Student can invite their spouse, the process may be a little bit demanding, but the provision is there, a bit of advice: before your spouse go for the appointment, ensure to have blocked an account and submit it along with the document, don't wait to be asked, if possible get also get a little regular job, so long as you can secure a contract duration, it can also increase your chances.

As someone rightly advised, send them an email or call directly and ask if you know who is handling the file, you can even ask to speak to the person, it takes about 2 weeks usually, it is also possible that Lagos Embassy has already been notified without your knowledge, as in some cases the ABH will not inform your spouse that they have already sent approval to the Lagos Embassy. In your mail, remember to mention the date you sent the documents and I will suggest your spouse also attach a scanned copy of each document to the mail in addition should they have any issue with the previous ones.

I do understand it varies from place to place, but ABH said my spouse's documents have already been forwarded internally for the recognition of our marriage, this is not clear to me how long this will take, any idea?

Please what are the regular documents requested by ABH that one can prepare for?

Go to Nigerian embassy at Bern Switzerland and get ur passport done. It will be delivered to your address in Germany ….. I did mine there n it was fast

My resident permit (Aufenthaltstitel) expires in 30 days same time as my passport. Is it possible to still use this Aufenthaltstitel (with 4 weeks validity) to travel to Nigeria to pick up my new passport and return to Germany in 1 week? The visa fee depends on the current exchange rate.
When i went mid December, it was 35,000. I'll advise you take 40,000 incase it changes.

Please go with the verification fee of 150,000 too.

Probably you should have spoken about your experience, than using words like "faking" in your previous post, at least you've also heard from another person who had the PCR experience. Just FYI, my colleague is fully vaccinated and was returned because of PCR result older than 48hours, I also have someone who works in Lufthansa and confirmed it as a policy as at August 2021, So, its up to you to decide, its possible the conditions may vary by airlines and boarding points.

Except this changes came effect since Nigeria was declared a high risk area, but on my last trip in October, I boarded from Lagos without PCR test result, just my vaccination certificate was checked, I also did not get to fill out passenger locator form.
Travelers are always adviced to check with their airlines when booking

PCR Test of not more that 48hours before entrance is a must, whether vaccinated or not

The A1 Exam is ONLY written in Lagos .u cn learn d German language in any state but plz dnt let any1 deceive u dat d exam cn b written outside Lagos State (Goethe institute ) Lagos Island ,city hall.

That is a general message they send to everyone, Just sent the travel date and insurance, they already know your passport is with them.

When I went to the embassy, a guy came with two of his nephews who were minors and didn't have any appointment (because Paulinus asked him who had appointment for that day and he said he was the one). He had appointment for his student visa and his nephews were applying for family reunion but had no appointment. Yet, he was allowed to submit all three applications.

For my daughter, the only reason why her application was not received the same day as her mum was because she didn't have a passport then as she was just 14 days old. My wife was told at the embassy that minors don't need to book appointments online that if my daughter had her passport at the time, they would have received the two applications. She was then told that once she gets my daughter's passport, she should just send a mail to the embassy referencing her own application/file number and an appointment date would be given to my daughter. The day I sent the mail, it was around 2am or so, by morning around 8am, embassy replied with an appointment date.

If you are still not convinced, I would say you should go ahead to book the appointments for your children but when your wife is going to the embassy, she should go with them and their application forms. I'm certain she will be able to submit all applications that day. You can then cancel the online appointment afterwards.... my two cents

Regards the last two post about application for minors, can OTHERS please clarify the best option, Does my wife application covers for the minors also OR each of my children will need to make a separate application online different from my wife?

If you haven't added your family details to the DAAD portal then you should start with that. Then write to the DAAD contact person stating your intention.
My spouse is a DAAD scholar. He got a letter of invitation for me from DAAD. I called the Embassy and explained my situation, I was asked to apply for visa appointment then send my reference number and the Invitation Letter from DAAD via email. I got an appointment date within a week. You should get passports for your kids if you haven't.
You also need to have to more than a thousand euros in your account for when you get contacted by the auslander office.

Please help ask and drop update, I really need the information for my wife. Thanks

I will have to ask. I know a girl on DAAD scholarship, she got to Germany in October(she was pregnant though), her husband joined her in January. This is confirmed by me.

What I guess really happened is maybe the Foreign Office is Germany contacted German Embassy in Nigeria. But I will ask her about the details later.
