A university student and unionist at the Benue state university Makurdi, Lubem Terkula has cried foul on Facebook as his girlfriend of many years whom he has sacrificed so much for was recently engaged by a lecturer at the university, Comr Ortiv.

He wrote

Surprisingly, this afternoon for me, my Girlfriend has indeed finally engaged, regardless of my investment and borrowings to keep her happy.

Nothing is painful like watching ur ex-girlfriend been proposed by a lecturer whom u suspected to be the cause of ur separation.
A university lecturer once told us in a GST class that these girls are for them, until today the meaning of that statement has been echo to me again as I weep.

Did one need to be told why a broke ass guy can't date or keep a beautiful girl?
Such a guy will only end up losing her and being sorrowful after borrowing to keep her happy.

And university this days ladies have turned it into something else, its fun having a relationship in sch because u both would support eachother in studies and ideas ( Not those ideas in nightclass together O lol) on small scale basis.

In an effort to eradicate poverty by educating children, a young social entrepreneur and philanthropist, Victor Hilenen Aben has within the week organized a programme tagged to educate and sponsor internally displaced children living in the #IDPcamps tagged “IDPcamp2school” at St. Theresa's Catholic Church Camp in Yola, Adamawa state.

The programme which targeted children living in IDP camps in Adamawa State is aimed at changing their lives for the better.
In an Interview with the Coordinator of #IDPcamp2school at the launch of the programme explained that the purpose for organizing the programme is to address the challenges faced by Internally Displaced children in the society.

He said that the children are displaced due to the insurgency that rocked the northeastern part of the country as well as the middle belt which made a lot of families to lose their source of livelihood and can’t afford to send their children to school.

Hilenen said that the project will be a continuous process as he plans on taking it to other IDP camps in order to touch the lives of the children positively.

He added that their next project is to establish summer classes to make them ready for junior WAEC or even SSCE.
He lamented that raising funds for the project was not an easy task, adding that some children have the desire to further their education but are unable because they can’t afford it.

Hilenen therefore, appealed to the state government and other well-to-do citizens to support the project to educate the future generations.
One of the beneficiaries Daniel Francis appreciated Victor Hilenen and his team for initiating such project, he said that insurgency made them abandoned their town and ever since things have not been easy for them.

The Coordinator, Mr Hilenen Aben also celebrated his 30th birthday with the IDP’s and his partners from Thinking Cap Literacy Initiative and Big family foundation among others.

Ongoing in Gboko: Operation cut down your hair.

Jemgbagh youths who are linked to APC chieftain in Benue state, Sen George Akume stormed Gboko main market this afternoon with operation "Say no to cultism" and they are forcefully cutting down people's hair as shown in the pictures below. According to the APC youths, anyone who keeping long hair is a cultist and should be dealt with accordingly.

The presidential flag bearer of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Nigeria's former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the killings of over 100 Nigerian soldiers by the Boko Haram terrorists in Borno state, Nigeria.

Atiku who observed his 72 birthday and the 13th year founding of the American University of Nigeria (AUN) in low key over the killings called for one point silence in honour of the gallant soldiers.

He also called on the government to do more by protecting the lives of all Nigerians, saying every life matters.
