Politics › Re: A Memo To "Atlantic Breeze" by AtlanticBreeze: 11:33pm On Feb 04, 2016 |
Honestly I preferred Otti to win. He had all my support but his romancing with APC which is an anathema in Igboland made him lose my support. Otti had a very good case but I must tell you he abandoned his good case for federal power out of desperation. How could he be calling for justice while openly celebrating injustice against Wike in Rivers. His desperation even led him to hire Dakuku's counsel. He is not the first person to be robbed of his mandate, Amaechi, Peter obi etc all reclaimed their mandate without romancing with federal power. Do you think Otti would have stood a chance if he contested on APC platform? Finally Abians should pray the incumbent falls out with Theodore Orji like in the case of obiano in Anambra. Nobody wanted obiano because the people felt peter obi performed below average and hence shouldn't force a successor on them but obiano is the best governor in Nigeria right now! |

Politics › Re: Recent Supreme Court Judgements - International Embarrassment by AtlanticBreeze: 7:54am On Feb 04, 2016 |
Mixty: I am not an APC groupie. Neither am I a PDP zombie. I have been a strong critic of the Buhari govt. I have opened threads to lambast the current APC government.
However. The truth must be told. It is shameful that the supreme court will affirm elections that both the national and international communities have condemned for the mindless rigging that the marred the election.
Two case studies are the Rivers and akwa ibom state governorship elections that were marred with electoral malpractices. both the tribunal and the court of appeal validated the fact thar bothe elections were rigged without an iota of conscience. yet the supreme court shamelessly validated those rigged elections to the surprise of Nigerians and the world at last.
The supreme court judgement of late has become a national and international embarrassment. And our highest court in the land is beginning to lose their reputation.
The supreme court is beginning to emerge as the greaest threat to free and fair elections in Nigeria.
Mixty and Kano election that gave buhari 100% votes with the REC and family destroyed afterwards was free and fair? rubbish |

I was a strong supporter of Alex Otti until I saw a picture of him celebrating Wike's loss at the appeal court with Amaechi and co. Then he also used Dakuku Peterside's yoruba lead counsel as his lead counsel. Apparently he entered into an agreement with APC. I welcome his loss at the court today.. No more room for traitor's in Igboland |

Politics › Re: Update On Awka Flyovers, Anambra State by AtlanticBreeze: 1:01pm On Feb 03, 2016 |
123papas: Peter Obi did extremely well. He amassed wealth for Anambra when the polity there was unstable for projects. when political touts when busy burning down government institutions. Before he left, Anambra government was socially secured, economically stable, only wanting for development which Obiano (a technocrat not politician just like Fashola then) is bringing. This in turn is encouraging investment form the indigenes outside the state and sparking up the creativity of the youths in the state.
Peter was not involved in God Fatherism and sustained APGA the party that brought in Willie (mainly because of his vision) and quickly disassociated himself from the party as he left government. I think he is contempt man. yawnssssssssss.... all these long epistles because there are no signature projects to die to obi's administration despite receiving more money and spending more years than obiano? rubbish |

mrvitalis: Tho this is very good news... . But I feel the state can do far more than this it's a very good start from the present governor. Under the previous administration of peter obi 2 years ago, the state was only recording 500 million as IGR monthly, if it took obiano just 2 years to increase it to 2 billion we can only hope it improves in the future |

win at all cost|dt is d lesson d suprem court teaches| don't say what you don't know. Dakuku couldn't have won the election. Dakuku and apc is not popular in the state. APC winning rivers is like pdp winning kano. you people should accept defeat for once and stop this noise |

We have learnt from our mistakes Politics is not a popularity contest. so Dakuku is now more popular than Wike in Rivers? sorry na your name. You cannot steal a mandate that doesn't belong to you. If Dakuku decides to follow your template here on winning elections then he will lose woefully again at the supreme court. Supreme court no send federal power |
