RIP Bob. Bob proved to the world that Africans are still Western/colonialists puppets. They made sure they brought Zimbabwe's economy to its knees just because he tried to free his country from the colonial legacy of white predominant land-ownership. Rest on comrade Bob. |
Politics › Why Fayemi, El-rufai Are Attending WEF Despite Fg’s Boycott – Onyeama by AtikuNetwork(op): 9:42pm On Sep 05, 2019 |
by Augustine Ehikioya, Abuja September 5, 2019
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, on Thursday, said that governors already attending the World Economic Forum (WEF) in South Africa is not an affront to the decision of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
According to him, those governors and other individuals were already in South Africa before a decision was reached for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to boycott the WEF due to xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
Briefing State House correspondents in Abuja, he also pointed out that the WEF is an international function, which was not organized by South Africa.
“The forum started a long time ago and the governors were already there before our decision was taken”, he said.
According to him, Nigeria only stated a position that its top officials would not be in Capetown to register its protest against the xenophobic attacks.
Some of the Nigerian governors who have gone ahead to attend the World Economic Forum included the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, and Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, and Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.
Other Nigerians participating at the forum include a former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili. https://thenationonlineng.net/why-fayemi-el-rufai-wef-despite-fgs-boycott-onyeama/

Dino stands zero chance because his tribe can't pull enough votes for him to win, igalas will team up with Bello if he (Dino) emerges. That's the fact. |
Politics › Re: IPOB Directorate Of State Closely Monitoring Its Citizens In South Africa by AtikuNetwork: 6:58am On Sep 04, 2019 |
Seems ipob and Igbos in general are indifferent about what is happening to Nigerians in South Africa because they know most of those killed there are Igbo drug dealers killing themselves. The truth is that most of the Nigerians killed in South Africa are Igbos and were killed by fellow Igbos. I think that explains the measured reaction of Igbos and ipobs.

What is happening is really unfortunate. What is happening in South Africa calls for sober reflection. The drug dealers of Nigerian origin that the xenophobic South Africans are using as excuse to kill, maim and loot innocent Nigerians are probably somewhere enjoying themselves, and are the ones killing more of themselves than the Southies. And now Nigerians are overreacting by looting shops instead of protesting peacefully. Everybody should just calm down.

Crime › Nigerian Kidnapped In Malaysia For Refusing To Share $49,000 From Love Scam by AtikuNetwork(op): 4:30pm On Sep 02, 2019 |
Bernama
KUALA LUMPUR: A Nigerian man who refused to share with his accomplices the proceeds obtained from victims of a love scam syndicate was kidnapped by his countrymen in Batu Caves last Saturday.
However, he was rescued by the police last Monday following raids at two hotels in Mahkota Cheras and in Selayang.
The victim, aged 32, was reported to have been kidnapped by six Nigerian men in two Honda City cars.
Gombak district police chief Samsor Maarof said in the raid in Mahkota Cheras, police arrested three men and a woman, while another two men were arrested in Selayang.
“All those arrested are Nigerians, aged between 21 and 35. The victim was found safe,” he told a media conference here today.
He said the Nigerian who was kidnapped had valid travel documents, while the six who were arrested did not possess valid travel documents.
It was found that the victim was kidnapped for refusing to distribute US$49,000 (RM206,550) which they had obtained through love scam activities, he added.
Meanwhile, Samsor said six men, aged between 18 and 36, were detained in connection with several housebreaking and robbery cases in raids in Rawang last Monday.
Three of those detained had previous records for crime and drug-related offences, he said, adding that police were looking for two other members of the gang. https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2019/08/31/nigerian-kidnapped-for-refusing-to-share-rm206000-proceeds-from-love-scam/

This attack on Ike is very sad. Ipob is crossing a line that may be difficult to retract from. They have turned to agboro touts and miscreants. Is this how Nnamdi Kanu and his band of agboro thugs are paying back Ike for being there for him in recent past? Very sad indeed. |
