gmyguy:I have a goggle camera which I use to do my recordings while driving, its also very good. You just wear it like an eyeglass while catching the fun and recording at the same time.. I have several videos I have done with it both racing and some stunting, doughnut, etc, which I wouldn't like to post online in order not to spoil some little minds to go viral and lose control.. However, see one of my youtube video with it on a Saturday outing(fast forward to enjoy the actual fast street normal driving but not racing): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYVlbyWhUeI |
Omoh! you are very correct in all, another version is continues release and slamming down, assuming you are met with another stubborn nigga with a faster car. By this, you will reach and overtake and lost if you are using a manual Benz like me. Another baddest method, which is even worse, is that you could release and slam down the pedal while kicking down at the same time to a lower gear to achieve such feats b4 proceeding to higher gear, if you are using manual like mine, or return your auto tranny to manual 3 if you are using steptronic b4 proceeding again to a higher gear. But your engine must be very strong like mine to withstand this very one. I have a c180 Esprit with a modify throttle cable system. Omoh, I have been wondering which 6 cylinder nor 8 cylinder can stand it. I haven't really seen much different with my 8 cylinder ml500 except for torque and a little quicker acceleration which I could always manipulate my 4 cylinder to catch up with, but not without some shouting. its the fastest 4 cylinder in her category |
I salute you with an Heroic welcome, my one and only EXPRESIDENT |
Happy Birthday to the one and only respected hero of Democracy. Let the Dullard and the incompetence continue to swirl ignorance instead of moving the country forward, an opportunity you have offered them to prove their ignorance and incompetency. |
tiimms:Of course it does. Have had examples of Honda cars |
EgunMogaji:Ok! So, what engine type will be best for this project that can go into this Benz 190 hood to achieve this feat? |
EgunMogaji:Hello Egun, the stright-six M103 103.980 engine from Bnez 300 that displaces 2960cc in its factory form is a very powerful but very cheap engine that people do not regard. It is very rugged and can stand anything in the real sense of the word. Such engine are very rare. Then with the kind of force induction system and the Holset HX52 turbo that will be submersed there , the sky is the limit, if it is properly done. My only contention is for the programming guys who will programme the Vems ECU and REMAP stuffs that will propel this iconic beast Then with the 60mm wastegate, 4″ stainless downpipe and 3.5″ exhaust, oil cooler and rear-mounted radiator with the 16″ cooling fan, i believe things will definitely be cooled down here |
Siena:Hello Siena, the 1680cc injectors flow 1600 cc/min at 43.5 PSI ( 3 BAR ) and are fully compatible with alternate fuels. That means that these injectors are able to function at high fuel pressure such as the type needed for turbo charged engines and do not exhibit the high fuel pressure handling problems found with many other high flow high-impedance injectors making it very suitable to turbocharged and supercharged applications that sees high fuel system pressures. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9zvSmsJVoI Remember with 500 x 350 x 76 mm intercooler with 3''piping , marmander blow-off-valve with a Turbobanditen stainless exahust manifold and the two KL-Racing 044 fuel pump , we are expecting a lot of forced induction and fuel pressure that would need an equally very powerful injection system to cope with that kind of Holset HX52 turbo and the forced air induction that would bombard the system else the piston may be damaged. We need to reason things here, i dont believe in impossibilities Siena:I think that is some education there i never considered before. I was looking at it at the standpoint of weight reduction on the system with the effect it will have on the Sachs 765 pressure plate and ASD differential that will come from from Benz W124, 2.5-16V ASD driveshafts. What full face clutch will you recommend here? thanks |
Ikenna351:That is the King of Lion talking. Take it from him |
EgunMogaji:The engine in question is M103 103.980 is a straight-six cylinder displacing 2960cc as in factory Benz 300 engine as pointed above(If the displacement alone should displace 2960cc, i see no reason why i shouldn't get 700 ponies after all the modifications. Look the item list again) . Definitely its gonna be a transplant with all the project list items enlisted there for the mods. The bottleneck now is the computer programme? Alternatively, the other way is maintaining the stock engine with stock chassis for just about a boost of 150 horeses? So what is your take on this? |
EgunMogaji:I was just wondering and a little captivated by the scenario on view and tried to link to the project i'm handling at hand. I have a Benz 190 which i intended to Turbo boost to the tune of 700 horses. I have itemised all the component needed but have little problem with who will reprogrammed the chip when eventually done? This is not going to be an over night project, i will take my time to go about it , because it could be very expensive too but i dont mind the time frame . So i may just decide to halt and just do a 150horses boost on the stock chassis and engine or thereabout if you could have some offerings here in terms of some suitable advice? I am taking you on your post. In my orignal plan , i have a straight 6 cylinder Benz 300 engine and a donor Benz 190 chassis in very perfect shape. the project items list is as follows: Engine M103 103.980 2960cc, standard bottom, pistons, rods, match-ported head with standard camshaft and dbilas valve springs, Elring head gasket, OEM head bolts, modified manifold for Bosch 1680cc injectors, custom fuel rail, 500x350x76mm Intercooler, 3″ piping, Marmander blow-off-valve, Turbobanditen stainless exhaust manifold, Holset HX52, 60mm wastegate, 4″ stainless downpipe and 3.5″ exhaust, oil cooler, KL-Racing 044 fuel pump x2, 13mm feed line, 11mm return, 19L fuel cell, rear-mounted radiator, 16″ cooling fan, Bosch Motorsport coil pack, Vems ECU, running on E85 with 2-bar of boost. Driveline Getrag 717.404 dog-leg 5-speed gearbox, lightened and balanced flywheel by DLI-Teknik, 4-puck sintered clutch, Sachs 765 pressure plate, ASD differential from W124, 2.5-16V ASD driveshafts. Suspension Bilstein B8 shock absorbers, shortened AP springs from R129, Dibed camber plates, R129 wheel hubs, Hedgehog polyurethane control arm bushings, delrin subframe bushes, 28.5mm front anti-roll bar, 13mm rear, S124 drop links, stiffened subframe and rear top mounts. Brakes Brembo 4-piston calipers, EBC YellowStuff pads, 330mm drilled discs (front), ATE 2-piston calipers, EBC YellowStuff pads, 300mm discs (rear), steel braided brake hoses, rear mounted ABS, hydraulic handbrake. |
GreatAgb:Since you have changed the power steering pump, and your steering rack is in order, you may have to look at the steering pump belt too and examine physically to be sure it is in good order. I may not know for Peugeot, but this usually make a lot of people sell out their MB ML and GL when wrongly diagnosed. Alternatively , it wouldn't be bad idea if you could post the scan result here to enable us narrow down this issue. Also there is nothing better than onsite observation and examination of the physical components, else every other thing could be guess work. |
Hello EgunMogaji, is that your garage? |
Hello Guys, good morning to you all. Just wish to inform you that this morning i had to replace my air filter back to the air cleaner after having cleaned it thoroughly. Reason, just noticed a little up, though insignificant in fuel consumption. The power is good but i could have all that power with my ML 500 to flock around when needed, but for the c180 , it must be economy all the way especially in this season of gas unpredictability in Nigeria. Cheers |
kingreign:your blown fat lies in defense of you HL & Toyota, just because that's what you drive, but you can only deceive yourself and the undiscern. You know about "vehicles" but not cars, who cares about your bland vehicles when the cars are out there. My ML500 rocks solid and sturdy on highways bends, offroads etc smashing your HL and Rx, keeping them to where they belongs to. Your Toyotas cant even stand whims of those cars you mentioned(G wagon,ML etc) so its all envy on their prowess and capabilities. I believe by now you would have been overwhelmed by enough evidences against your dilapidated half bake Toyota's and HL in particular. Proven facts not gambling as breed across board. |
2017 E Class , The bread and Butter of Mercedes
|
piagetskinner:They broke a record in CLA amg and GLA which the world is still trying to catch up but to no avail-The fastest 4 cylinder(over 355HP) with the best economy(23city/31highway with 0-60mph in just 4.4 sec) any car manufacturer has ever recorded. I am still watching out to see who will break this record. https://www.nairaland.com/2683604/power-becoming-cheap-13-fastest We can do better than that. Give some pictures to spice up flare
|
homirefacuny:That's Mercedes for you, the pace setters for Cheats(Toyota & Lexus) to copy in very wrong half haphazard manner. |
But the manner at which the flip varies, some have all tendencies to flip, even at straight line if you dare exceed certain speed limit, while some are built with all sophistication against that. EgunMogaji:Oh you now believe that they do flip? Especially the Toyotas:Camry, Corolla, highlander, Rx, etc flips at the slightest provocation without warning. Dare pull them above any normal limit then wait for the music. Compare the manner of flips you showed here to that of your Toyota and give straight judgement there. What you have shown here are pure car crashes-accident that causes the flip, but what has happen to your Toyota are deficiency in technology clearly shown. kingreign: |
kingreign:Oh yeah! whether you believe or not , it doesn't stop the reality from happening. That is Toyota Celica flip over because of too much power it couldn't handle. This further confirms the inadequacies with your Toyota chassis, and this is just one of too many cases.. this cant happen to Benz , BM or those real muscle cars. You can continue to deceive yourself and believe in what is fake, i don't care. Flip over Toyota Celica Paradise Crash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBS9lCjGZo8 |
kingreign:You got it wrong again, i am not an anti Toyota contrary to your hypothesis, but i dont know how to accept what is not correct in th light of truth, especially when you have to paint Toyota more valuable than actually what it is. I have several reasons for liking Benz, but just fell in love for those muscle cars because of their recent improvement. I think you are getting something wrong here. Watch out the tuned Benz's, BMW's and the real muscle cars, no matter the horse power you through at it, it would never lift flip and fall over . Have you not seen those jap mobile flip over and fell on race tracks because they couldn't just handle the horse powers thrown at them? Have you ever seen a Benz or Mercedes front kicking into high heaven/flip and fall for any reason for any amount of horse power thrown at it? That is the message i'm trying to pass across here and i believe Prudence may have difficulty explaining this right |
Imagine a 1966 iconic classic American car,Chevrolet Corvette Stingray handling/contesting favourably with a 2015 Toyota Camry, a modern mid size sedan. Does that not ring some bell to tell you what stuffs are made of? What is there to compare again? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6RIb9EyDtE |
Can you drag race a Toyota chassis with such level of doughnut and stunting and rope taut?: Dodge Hellcat-Viper-Hellcat Thrash Battle! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOQe1hWvX_c |
Mehn! that was a good one. You can imagine those 1968 muscle-maniac frames stuffing over 700hp in their hood and still stand against any wreckage. Is that not amazing? which Toyota chassis can do that? Pls tell me? and then someone would call those muscle-maniac crap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRh5KIVO3CM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpQlD-FLZMU |
I repeat, no Toyota can withstand any of those muscle cars, not even the least of them. The last Toyota that could have made impact is already dead, and that is the Supra |
Dont forget that you could equally introduce nitros there to boost performance just like turbo...So distilled water to decarbonize the system shouldn't cause any alarm. Just try it and you will be surprise at the after performance..pls don't expect too much from this, it only restores lost power. How To Install NOS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EY25EjnH7K8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N-HSI6ls6E |
peterjero:I love the Supra so much just like Mitsubishi Eclipse, but i bet you, its the only car that Toyota could ever produced, but unfortunately , they couldn't keep with it because it wasn't their thing, they only veered regrettably into it(it cost them too much to handle. they couldn't have kept with the pace). It was meant for the big players who could afford such. They later tried to exhume it in the disguise of Toyota Gt,another failed bland, but to no avail brother. kingreign:Americans don't buy those cars you mentioned because they love them but because they are cheap blands as a result of budgeted mechanicals, as they have nothing to worry about as in poor roads. So the poor Americans buy them as they took advantage of affordability bland , but not power, as they are poor men SUVs overthere. To them it is an opportunity to own just a "motor" and keep with the fueling which they may not have been able to keep with in their muscle machines. Watch out any patrol head in America or the world allover, will not go near your so call 4 runner nor highlander, these are just bland motors, cant be compared in anyway near the sophisticated Ford trucks that the Americans pride with. Infiniti, Nissan, or the Genesis coupe posted there are specially produced to fall in place, just like Toyota did with their discontinued Toyota supra regrettably because it wasn't their thing, but even at that, their engine & looks tells volume, and is nothing compared to those muscle cars posted up there. |
Pineapp:Are you sure you can pay the price of labour? Remember , she is a natural woman , and eat natural things from the farm-and down to earth, with Gods special Grace she was able to stand it, and deliver three naturally serially consecutively within stretches of hours. Many don't have such grace. Unlike our modern women who cant even stand one baby's labour, talk less of delivery. It isn't so easy as it is written here. If you have been there once, you can only imagine it. |
You could as well go the pro way as indicated below, by removing the complete pvc system and replace with the after market pro type. But in my case, that wasn't necessary because Benz air intake system is already almost excellent and may not need such modifications to gain any extra horses: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwNtjKT_1cA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5ujAOLyBVk |

GETTING AS MUCH FROM YOUR COLD AIR INTAKE FOR PERFORMANCE ..Got me curious this morning, so i decided to further squeeze out any left over horses from my c180 4 cylinder engine. Behold it worked. Instead of spending some tangible bucks for performance air filter, like K and N air filter, i decided to remove my air filter and modify that unit for free flow of air into the air intake while still maintaining a very good level of filtering to filter out dust and other particles. Though there was no dynamo to test if i gained any extra horses , but the fill of my throttle and acceleration proved that right. I believe i would have gained extra 7 or more horeses, as extra air could mix with fuel to accelerate the machine faster. This is what i did, see picture below: I first open my pvc/air cleaner compartment and removed the clogged air filter to leave that compartment with no restriction for free flow of air. I then install a net(very tiny pores net) with double rubber band inside the pvc that leaves the air cleaner chamber to hold it in place. I install another net at the PVC that terminate at the PVC that leads to the throttle body. I then remove the outer part of the PVC restriction hoes that actually sucks air from the outside and replace a cotton material there with the use of triple strong rubber band to prevent the tiniest dust from filtering into the chamber, that is after i would have spray the inner wall of the air cleaner chamber with some oily substance to trap down any dust that would have escape by magic or otherwise into this chamber. I took out the ride for a test , and behold it felt better than it was actually before. Real HP were gained. Its not hard to notice gains and loses in horsepower from a 4 cylinder engine, if you usually took her to her limit.

Come to think of it, that Camaro SS is the baddest muscle coupe anyone can afford at that price. You could make this a nice wall paper too. So intimidating... Needless to mention the Shelby GT 350 Mustang. The car and the name alone makes a lot of sense with such huge horeses and at such price too. Where are these Tokumbo machines here? Strong mechanicals, musclemaniac...
