I know these stuff because my family is filled with accountants

delta and rivers will be on par with ebonyi

Now I see that you don't have an idea about ICAN. What has advance Taxation got to do with Skill level? Your dad and bro ain't you man. Their brain ain't in your head. You have yours.

And they took 2 and 3 position? You are on a long thing.

For your information, if you think companies being in your place gives your state money, you are on a long thing because it is the federal government that collects company income tax and not state government. It is the personal ncome tax of these workers that your state collects. And we know that not of the staff are paid peanut. I'm a lawyer and an ICAN(skill) level candidate. trade is different from igr

Sometimes you people make me laugh. Trade. How do you measure trade? Are there no trading activities in Northern Nigeria? Trading activities are measured by IGR to a very large extent. There are more trading activities in Lagos, Rivers and Delta than any other place in Nigeria. We are talking about buying and consuming power here. Goods are bought and consumed in these three places than other states in Nigeria.

At you following the news lately? What do you think is the reason for the uproar by Norhern States against Wike and Lagos. Th two governors now want to be collecting VAT as against the normal practice of FIRS collecting them.

Kogi is not a northern state

Is Ogun and Oyo IGR more than the IGR of all the Northern States? There are 17 Northern States. OYO and OGUN IGR that is not up to that of Delta. Or are you just being sarcastic or what?

VAT from FG/Customs is different from VAT from Lagos State.

FG Contributes half of the VAT from imports/foreign transaction/service

States Contributes half, which Lagos contribute over 70%

Op be educated accordingly

Don't confuse yourself with VAT and custom duties and other federal government levies.

what I meant by central is not by geography

I meant that it has more roads and railways for transportation to all of Nigeria

remove emotions

Lagos rail only connect the South West by rail. From Lagos to Abeokuta and to Ibadan where it ends. Warri rail connect Edo and Kogi which is a Northern State close to Abuja.

do you know that even if all south south states improve their ports
Lagos ports will always be the most productive
because of the transportation systems

Lagos is more central

right
Lagos income will reduce but it won't be much

Lagos state is not more central. Rivers for example is more closer to Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers and all South Eastern state than Lagos. Warri (Delta) is more closer to Ondo, Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, South Eastern States, Kogi and Benue than Lagos. And for the Northern part that is far from Warri, there is a railway from Warri to Itakpe in Kogi that can move goods in safer way to Northern States than Lagos.

First map is to tell you that Warri or Rivers or Akwa Ibom is closer to South South States and South East States than Lagos.

The second picture is to tell you that Warri-Itakpe way is more convenient way to move goods to the North. Remember, rail from Lagos end in Ibadan.

Keep quiet. Obaseki and Shuaibu are together on this. It is the altitude of PDP to Obaseki that is making him trying to decamp. Though Obaseki is trying to make sure that both of them get hold of the party but it is not working. PDP felt cheated by both Obaseki and Shuaibu because no true PDP member is the Governor or deputy or Speaker.

So No sea port in south south?

There are sea ports in South South but FG is subjugating them for that of Lagos to strive. If the issue of state collecting VAT scale through, Lagos State will feel the heat. It is a fish hook for them. It will lead to total revamping of the ports in Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Delta and even oil companies being directed to take their headquarters to the Niger Delta region. True federalism will kill Lagos State to an extent but Lagos is not seeing it from that angle.

By the way, I'm from Delta, Nigeria. We have the third best IGR, and most times, highest FAAC allocation

STILL ON VAT: Figures now being reeled out shows that more than 60% of VAT being generated from Lagos State is from the sea ports; can you beat that?

This simply means that Lagos state sits on our common patrimony and has an undue favouritism to develop at the expense of other port cities like Warri for no just cause. I submit that we cannot be talking of true federalism, justice and unity when some part of the country is overtly being oppressed to the economic advantage of another favoured part. Restructuring should not be only about the north vs south diatribe, it must also include as of necessity any south-on-south economic violence.

I dare to say that the conversation on VAT cannot be effectively discussed without the discussion of opening all the other ports in Nigeria, particularly the Warri port for business.

As the 1 million man march of Abacha led to the agitation for resource control then, so also must this VAT issue lead to the agitation for opening the eastern ports for business.

The city of Warri has been subjected to unwarranted economic strangulation; it can't breathe because it has a fellow southern brotherly knee on her neck!

If this is not economic banditry, what is it?

How much is NDDC annual budget? As a Niger Deltan, I am highly disappointed in all my representatives in the National Assembly.

Paying salary ke, is the same salary issue that made judiciary staff in Ogun State to embark on strike till this very moment.

Yesterday, my team members were working on their official assignment when our direct supervisor called them to return immediately to the office because he wants to use the operational vehicle to go to a meeting outside the office. Unfortunately for them, they were held down by a job that they believed must be cleared before the day runs out.

My supervisor got angry with them for coming back late and told them they are not permitted to go to field for the rest of the week, just because of yesterday's offence. And this decision is obviously without the knowledge of his higher superiors.

Having a discussion with these team members, this kept me asking what if this is a hourly payment job that their salaries will be paid based on their hourly input, is this how he will stop them for no genuine reason.

But wait!, why is Nigeria not using the hourly payment system, won't it have been better in every way?

You just dey talk anyhow. How many companies for the advance world dey pay hourly? What they do is monthly or weekly payment. Salary or wage. Hour pay na maths.

They are sophisticated. Na Wetin dem go talk. We all remember how Tinubu was asslicking Buhari by insulting Jonathan on a daily. But now, he can't even look Jonathan in the face and say rubbish. From Edo, where he was taught a beautiful Edson to the extreme end of Akwa Ibom, the South South won't vote a Yoruba man even if they present Pastor Adeboye. South South and South East people being Christians won't even give Tinubu who they see as a betrayal and then a MUSLIM reasonable votes. Abi na Fayemi wan win Atiku? South West has successfully lost that South South and South East assistance that helped OBJ became President.

Should Apc zone their presidency to Southern Nigeria, Osinbajo should have it.

Considering the way the Southern Pdp politicians are the one lobbying for the next Pdp national chairman, it's easy to say Pdp would be zoning to North which Atiku should also have it.

Who do you think have what it takes to lead Nigeria in 2023 between Atiku and Osinbajo.

You see buhari cpc caucus the owners of core north politics cant work for Atiku even after death of Buhari cos they dont share same political ideology.infact Atiku presidency is a threat to them cos they dont stand to benefit anything from him. Buhari before leaving have strategically positioned his cpc loyalist everywhere. Even if buhari go to sleep on day of 2023 election atiku aint winning in core north.
You re clown shacheesy atiku doesnt even have political clout sef. If not for pdp atiku cant even see 6milion votes in 2019.
Atiku inherited the political machinery of the major opposition party (PDP) that is what boosted his chances in 2019 not like Atiku add anything to pdp apart from his dollars.
If roles were switched and buhari was pdp candidate and Atiku was the president buhari will defeat him squarely

I'm very sure that this politics una nor sabi am. The zones not voting for PDP is due to the Buhari effect. The North West and North East vote North and not Party. And they already have this love for Buhari. If a Southerner go against a Northerner, the two zones will vote the Northerner. If Nation Newspaper like make dem bias that na their problem. You see the President so come 2023, na North I go vote. South West think they are wiser than South South and South East. You are occupying the office of Vice President currently and still want the seat of President to be zoned to you in 2023. Oh yeah, South East and South South are fools na. The last time someone from there became President, it was due to massive support from South South, South East and North, and not them. Waiting patiently for Tambuwal or Atiku to be PDP candidate make I see the Ekpa from South West wey wan become President. They think they are politically smart. If South is to retain power, the seat must be zone to South South or South East. South West option is for Buhari to rig the election for them, that is why Tinubu is still loyal to Buhari. He knows he doesn't have the number, that is why APC was considering making Goodluck their Candidate but Goodluck fast pass them (make me President and then their Fulani CJN go interpret the constitution to mean say Goodluck nor suppose contest because he is restricted by the constitution, and then gbam, they swear in the vice who will be a Fulani from North). Goodluck don see the future. No Southerner without the support of South East and South South will ever become President. It is not boasting but the fact. There are 11 states in South South and South East and 6 in South West. If they don't consider you, na North go leave their candidate come vote you? Make we see. More than 30 percent of people in Lagos State are from these zones. We already know that they are the ones giving those votes to PDP right from time even in 2015 and 2019. With them, PDP is sure of 30 percent of the total votes in Lagos. Rivers voting strength don finish Oyo own, Delta don paralyse Ogun, Edo go neutralise Ondo, Akwa Ibom go take on Osun, Cross Rivers go work on Ekiti small population. Then South East votes plus Bayelsa votes go be extra. What the South West failed to realise is that the political hatred the South South have for them currently is more than the hatred the South East have for them either politically or socially, and this was caused by them, teaming with the North to remove Jonathan.

Abeg no much talk.
