Wike used to be my hero, by his recent actions am having a rethink.

His problem is political immaturity. Even if he didn't support Atiku initially he could have been more discreet and diplomatic about it because Atiku has more supporters in SE/SS than Tambuwal and Saraki combined as results have shown. No permanent enemies in politics but permanent interests. He should grow up.

Wike should go and sit his fat yansh somewhere. I was on ground, it was free and fair. He should join the rest of the party and unite towards 2019.

Well, if we are to go by results of recent governorship elections, you might be right. Maybe he lacks the tactics to lead the party to victory. The ultimate test of his leadership would be how he will manage the fallout of the upcoming convention.

I disagree. PDP has a better chance of taking over that region than APGA. Apga is too small. The party may have to bankrupt Anambra to come close to achieving what you are saying. Anambra lacks the charisma and wherewithal to spread the party beyond the state like ACN was able to. My opinion though.

If APC share 500, PDP should share 1000. Tit for tat.

That is why I said I am not surprised. He simply doesn't know where to draw the line between loyalty and betrayal. He can betray his own wife and kids for the sake of ambition if need be. I am sure Wazirin Adamawa has more insight into his character by now.

This Saraki fellow is an arrogant opportunist, coward and backstabber. His jab at restructuring is a subtle attack on Alhaji Atiku Abubakar whom everyone knows is the aspirant championing it the most, and that is totally uncalled for and unwarranted. He doesn't yet have the ticket and he is running his uncouth mouth. But I won't say I am surprised.

A group known as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) New Youth Circuit has urged the party’s leadership to field Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode, as its automatic candidate ahead of the 2019 elections in the state.

The group made the call in Abuja on Wednesday following the reports of a feud between Ambode and APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, which has seen the party’s leader reportedly backing another candidate in the race.

Williams Oladipo, who is the group’s spokesperson, also made exceptions to reports that PDP has offered their automatic ticket to oil tycoon, Femi Otedola.

Oladipo alleged that Femi Otedola was Tinubu’s alternative candidate and that he has decided to use him as a bait, to lure the cash strapped party in the state.

“Ambode should be embraced by the PDP. Having the governor of Nigeria’s most important state will bolster our party’s chances in the 2019 general elections as we seek to remove the failed government of Muhammadu Buhari.

“The party must not throw away this chance to consolidate its effort to take back power in 2019.

“Ambode will bring people and a government machinery behind him, that is what we need now,” he said.

Interesting development. Though i like Ambode, but I must say that second term should not be a 'right' for any governor in Nigeria, you must satisfy your constituency and live up to expectations. Let us see if this will further deepen our democracy. May the best person emerge.

The only place Saraki can get anything close to an impressive crowd in the North is in Kwara. Outside Kwara he is a nobody. He is just not a crowd-puller. Not his fault though.

This man is the hardest worker and most prepared amongst all the candidates. It will be very unfortunate for the country if he's denied the rare chance of serving at the highest level thereby depriving Nigerians of an opportunity to save what is left of this country. PDP must get it right.
