BaddieKay:same here..though the doge charger too is an astounding car ,saw one in PH and i was almost carried |
DaVinChiSam: I love me that Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S... Just yesterday I was driving it along ajegunle only for my landlord's wife to wake me up to ask for nepa bill... smh...That Benz seems like the fastest among the lots..would love to kickdown this beast to her limit |
nitrogen: Omo! see one chance o, see gbese!very gray |
jukeblam: So, have you gotten it yet?where's GAME situated? |
yungboss: biturbo v8 it is bro, besides your analysis is very parochial, lean in the lightest sense of the word. This vehicle would possibly tow a 10-link chain of Honda pilot...possibly tow a military tank...without insult, your pilot is useless compared to this car...you say 7sec to 62mph from nought is slow,(that means it would possibly do 6.5sec to 60mph) for this size of a vehicle...? I doubt your pilot would achieve that.Nice description.. needless to say anything more..i rest my points |
GAZZUZZ: This one you are using style to book space.Good work. Would be better if a little publicity/awarenesss is given to this |
orirebaby: Am not sure this private school owners know wat they are saying.Kids stay at home and are healthy , but once they go to school they keep coming home with all sort of contracted ailment; fever, cold, cough, and running noses that we the parent had to contain with, how much more these critical period. God forbid. God forbid bad thing, their crave for money will not expose our kids, especially the babes/kindergarten that knows nothing next to hygiene to any dreaded epidermic to create any possible outbreak IJN!! If they like let them resume, but my kids will stay at home. Ever since they have remain at home, they are on top health, no more running in/out of health centre/clinics for running nose and all sort of rubbish, which might even be too dangerous doing at these critical period. |
skj1377: thanks that's one of the advantages of nairaland you learn new stuff. thanks i just downloaded it and honestly its as accurate as my cars digital speedometer wow wow wow. next time am on a flight i will check the speed of the airplane.nice one..abeg come tell us when done |
king406: wish I caught u on that road man, I use that road everyday! U for see real speed Specialist900: Bros no o. Go your own oAbeg make una no make me laf!!! |
shoppyanno: LoL @ Oga Hanson. You don use big oyinbo scatter my head.Bros, the machine has a power shift next to non in her model year. If you check the gear well, you will see "+" by the right side and "-" by the left side. If you "tap" "tap" by the positive , na "eldorado", make sure you aren't behind any vehicle as you do that cos ur guess is as good as mine. Then, to return back , just "tap" "tap" it again on the reverse side by the negative, it's as simple as that. This is liken to, but much more superior to the kickdown to 3 or 2 etc in the previous steptronic auto power transmission that we are very use to. These ones does wonders too, i use it in my 190 often to overtake stubborn drivers and for maneuvering, more superior to downshifting in manual transmission. One good thing is that you can tap to any no..its a power shift you cant afford to take advantage of ..i think this is where the auto shift knockout the "stick" thing (manual transmission). Perhabs that's why lambo and all other formula 1 cars ended the stick think and moved over to auto power shifting. The world has change so fast. tsiriman: Bros, there is no way you are going to get 289hp from a c230,My brother its a typo. I meant to say 189, if you read my statement well anyone can figure out that, just like yungboss did. I didn't know when the "2" came in. |
Austyn44: cne010:My Brothers, I really thank God for saving her for me .."motto no be anything, God go bring better one sef" |
shoppyanno: Oga Hanson, Long time o. Good to hear from you. I have taken & stuck to the Kompressor. I was told its a powerful machine. Can't wait to feel the BEASTOh yeah! u are wetting my tongue.. u dont know how much i love those kompressor machines..A 4 cylinder kompressor,c230 delivers better horsepower, torque and economy than a c240 6 cylinder naturally aspirated stock engine by far. In that beast you can max out 289hp with an economy of about 20/31(city/hgw MPG) unlike c240 of 168hp with an economy of about 19/25(city/hgw MPG) of same model year. Infact you could almost hit the performance of a c320, just about 194hp. And then with the benefit of w203 gearbox equivalent, inwhich case instead of kickdown or downshift you simply tap to make tremendous overwhelming 'shoot out' , no vehicle can stand you while overtaking in this manner. I used a friends own, who just bought it newly and doesn't really understand the car. I was making nonsense of all the cars on the road while travelling to Bayelsa, each time i tap the transmission, our heads hits the headrest with the swiftest movement i have ever noticed, he finally asked me if it was a manual transmission. U need to feel that machine, it's a wonder 4 cylinder.. |
klint16: Tnx bro. I also went to visit anoda mechanic and he observed it and said its gasket issue. He said if gasket didnt create gap btw the top and the something i cant rember that i ll b hearing that noise. I think wen the previous gasket was changed it wasnt replaced with the original one.My brother, sorry dear! That's just how one bad head trailer man condemned my modified 190, that my racer and ran away..just last week. It was driven by my wife , but i really thank God for sparing her life miraculously for me else i would have been more miserable than what is miserable, though i feel that my ride so badly than even a new car. i have since taken custody of the engine(as the damage didn't get to it) , once i am done with all the issues at stake i'll look for a very clean body and transplant the engine while building it again to my taste. |
aikerism: Oga Hanson,Because of the loaded nature of the w203, as per in the state of the electricals, sensors and circuitary in general, and few rules you really need to strictly adhered to, i wouldn't advice a newbie to jump into it except you are some sort of money bag that will constantly afford a good service centre. But if started with the w202 and gain experience, with interest and enthusiasm to learn more and handle stuff, you could easily maintain a w203, w204 etc without any hassle then, else you will hate Benz especially when you would start solving the wrong problems and bypassing stuffs the way their myth sooth, as such dealings with the roadside mechanic. Aside all these, w203, especially the facelifted supercharged model is the smartest sleekiest sharp sportiest c class ever produced after 190 in this model line |
cne010: Bros 1.3 can get a W203Before you start with w203 size your pocket well |
smartchoice: My Oga am thinking if shoppyanno should get a classic Merc instead of the kompressor model....what's your take?Abeg my guy, let him take that KOMPRESSOR, its an awful machine with such a gearbox, you can 'tap' 'tap' to move like jet. thats machine you've got there boy. |
gmyguy: I love downshifting b4 overtaking....Bad guyyyy! That's my man, especially when overtaking some stubborn dude..the kickdown in auto is even more effective, especially if its the "tap" "tap" type in kompressor Benz and BMW e46 |
Eyop: My brother like inze rightly commented,#1.2million is very realistic for a 2000 model W202 whether kompressor or a naturally aspirated type.Guy, pick the kompressor you wont regret it, just know how the system works and you 'll be fine. The price is ok for a 2000 mode kompressor , even though you could still bargain something lesser, just slightly less or else still go with it. |
klint16: klint16: my c200 kompressor brings out black smoke, anyway not that much. Please what might be the problem? Also before I changed my oil I found out that the oil has short n I was hearing kokokokoko from the engine anytime I run on the street, it only happens any time I throttle the car on a low speed. I don't kn if it happens on high speed cos all I can hear is breeze, then I quickly changed the oil cos I was suspecting it was engine knocking sound but after changing oil, I still hear the sound.what can I do to stop it? It makes feel like changing the car n I love the car cos she has been serving me greatly.pls anyone with experience in the can help.thanks all in anticipation. Waiting for solns. If you haven't already solved this, i dont think you heard the noise from your engine , it may have come from your exhaust pipe, if so , then you have a damage exhaust pipe(one of the port composition is damaged on the inside, precisely the catalytic converters), clue from the black smoke, and maybe a rattling noise when you fire to high rpm, which is a sign of damage exhaust system...Sometimes some things need to be precisely observe physically than literally.. Many times i have taught of one thing from the narration of the symptom but only to discover a different thing on close examination. |
CityNG: Wait a minute.Mehn! my ride has to look pleasantly different from the crowd, even if it may be d same model yr and brand, but it must stand out unique both in performance & physical appearance the way it pleases me. it must satisfy my yearning of a ride You know what, some people think because they hate something, automatically it must be imposed on others to hate same..very wrong ideology..one man's meat maybe another man's poison..the earlier we realise this the sooner we allow others a chance and fair play in our world, to accommodate all and make life meaningful... There's nothing wrong in giving it a shot: http://www.ebay.com/gds/How-to-Add-a-Turbo-to-a-Non-Turbo-Car-/10000000177404655/g.html, http://www.ebay.com/gds/How-to-Install-a-Turbo-in-a-Car-/10000000177404707/g.html, http://www.ehow.com/how_4802481_install-turbo-car.html, http://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w202/265338-w202-turbo-installation.html, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXW_wvslbE0 http://auto.howstuffworks.com/4663-how-turbochargers-work-video.htm |
peterjero: So if one wouldn't need an engine transplant or crack a tools box, why then shouldn't I believe the Tacoma I saw was stock or was just modified to get more power with its original engine in place. And I floored it. As crazy as @abatically might sound to everyone here on this thread I seem to understand where he's driving at, take a candid look the few people that have been giving very educative replies to him are diasporians or Nigerians in diaspora. So try to get it down well all of you, as for me till I get my dream cars to modify(1996 supra and 1985 s420 benz) I won't modify any because they aren't worth the hassle for me.Man, its a matter of flare and choice; it gives you satisfaction and confidence of wht you've got under your hood and even the safety that follows your customize stability;also a feel of your ride.. There's no way i can explain this to a non petrol head, but just take a lip from here; each time i enter my cars to drive , i feel this satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment on my steering wheels; even my painting thrills, acceleration, cornering , gear selections thrills me, but that doesn't happen when i'm in other peoples steering wheel, i dont know if you get it? so to me is no hassle but its thrilling getting things tune up that way especially by myself. It's always a huge relief from stress and long day activities, thats why i like travelling in my self driven car 100 percent , do all the twisting and kickdown as i like ..when i am driving my tune vehicles,it's entering into my rest and vacation. |
abatically: Ridiculous ascertations u may call it, I call it reality. Only a minute percentage of Nigerians are real petrol heads that go the extra mile of tuning new cars. Rather than buying a new car and then tuning it to get an extra 25-30 HP, they rather buy the one with the required HP.Guy, if i bought a new car today, i will still max it performance even by extra 10 hp, if its that simple to do its even better. 20 hp is not beans , if i tell you what i could do with 20 extra hp you wouldn't believe it. it only takes some fractions of minutes to outperform an opponent, so dont call 25hp just. I am just looking out for the best tuning for my c180(i know numerous ways) and once i'm settled with that i'm gona kick up her performance too. A 153hp would outperfom a 125hp tremendously till you marvel, so its not just |
CityNG: But the badge can also be wrong.Yes the badge can be wrong like in my own case: I have a benz 190 with 2.3e badge an 80s machine, now thats suppose to carry {a 230 4 cylinder engine with a displacement of 2,299 cc and 8V (2 valves per cylinder) with a torque of 205 Nm---151 ib-ft at 3500 rpm; with a power output of 136 bhp at 5100rpm; with a top speed of 203 km/h tho speedo reads 220km/h; with acceleration 0-60 mph in 9.50 sec. but on the contrary , my car is a complete tune up}it does much more better than that for years now: Mine is a complete tune up with systems of couplers on the engine, nexus exhaust system,215/65/15 tyres with reinforce suspension and throttle system to impact an acceleration of 0-60mph(100km/h) in 8.4 seconds with extra 22hp output..i would always be infront of you no matter what if you get deceived by the badge, my c class(c180 esprit) is no match to this 80's machine , and i have had a couple of contest with it without any rival. So the badge do deceive so to say |
you're welcome |
Siena: It will read a maximum of 250 km/ (155.3 mph) because the speedo will be made for different models of Peugeot 406, including the more powerful ones. It may also be fitted to the 1.6 / 2.0 engined cars. It doesn't mean the cars will use the entire scale. It is cheaper for manufacturers to have one speedo for different models.Yes you are right, when i max out my w202 Benz c180 esprit, hoping to hit the 240 km/h calibrated mark , it almost hit the 200km/h mark but never exceeded it, where as my Benz 190(230 engine) will always hit the 200km/h mark out of the 220 km/h speedo calibration. I wouldn't use it for contest except my 190, not until such a time i should be able to install turbo to it, cos even my 190 does faster take off than it. Also, the auto gear kickdown to 3 in my 190, is an added advantage compared to the manual gearbox of the c180 |
Eldavido1: up nano silver down zmap. ..!!!!Pls note that he wasnt administered with nano silver nor zmap , he was just managed properly, untill his immune system developed against the virus. Dont pass wrong information..Thank God for boosting his immune system against the virus... |
Kingsteve: More pics of my M35...cool! that's more like it on Naija soil...that's what we want to see. |
KidProgrammer: yea bro,am jes starting out as a programmer! The info you gave there is very very valuable and adequate to any serious minded person whether learner or professional who stumble here. Infact, you have broken the ice. kudos once again. |
KidProgrammer: It is observed that when you learn something, you develop a skill related to that particular thing. As it is said that students of engineering have better logical skills compared to other graduates. Same way, it is getting necessary to know coding, even a little bit for every technical user. Earlier, it was the case that huge amount of fees was charged for the training. In order to help you out with all this code things, lots of websites were launched. These websites will help you learn programming at your own pace in the comfort of your web browser.I must really commend your effort here. I am a programmer, but some of the site you listed here can be of immense help even to older programmers..kudos |
Waoh! nice thread, where was i all this while |
yungboss: nice topic, my new BMW is already a head turner, cos when i drive by people say 'boy, i like your car', though not a typical 'ricer' head turner, its not a sleeper either, i think i prefer the sleepers... i've got 18'' chrome rims, run flats and its a coupe, e46 323ci, coupes are not commonly found in e46s here. I wanna respray it to DAKAR Yellow, with those huge dual black stripes running longitudinally fron the trunk to the hood...maybe then it'll be that head turner, i have a few stuffs 2fix up, trying to put it to taste, when i'm done, i think it'l naturally turn heads...Boy! can you pose this car here? Your description wet my tongue. All you peeps here, as subject refers, it doesn't look gud talking about head turners without seeing the said product . Let's feed our eyes, c'mon. |
smartchoice: In da body shop.Oh yeah! mint it neat and pose the pics here for boys... |
