Romance / Re: Thanks Everyone For The Advice, I'm Grateful. (photos inside) by Ataegbiti: 9:13am On Mar 30, 2019
Guy, I feel ur pain. All u got to do is work on ur self esteem. U gat to like urself just dey way u re. In ur mind do u see urself as 'small'?
Own it that u re small (physically, only), but u definitely have sth going for u, sth for whc u re grateful to God for - - work on dat, develop dt side of u.
Don't let anybody treat u like crap because u re small, refuse to be looked down upon. Ur size is a gift from God. Be thankful for it. But don't become arrogant too.
Consciously seek out/do things that boost ur self esteem (not ur ego), improve ur all round development as a human being as u ve been advised before now ; read books, work out, eat healthy, rest well, don't abuse substance, learn new things/skills, etc
Be comfortable in ur skin, love u for u, don't be depressed on account of what ppl feel/think/say about u...
As for the ladies, try to embody what girls want in a man ; confidence, maturity, honesty, caring, a sense of direction in life (dat includes having sm dough) n u ll b fine (in fact there are ladies out there hu already like u d way u re)
Bottom line, like you for u, love u for u, b ur number 1 cheer leader

Jiggaz ma Nigga!
Keep em coming.
The greatest gift God ll give any man here on earth is for the man to have his sin forgiven n to know for certain that he has peace with God. With this assurance you can confront any challenge life throws at you, knowing fully well that your eternity is secure.
All of mankind has this need--assurance of peace with God. It is man's greatest need--not food, not shelter, not clothing, not wealth, or the so-called 'good life'. It is when you have your eternity sorted out that you can begin to dream of enjoying life on earth. Anything short of this is foolishness.
Luckily, God has promised to show himself to anyone who would sincerely seek Him.
Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.
Shallom.

What a refreshing, well-thought way of re-presenting the message of the gospel!
Dat's the gospel -- God saving man, a gift He bestows. Ours is to acknowledge our sinfulness n helplessness in saving ourselves n believing, thru faith, on Christ's finished work on the cross. Having done/experienced this, the Bible assures us, we HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!
Believer, rest assured.
NO ONE can live a victorious christian life without this assurance of salvation. If the gospel is anything other than this then it is no gospel. God saving us is the good news. Man trying thru whatever means to 'make' heaven (or save himself) is the bad news. Were it possible for man to reach God in his filth, Christ would not have come to die. And if God must do the saving, He must do it alone. There is no room for any man to glory in his salvation--that would be the very sin of pride in the very presence of God in heaven. God must and will take all the glory for our salvation. It is a terrible thing to try to complement God's work with your feeble n filthy efforts at righteousness.
Accept God's gracious offer of free n full salvation thru faith and you "will be ready when the Lord shall come".
Jiggaz, ds Olamide Obire guy, how can I meet him?
Btw, thanks for always bringing his works on here. I look forward to this every Sunday. Keep it up bro.

Religion / Re: The Rapture Will Not Happen Until Christians Have Faced The Great Tribulation by Ataegbiti: 11:37am On Nov 18, 2018
Albhagdadi my broda, I m not with you on this. For starters, a pre or post tribulation view of rapture is not a fundamental of the Christian faith. What is most important is salvation thru Christ alone, thru faith alone. It seems to me me that we are agreed on that and I can call u 'broda'.
Now on the tribulation. I wish I had the time to use the Bible to back up my stance but I don't. It is a wont of time, not of biblical fact.
A careful study of the Bible will reveal that Jesus will 'return' to earth twice. First for His church, and then, to church the rest of the world.
On His First return, believers will be caught up into d clouds, out of the earth to meet him. We would be with him for 7 years. In that 7 years will the tribulation be. At end of the 7 years, He will then, along with His saints, physically descend to the mount olives, the exact same spot that He ascended. This will be a global event. The whole world will witness it. It will be the fulfilment of what the angels told the onlooking Apostles wen Christ ascended - that this same man u saw being taken up, u will also see him come down again.
We will reign with Him on the earth for a thousand years.
There's no sense in subjecting Christ's church to the wrath of God. For that is what the tribulation is! God's wrath on people hu chose not to believe the claims of Jesus the messiah. For we, the church, weren't appointed on to wrath. 1 Thessalonians 5:9.
By aligning with Christ, we will not have to experience God's wrath in any form. God will be unfair to Christ, the whole point of calvary will be defeated if God still has to punish us
I hope we all grow to maturity on this matter.
God bless you.

Jiggaz, Albhagdadi, Doughziay, u guys re the bomb!
I m always on the look out for those hu bliv n preach the true, pure, undiluted gospel of Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ thru faith alone. I m happy to high heavens when I find one.
The dearth of preachers hu understand God's grace /plan of salvation is very depressing to me. All our 'celebrated' preachers don't even understand the very basic foundation of our faith - GRACE!
U re not a christian if u aren't saved n if u don't understand God's grace thru whc He saves us, I don't know how u became (or claim to be) a christian.
People need to hear the true gospel. The sad thing is, wen this pure n simple message of the gospel is presented to them, they would rather hold on to their man-made plan of saving themselves by working to complement God's grace. It breaks my heart!
Brothers, thank you for spreading the true gospel. God will surely bless you..

I just want to know if dislike for a person really wipes out every atom of reasoning, if posts on Nairaland is really a reflection of Nigerian youths mentality, I am really afraid for the future of this country and will actively fight for recolonisation.
If cattle rustlers are mostly Fulani, how come they attack mostly non fulani farmers for killing their cattle? We never hear of fulani attacking fulani 'rustlers'. The peaceful farmers in Kogi, Benue, Plateau, etc, are fulani rustlers?

I have respect for oyedepo. God has used him to do a lot great things for his Kingdom. He founded two universities in Nigeria with facilities comparable to what is obtainable outside the shore of this country and he has plans to build another one in Ghana.
His achievement alone is enough for anyone to swallow whatever he says as the ultimate truth coming from God.
In as much as I believe in giving to the church, the idea that a Christian must tithe is one that even Bishop oyedepo will not convince me to accept. It is obvious that such practice were done away with all the other loads of practices recorded in the old testament.
The only giving acceptable and recorded in the new testament is free will donation. Any other giving is nothing but manmade.
However those who feel they must tithe are free to do so but saying that those who don't tithe are cursed and going to hell is nothing but madness.

It's a pity if this is true.
RIP to the dead, especially the innocent ones.
All same human beings should abhor violence.
But if there's a 'they' and an 'us' and a supposed arbiter. And the 'they' chooses to be perpetually uncivilized and barbaric. And the supposed arbiter keeps mum, arms akimbo... (The 1st primary instinct is self - preservation). What do you expect....? That the 'us' stay civil civil and reasonable?
Like many have said, nobody has the monopoly of violence - when you are forced to, MATCH BARBARITY WITH BARBARITY!
You won't see all of the fulanis atrocities on nl.
In one particular case that happened close to me, an entire family was almost wiped out in one single night. The mother was pregnant, 'they' cut open her tummy. Why? Just one cow was killed out of several other trespassing cows.

Stop and reason like a sensible 21st century human being. People, human beings, not cattle, have the right to move any where. And even with People, barging into my house/property uninvited is trespass.
You allow cattle to graze untamed, eat up farmer's crops, compact the soil, chase out wild game that we hunt, and you put that a par with the Fulani's freedom of movement?
Not to talk of the danger Fulani herdsmen pose to safety of lives and property in their host communities. The gun/machete -wielding, trigger-happy Fulanis deliberately violate people knowing they are above the law.
Do you just like/love violence, hate peace or do you claim to be ignorant of all these atrocities? If you are not afflicted by any of these, suggest a way forward toward peace.
You want Arewa Republic. Restructure! You won't restructure. Let the Igbos go! You won't. Embrace civilized/modern ways of life! You won't. I mean, is there a way to coexist peacefully with people of other culture/tribe that you can think of?

Religion / Re: 5 Benefits Of Praying In Tongues by Ataegbiti: 4:06am On Jun 19, 2017
Every true believer is baptized by the Holy Spirit. But not every believer gets the gift of speaking in tongues.
Like every other gift of the Holy Spirit, you don't determine what you get. God decides that.
And then, 'tongues' in the Bible means a known earthly language, not gibberish.
In a Church meeting, not more than 3 should speak, and in turn. And there must be someone to interpret. Otherwise the speaker should do it privately.
On another plane, there are 'sign' and 'serving' gifts of the Holy Spirit. The sign gifts are the spectacular ones. Examples are tongues, predictive prophecy, miraculous healings, etc,. Those ones (spectacular gifts) have ceased. There were for the foundation of the church, before the new testament was complete.
In essence, tongues is not for today. The fact that it gives some an emotional 'feel-good' doesn't
mean it is heaven-approved.
Not everything we see western christians do on tv is Biblical (e.g women keeping uncovered hair in church)
So 'test the spirits, hold on to what is good /true'
May God lead us to the truth.....
Nairaland / General / China Scraps One - Child Policy by Ataegbiti: 11:10pm On Oct 29, 2015
China will finally end the restrictive one-child policy that has reduced its
population by 400 million over the past 35 years.
Communist party officials announced plans to “fully adopt the policy that one
couple is allowed two children,” reports The Washington Post (among other media
outlets). The change marks an effort to address China’s aging population and
“promote balanced population growth, stick to the basic state policy of family
planning, and enhance population growth strategy.”
Demographic factors, especially in recent years, pressured China to adapt its
controversial policy, which has resulted in a gender imbalance due to widespread
sex-selective abortions. (If a couple is only allowed one child, many have
preferred that the child be male.)
But the government's move does not address the root problem, says Reggie
Littlejohn, the president of Women's Rights Without Frontiers, whose group has
fought against China's one-child policy for years.
"Instituting a two-child policy will not end forced abortion, gendercide or family
planning regulations in China," said Littlejohn in a statement. "Couples will still
have to have a birth permit for the first and the second child, or they may be
subject to forced abortion...It's the fact that the government is setting a limit on
children, and enforcing this limit coercively. That will not change under a two-
child policy."
CT noted when China first relaxed the policy in 2013, allowing up to 11 million
couples to have a second child. But earlier this year, Premier Li Keqiang admitted
that the reform had failed to trigger a surge in births: only 10 percent of eligible
couples took advantage of the opportunity, with just 470,000 babies born as a
result.
Top leaders hinted at an eventual two-child policy, as government-sponsored
research has been recommending for years. China banned late-term forced
abortions under the policy in 2012, although the significance of this move was
disputed among opponents of the one-child policy.
Since its implementation in 1980, the controversial policy was never uniformly
enforced; most rural families could have a second child if their first was a girl.
But the effects of the aging population combined with the gender disparity remain
stark: China now numbers 116 boys to 100 girls (37 million more men than women
total), and a generational imbalance of a rapidly aging workforce and too few
workers supporting retirees.
Christian groups have long advocated for ending the one-child policy. CT
interviewed All Girls Allowed founder Chai Ling on saving China's daughters, China
Aid founder Bob Fu on where abortion meets human rights, and Nicholas Kristof
of The New York Times on waking up the church to gender injustice.
CT's steady coverage of the one-child-policy includes a feature on gendercide,
examining how sex-selective abortion in Asia has taken 163 million girls yet the
gospel is slowly turning the tide.
CT also looked at whether praising incremental progress undercuts advocacy, as
well as the detention and escape of blind human-rights lawyer Chen Guangcheng
and whether pro-life groups misrepresented his advocacy. http://www.christianitytoday.com/gleanings/2015/october/china-scraps-one-child-policy.html

My brother, this covert genocide is not only in Plateau and Benue alone. It is in Kogi too. That is what you get when a certain group's culture /religion is synonymous with EVIL. If not the devil himself, which normal, flesh-and-blood human being, with a conscience will not '' live and let live '' on God's earth. For humanity's sake, it is not your earth. Every ethnic group, every people on earth has the right to exploit the resources in the earth. Why not let other people who, ordinarily, do not constitute a threat to your existence, Why not let them live in peace?
This menace may remain intractable on this side of eternity, but be rest assured that everyone's allotment in hell is directly proportionate to the degree of evil he/she perpetrates in this life.
On that final Day of Reckoning evil, death, the devil and all who yielded themselves as willing tools in the devil's project will REAP THE PROCEEDS OF THEIR ENTERPRISE.

First of all, she's not some ornament made of fragile material. I really dislike it when some guys say things like, "I don't wanna hurt her feelings by saying a, b & c". Who cares? Tell her you aren't interested if you aren't & let her deal with her own emotions. If she displays some borderline personality traits by becoming unhinged at the rejection, then you take the legal route. A "normal" woman WILL leave you alone after you tell her you aren't interested. Hurt feelings WILL be there but that's again none of your business.

I doubt she's normal though, so good luck to your friend trying to get rid of her.
No offences intended, u sound too harsh for a lady.
