Danzakidakura:
you try by avoiding the main question of Bullion van on the eve of election, how many private individual have you seen with two bullion van stock with cash, we believe if prosper investigation is to be conducted Buhari will be indicted. So stop being a hypocrite and forget about ATIKU. Stand for what is right. You are one of the problem Nigeria is in a mess today.

You must have a serious comprehension problem Mr. man. If you have problem with Tinubu bullion van go and open a separate topic about that. I am only saying my feelings about what Sagay said and he didn't mentioned any bullion van. And I can't forget about Atiku because some misguided people like you also try to question Turaki's source of wealth since leaving customs service and serving as VP many years ago, as if such men are supposed to become broke or less wealthy after leaving government. If you don't know, Tinubu and Atiku are long time business associates with stakes in Intels. Instead of worrying about how others made their wealth, double your hustle and go and make your own money Mr. Man.

I am an unapologetic Atiku supporter but I find it strange when some people speak as if Tinubu is suppose to becoming poor or his wealth should be less because he was once a governor. That is absolutely nonsense. He has been out of office since 2007, are his detractors suggesting that he should suddenly become poor as an ex-governor or not do business and prosper out of office?? Some people should receive brain.

I don't think this is connected to the border closure issue, though some Ghanaians may use that as yet another excuse to carry out this latest incident.

Ghanaian traders have been repeatedly taking this same action against Nigerians trading in their markets long before now. They claim they can't compete with the Nigerians whom have better access to funds to compete with them in their own markets. undecided

Even Nnamdi Kanu that stepped on many toes in igboland still got people that were willing to take the risk of standing as surety on his behalf, including those he had once abused publicly.

But for Sowore to be having this kind of problem up till now since he was originally granted bail, implies that he may have gone too far in his activities and lost a lot of goodwill amongst both friends and enemies. undecided

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have killed Ayuba Chashe and abducted his two children at Yebu community in Kwali Area Council of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

The Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Mr Danladi Chiya, confirmed the development to newsmen in Kwali on Tuesday.

Chiya said that the incident happened at midnight on Monday when the gunmen attacked the community.

The chairman condemned the attack on Yebu community that led to the death of the man and the abduction of his two children.

He assured residents everything possible would be done to get the perpetrators to book and the children released from captivity safely.

He commiserated with the affected family and assured that there was collaboration between security agencies to make sure that the kidnappers are apprehended.

Chiya urged the community to cooperate with security agencies and report any suspicious movement to curb the menace in the area.

When contacted, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Anjuguri Manzah, said he was going to make findings and get back to our reporter.

But he did not respond when our correspondent called twice.

Crime / 8 FCT Residents Regain Freedom From Kidnappers After Paying N5m Ransom by AtikuNetwork: 10:14pm On Oct 13, 2019
Published October 13, 2019

By Adelani Adepegba, Abuja

Eight of the 10 persons abducted last Monday by unknown gunmen at Pegi, a sleepy community in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, have been released.

Our Correspondent learnt that the victims were freed by their abductors after paying over N5m ransom.

Many of them were reportedly molested by their captors over the failure of their family members to meet the ransom demand.

A resident who spoke on condition of anonymity said the eighth victim was released on Sunday, adding that two others were still in the custody of the gunmen.

He said a victim, identified as Abdulmajeed Dayo, who was visiting a friend in Pegi, was abducted alongside the commercial motorcyclist taking him to the community.

The source said, “Dayo was released on Friday after spending five days with his abductors.

“He said they were not given any food by their captors and that the hoodlums beat anyone whose family failed to provide the ransom demanded.

“Dayo further explained that the family of the abducted commercial motorcyclist paid over N500,000 which the gunmen grudgingly accepted out of sympathy.

“Other victims were said to have paid more than that, with the gunmen realising over N5m.”

Confirming the release of the victims, Chairman, Pegi Community Development Association, Mr. Isaac Taiwo, said he saw some of the freed victims, including a 12-year-old boy.

Taiwo disclosed that security had been beefed up in the community by a team of policemen, civil defence officers and vigilante group.

He said, “The problem is that the hoodlums are taking advantage of the bad roads leading to the community.

“The lack of infrastructure in Pegi is responsible for the insecurity and the absence of social and economic development in the community.

“We hope the FCT Administration would fulfil their promise to rehabilitate the road as soon as possible.”

The FCT Police could not be reached for comment on Sunday, as the Command spokesman, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, failed to respond to several calls to his phone.

Politics / Flood Submerges Four Communities In Obiano’s Council Area by AtikuNetwork: 4:44pm On Oct 13, 2019
https://thenationonlineng.net/flood-submerges-four-communities-in-obianos-council-area/

October 13, 2019

By Nwanosike Onu, Awka

Four Communities in Governor Willie Obiano’s Anambra East local government area have been submerged by flood with residents losing millions.

The communities are Mkpunando, Eziagulu Otu, Umundeze and Enugu otu

As a result, the Governor has met with members of the State Emergency Management Agency SEMA, the Nigerian Red Cross Society, the Navy among others to look for ways of getting it right in those flooded areas.

Some of the residents had raised the alarm that if nothing was done by the state government urgently, communities would be as good as forgotten.

One of the displaced persons, Mr Izuchukwu Nnoli, pleaded with Government to come to their aid as the flood had taken over their homes and farmlands.

According to him:“This 2019 flood is a terrible experience. I call on the state government to do something about the flooding because farming is our only source of livelihood,’’

However, the State Government, had pledged immediate attention to persons displaced as a result of 2019 flooding in the coastal areas across the state.

In his meeting with the agencies at his home town, Aguleri at the weekend, Obiano said his government would do everything within its capacity to ensure that health and food needed of the displaced persons were made available

He gave the directive to all relevant agencies to ensure that transportation facilities were in place for immediate evacuation of those trapped in flooded areas.

Obiano said: “All medical personnel will also be on ground to assist in avoiding diarrhea outbreak. Food and clean water will be available for all too”

Executive Director, SEMA, Mr Cyril Agupugo briefed the governor on the happenings in Enugu Otu, Eziagulu Otu, Mkpunando and Umundeze communities in Anambra East LGA.

He said the current situation in the communities were scary as most of the houses were completely submerged.

“These areas are underwater with victims’ farmlands and household items worth millions of naira and they are calling for government’s immediate intervention,” he said.

The Transition Committee Chairman, Anambra East Council Area , Mr Obi Nweke urged the displaced persons not to panic and lose hope but to trust in God as help was underway.

“I believe things will be better in no distant time. Life is most important now as you can still re-acquire your lost property.

“When the flood becomes too much, we have no other option than to evacuate to safer places until water recedes then you can move back to your houses,” Nweke said.

While thanking the state government and SEMA, Nweke re-assured the displaced persons of immediate intervention by Government and in any little way he could also help.
