humanitarian aid, medical supplies, etc into Gaza even during war? What kind of “genocide” supplies its enemy all that? 🤷♂️ Rest, no one is gaslighting you, stop making sweeping generalisations about people because a very small minority of them do wrong. You have just jumbled up a list of stuff in your reply in a bid to justify your spewing white power right wing Anti immigration rhetoric. IRA are paramilitary operating blah blah blah, what difference does that make, they killed and maimed innocent people, same as The UDF on the other side, did anyone tar all Irish with the same brush as you did with Muslims in your post. What has Hamas behaviour got to do with immigration in the UK in the manner you tried to link it? You were talking about liberals and wokeness and berating them, I am telling you liberals are the reason you are are not someone's slave. That UK ran slave trade is immaterial, liberals are the ones that ensured Anti discriminationatory practices are no longer in plain sight and till today are still fighting for black people in western Europe against the onslaught of Anti immigration propaganda. Again you are talking to me about Hanas, Israel and genocide, things I have not referred to. If you have a problem with Hamas, focus on them, don't start making out that Muslim immigration in UK and Western Europe are linked to them. There might be a few deluded British Muslims that think they are fighting some kind of war against whatever, they are exactly that, a minority. Same minority as Caucasians in US that shoot people, same minority of IRA people that bombed places. Every subgroup has them, even Nigerians that do fraud and sell drugs overseas. Don't tar a majority with the same brush because some muslim did something stupid. Other people have and will do such. Even Jewish people have a minority of terrorists amongst them as do any other sub group. Once more, stop it. |

Botragelad: This is what happens when you let Islamists and other violent terrorists in under the excuse of being woke or liberal. The UK is now full of dangerous terrorists and nobody’s doing anything about it.
We warned for years but everyone thought it was cool to hate Jews. The Islamic state of the UK even went ahead and recognized Palestine. These terrorist attacks won’t free Palestine. Israel will always defend itself. Remember when the IRA bombed that same Manchester itself, killing and maiming a lot of people in the process as well as destroying buildings on the city centre. Was that also due to bring woke or liberal or whatever nonsense it is that you want to use to ingratiate yourself with whoever? By the way, it was these same liberals that ended the slave trade and without whom a black person like you would be treated worse than a family pet by white people till today. Why is it that when one person that is a Muslim does something horrible, people like you label the whole religion yet when IRA were bombing people for fun or when Caucasian people shoot and kill people in the US, you don't lump all white people or catholics as one and blame them. I am going to assume you are a Nigerian, would you be happy for people to treat you as a fraudster because Nigerians commit fraud? Think about it. |
