Ifrs simply mean international Financial reporting standard. It comprises of standards and guildlines issue by International Accounting standard board(IASB) for the recognition, measurements, presentation and disclosure of elements in the financial statements. Eg. IFRS 16_ Leases
While GAAP simply means Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. It connotes all principles, concepts and conventions that guides the assumptions and reliability of the transactions in the financial statements. E.g Double entry principles (the Dual concept), matching concept, etc.

I am from Edo state but based in Port Harcourt.
The last civil service recruitment under Obaseki first tenure was somehow based on merit but I was told that non indigenes were screened out at the interview stage.

But this one and yours might just be an exemption.

I heard and Interview one-time in 2018 with Halliburton in Port Harcourt. After the first stage at one hotel in pH, the two Interviewers stood up and shaked me for my in-depth knowledge and we're indeed impressed.
A month later, I was invited for a second stage.
Then I was in Ebonyi on an official assignment, on my way to the interview I had a terrible accident that the vehicle even turn upside down with tyres facing heaven.
I manage to break the glass at the bult and came out.
We got another vehicle and I came to pH, took some treatments.
On the interview day we were three, me, one pregnant lady and one younger boy.
I know I will be the most preferred cuz I am a Chartered Accountant and also with an audit experience.
But the shock of the accident was all over me.

I was ask @the Interview Introduced yourself, and I couldn't say anything.
I later managed to answer their questions and told them of the accident and they sympathize with me and ask me to go for a check up on Internal injury.
One month later, I received a regret mail.

Most employer don't know what job seekers go through.

Never undersell yourself. If you know the value you carry don’t sell yourself cheap because what you’re looking for is taking a long while. Someone who knows your worth and is willing to pay what you’re worth is out there.

Hello guys,

It's getting gradually to 2 months after the interview with Chevron multipurpose cooperatives for the Position of Accounting officer on 31 October 2020.

The last time I spoke with workforce, the guy promised me that the interview is still under review.
Up till now no info.

I beg, has the process being hijacked by man know man or is there any one out here that has received appointment letter since then?

Who are u to finalize that all prophets in Nigeria are scam. In the old when all the strategies of upholding the economy fails, the king runs to consult the prophets in the land.

Bro.... What you have said so far implies that all your strategies of success are failing.
Assess your self, I mean your relationship with God, go for counseling, ask specific questions, and above go take some deliberate step thru fasting and prayers.

My friend, does two skills u mention are not good skills for an accountant, go learn sage, Peachtree, and any others good accounting application pls, when I will be called for interview am telling you, u will be so proud u did. Am an accountant too, for like 4 year no good accounting skills until I learn 3 which are QuickBooks, sageone, and Peachtree.

Sir, I have those skills (the use of sage and QuickBooks) already including advanced use of Excel bro
