DuchessLily:I stay in PH and uses a manual c class benz as everyday ride, though i have auto benz too. To be frank, initially i use to cry in traffic with my manual, but lol now adays i enjoy it most because i could save more fuel while in traffic and still save my legs from strain, besides i don't need to do much work than just coasting it while in traffic reducing a lot of stress on my engine and saving on gas. Ever since i discovered that secret, i have been thanking my star. While on speed/overtaking too i use my heels and toes to make nonsense of rival cars which auto wouldn't do any better in my kind of car. To me driving manual is fun all the way. I can use gear 3 and 5 with heels/toes and run my horsepower faster than it actually is and with less stress on my engine making it look as if it is a super car. However with my auto too i have different skills for it as well making my driving too funlike all the way too. I do drive it like manual most times beating any autos and manual counterparts, sometimes my occupants ask me if it is manual ..In serious traffic, i toggle between manual/neutral saving my fiber and reducing stress and heats on my engine, just like i would have done in stick but without a clutch. In fun drive and in overtaking i switch to manual too. In wild-wild-west take-off i switch to manual and move in a way no auto could do, though these are a bit stressful on the engine and take on gas than in the real manual transmission. In anyways, you need not worry about Benz engine its always equal to the task at all time and season with her superior timing chains and rugged engine block, cam, headers and cylinder heads But Bro, if you handle auto kompressor or any supercharged, with slapping steptronic, i wonder if there is any manual(no matter the level of skill) that could stand it when unleashed in like manner, if you are the skillful and fun seeker type like me? |
knightsTempler:Amen!!! |
knightsTempler:God give me money to cruise these machines in this Life |
Just check out the star, the grille and the eagle light, not to mention the handling, the sportiness, the comfort with the aura. Oh dude! Is there anything like Benz yet? |
abatically:Sometimes we may have so much in our minds that in a bid to summarise stuffs up we end up not passing the message across. Please note my terms, i said ENTHUSIAST but not BUYERS However, the Rx 300 is actually a rebadged Toyota Harrier, a mid-size crossover SUV sold since December 1997 by Toyota in Japan. In March 1998, the the Harrier in the export markets was rebadged as the Lexus RX. During this season, Toyota did not retail the Lexus brand to its Japanese customers. So the RX 300 still remains the same old bland Toyota even with the giant trapezoidal grille at the front that could call it a Lexus. Enthusiast buy cars for certain features, that is lacking in the RX but buyers just buy so far it is just a kind of reliable and convey family around with some luggages. They dont care about such features that is lacking in the RX just like any other toyota brand, such as: Not being sporty Not too good suv suspension Zero steering feel zero corner-carving potential Entirely unengaging. It’s the kind of car Lexus enthusiast(including other enthusiast) hate, but buyers love. However, there are so many buyers than enthusiast, but that doesn't change the fact, though it makes sense to buyers after a few days of living with it. Dont get me wrong, what strikes buyers is just how well put-together everything is: The controls, the dashboard, the door handles, everything feels tight and solid, the RX becomes invisible, melting into daily life easily. Yes, the made in Canada Lexus RX is good, i dont condemn it but the hype in price for what it is not as expected of Lexus. Now, in a bid to make enthusiast love it and live up to its Lexus demands which we know, they started introducing some sporty looks, as in the RX 350 F-Sport model. It tries to add sportiness to it, bringing heaviness to the steering and stiffness to the suspension, only making the RX slightly uncomfortable to no real benefit, which only ended up a misguided attempt to fit into the league without compromising reliability and cost which you can hardly retain once the introduction of such super features(Camry tried it in 2007 in the newly rebuild turnaround camry, but suffered serious setback in terms of reliability(was very unreliable), not until in the later models could they fix some few things up). Santafe is not any better cross over suv than the RX, but the 2007 Santafe is than the RX300 |
People just get rip off for this Toyota things, meanwhile this particular hyped priced Lexus RX series are rebadged Toyota(s) Harrier the most hated brand among Lexus enthusiast(except Nigerians), because it is believe to have been stripped down, evidenced in the stripped down front wheel driven mechanism etc. Unlike other Lexus brand, a lot seems to have been compromised here. In other words, it is more or less a glorified Camry that is just raised by a few inches from the ground, cheapened down for buyers, but unfortunately hyped up for Nigerians who just follow trend blindly. The 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe is by far a better cross over to the RX300, though almost of same class to the RX330 and RX350. Don't confused the fully loaded luxury brand Lexus GL to the stripped down Lexus RX series... |
chibabe3:Then you would have known an overflow abundance of peace if you were to use mazda 3 of 2006 and above model |
0rex:If you did proper alignment and wheel balancing and the problem still persist, then check your wheels to be sure it hasn't bent. You could do that by bringing the back wheels to the front to prove the point before you think of replacing them. That is if your thyroid and centre thyroid with bow joint are in order. Cheers |
Wonders shall never end, when you see people compare the strip down budgeted Toyota (or the most hated lexus brand rx among lexus enthusiast) to the fully loaded luxury compact size sedan Benz C class or any other Mercedes brand.. Is it the the high grade pan of the benz chassis they are comparing to the bournvitalike pan grade of the chassisless Toyota; or is it the sophisticated 5 independent rods that connect each of the rear wheels of a Mercedes Benz to that of a single miserable rod Toyota or Rx; or is it the superior back axle differential driven mechanism of the Mercedes Benz to the cheap inferior front wheel shaft of the the Toyota or Rx; or is it the everlasting superior loaded engine block of the Benz(with metallic Timing chain) to that of the dilapidated half bake Toyota or Lexus Rx engine with a timing belt(rubber inside engine); or is it the loaded torque, stability control, luxury, driveability, superb handling and aura of the Mercedes Benz, just to mention but a few, to that of the Toyota or Lexus Rx? i tire oh... There is this funny thing in Nigerian youths: 20-30 years ago it was the Peugeot as if there weren't any other vehicle brand; 10-20 years ago it was the Benz 190; 5- 10 years ago it was the funny Camry aka tiny light as if any other car brand wasn't it: 3-5 years ago it was the highlander and now it is the half bake Lexus Rx as if there is no other car brand . Infact, it's like saying that cowbell is a superior milk to peak milk and so on so forth , very funny indeed in their wildest imagination. Op,google the 2 cars and browse down , understand the two brand , and just pick the one that tickles your fancy most, dnt mind anything any fanatic has to say-you'll be the one to enjoy the car and not any Toyota fanboy. |
Its the tires that I love. Good for family picnics, atleast better off than the highlanders and Lexus rx |
The fastest 4 cylinder car ever produced in the world |
chucky234:You are quite correct. If i were to sell my cars, then the buyer will be the luckiest person on earth. Also a friend who just bought an ml500, really wanted to sell his well taken care of Benz 190 just for an upgrade for a price of 150k and i was shocked. People who really knew him and the car maintenance history did not even have the money to buy it then not until he changed his mind. I know of a particular guy who went from pillar to post looking for where to get money but to no avail. He eventually changed his mind and decided to keep his car for personal use when he saw me still using mine clean, strong and healthy as if it were a new car bought today. He is a well known person to me. Its just that for lack of Nigerian maintenance culture one has to be careful. What i usually consider are : The car must not lose shape The interior must be intact The chassis or frame must be intact and very strong. The under must not rust, engine still in good form etc then i could buy it and take advantage of the price and fix the rest the rest of the items myself to standard factory settings as i have money. This is where you need some skills and diagnose in order to cut down great cost. If you saw how much mechanic buy cars you would wonder if you are in the same world with them so let no one be deceived. |
chucky234:Even w202 c class. I have even stood in-between and bought w203 c240 2001 model for someone at 400k but not without letting the person know the challenges to face and he was happy even with those challenges. h e bought the car and we diagnosed and fixed all that at very little money. He is driving now happily and always coming to see me with gratefulness. I was suppose to buy the car but didn't want a c240 but c350. |
Coldfaya:I'm really sorry if i was misunderstood. I meant to say , if you bought the ones i use myself. However , i don't sell cars |
cne010:sure of course |
Gee2728:Well, we do not know if the site has been adequately updated for those plate number are invalid? I also feel that , if Nigeria is organised, Road safety should take responsibilities for those invalid numbers since they were the ones that initiated them and the entire process. They printed the plate numbers and produces the Licenses, so if they scam you by any means, report to Buhari to call them to order for deliberately defrauding unsuspicious Nigerians by their own deals. They must be sued until they offer priceless solutions to their scam. |
Eyop:Eyop , good evening , how's life? |
Fritz007:Naija used cars are by probability and luck, except you are buying from me. I can only advice that you go with a star scanner to scan the car first before you buy, else just earmark like 1/3 to 2/3 of the amount of purchase for any fixes that could possibly arose |
eazy12:your filters may be badly dirty . you may just need to change or clean them up if you go through the passenger side under the leg you could remove it and replace with new ones, ther you could start enjoying deadly chilling ac |
iluvmoscow:I doubt, any fixes may just be temporal. the best bet is to change the exhaust. It rather so expensive overthere. china could produce a similar thing for 1/10 of that price and may still last you for a couple of years.. If you were in Nigria i would say just come to the market with abut N60,000.00 and get a complete exhaust unit with the catalytic converters intact(somthing from korea or good china grade) However, if you could continue with xft overthere consistently it may clear the clogging in your catalytic converters(if they are not already broken inside)and fix back things, though i'm not giving you a hundred percent assurance, but its a 50 50 thing. But definitely it will improve a lot of things on consistent usage. |
iluvmoscow:Oh no! I dont know if this is too late already, you waited with this problem for too long. The technological build of your car was for consistent premium fuel, but you have been doing the opposite, consistent unleaded fuel- This will not only produce so much buildup in your engine and shorten your service interval as well as damaging your catalytic converters , you oxygen sensors not excluded as well as your combustion chambers. Scan the car first to know how much damage may have been meted. If i were you, i will start with the easiest and cheapest fixes. Start going on premium fuel consistently (you may never find it here) But you could treat every fuel you buy with xft consistently, double dosing the first 2 usages, perhabs this might solve the problem and save you lots of bucks, else you might need to change your complete exhaust system alongside their catalytic converters(this would always be inside any genuine exhaust system you buy)and clean up your nuzzles and throttle body as well as you plugs. After which, you will start getting boost in performances and cleaner running, but dont stop the use of the xft(some people uses octane booster, though i and my friends are living testimonies of xft). You could gain back 100 percent of your lost power in consistent usage. 90 percent of the benzs/bmw on our road loses a lot of power due to negligence of this nature. Toyota supra, mitsubishi eclipse, lexus es, hyundae genesis and any other japanese car built in this order of performance are not left out find my links on these...i'll be right back |
kenx1:Thank God that you've got the number that is isnt yet assigned to anybody. Better take the number now and go get registered properly before another persons does it for you to become a fake owner. |
inze:It means your car registration was doctored.."dagbo" , maybe. That is to say its not yet registered though you are with the number to book space. ![]() |
It works to some extent on very minor scratch. But the best bet is to get a finished marker pen, your paint color codes mixture and clear coat with a soft/smooth sand paper and skillfully do the work excellently after which you apply wax and get your scratch perfectly fix by DIY. Note that you need to develop some skills of getting it perfect here |
leadknight123:My bros, the mobil1, 0W40 sold in Nigeria is questionable, in that it doesn't last that long and do forms sludge |
robedu:My Brother, if you want low budget and peace of mind, just understand your car and DIY on it the industry standard way-many does it this way the world all over. It doesn't condescend your personality, else drop your car with qualified service centre and go to sleep, if you are the BIG BOSS type(money shouldn't be an issue here). Service centres though expensive, will put the car overall mechanism back in good working shape. I DIY my 3 Benz's, keep them functional at maximum factory health all year round at almost no cost, contrary to the opinion of some who claims that these cars are unreliable-tho i'm surprise to hear a toyota behaves this way-i tought they way the most reliable brandm as polished here always... ![]() |
adanny01:Nullified..BIG NO to you brother...This is your opinion, Naija is not an exemption..Better come to the South South and east and see what we do with RWD and AWD are the better options here. The OP is correct except for the plagiarism. He deserves a round of applause for digging this out... |
lezz:Good mehn!! Lets call a spade a spade, and stop twisting things simply because we use one thing and wouldnt admit the other. A front wheel car till tomorrow is a budget vehicle, cheaper to produce and for slimmer pockets no matter the spec, where as the rear wheel is da machine for men who knows whats up and more importantly the all wheel drive with centre differential is the "ko ko", but if you may not need that extra cost, you are ok with the rear drive. Both rear wheel and all wheel is no budget thing, and not for economy mindset. So if you want fun, you pay the price for fun and have it(its someone that marries a beautiful loaded wife), and not confused up things and call a fork a spade. I for one will never be a fan of fwd, if all the manufacturer likes, let them turn to fwd to cut cost and stipend profit, but i cant patronize them, period.... |
tuco02:Benz is always build to sophistication, no matter what haters may say. When you drive Benz , you are driving a sophisticated engineered machine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ih-Ia7oIqZM |
Janet101:I don't know how to drive without shoes on, how do i maneuver? how do i do some sudden fun skillful things on the pedal, clutch and brakes? How does the pedal felt on my tender foot? very uncomfortable. |
Ladipodeal:From experience, when i had a similar issue with my car, when i changed the OVP everything became normal; the speedometer started working fine; my Abs stops that occasional appearance too. Bottom line is that things like this is always good at on-spot diagnose. So scan first, before you know which of the electrical device to either clean/change, or even unplug and plug back...Though i didn't need to scan mine cos i have my car in my finger tips and my car knows me and listen to me too because of the love i showers on her. |
. Ever since I got my corolla (which I named 'Peace'), I have actually known abundance of peace.
